Paper Pumpkin July 2018 Review
This month’s theme is “Blissful Blooms”:
The instruction leaflet is not as informative as the how-to-video on YouTube, which I prefer to watch before starting the project. I use the instruction leaflet as a guide when I get stuck on a step.
Enclosed in each monthly kit is a water-based dye ink stamp pad, this month’s color is blackberry bliss and a photopolymer stamp set. The photopolymer stamp set has flowers and these sayings: “THANK you!,” “THINKING OF you,” “Congratulations,” “YOU MAKE ME SO happy!,” and “THE LOSS IS immeasurable BUT SO IS THE love LEFT BEHIND.”
Enclosed is an info sheet indicating next month box, “Something Spooky This Way Comes” and the hauntingly fun box it will be for its subscribers. Subscribe by September 10 to receive the box.
Here I am stamping the sentiments.
I adhered the dimensional dots on the back with the vellum leaf.
Here I am adhering the stamped sentiment on the card base.
There are ten cards with white envelopes with silver trim on the back of the envelope and pink speckled dots on the inside flap, which gives the envelopes a fancy look. Also, I used a couple of different stamps from my collection on two of the cards. These cards were easy to assemble, but the vellum leaves in green and white didn’t do anything for the cards, and they were hard to see on the cards. Maybe have a glitter stamp pad for an added touch and a pop of color to the cards instead of stamping the sentiments on the foil tags. The pink and silver twine, my least favorite item in the box, gave the card some flair when paired with the green and white vellum.
Verdict: This month’s Paper Pumpkin was easy to assemble, and the floral designs are pretty. I especially like the floral print for this month cards, and it seemed to be in season since we are heading into fall. This month’s cards didn’t have too much assembly to it which is fine with me. Sometimes the easiest of crafts that are simple come out to be just right. If you love crafting and sending the cards to friends and family or gifting the cards to another, this is the subscription to try out. This craft kit sends quality paper products and all the materials to make a variety of cards well worth the $19.95 a month subscription cost.
