Even the box is special and super cute each time!

Once you turn it inside out, you'll reveal the "Naturally Cute" design. I think it's meant to be in these gray/beige tones, but I feel like the box would be really fun and easy to color in, too!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Summer 2018 Sanrio Small Gift Crate Review

The info sheet doubles as a mini poster. I like that they provide a visual depiction of the items in addition to listing them out.

Exclusive Multi-Character Toiletry Pouch

The iridescent plastic sides of this pouch make it look like Hello Kitty and friends are floating in their own mini aquarium! I like the silvery accents and the shell zipper pull. It's perfect for makeup and things, but I could also see using this plastic pouch to hold my phone, keys, wallet, and any other objects that I want to keep from getting sandy while I'm hanging out at the beach.

Exclusive Hello Kitty Mermaid Plush

How sweet is this little kitty!!! I love her rainbow accents and flippy little tail. Her head and arms are soft and fuzzy, so she's delightfully snuggly. This plush is about 6" long from tail to the tips of her ears, and there's a plastic hook attached to her head so that you can clip her to a backpack or hang her somewhere fun.

Multi-Character Tank Top

This shirt is a simple design—just white ink on turquoise cotton. It's a little stiff right now, but I feel like it'll loosen up after a few washes. I like the summery color and the castle motif on the print.

Exclusive Embroidered Patch Pin Set

I love this style of pins! You get the same fun finish as with a patch without having to commit to the placement of a sewn- or iron-on patch. The beachy hues of these little critters will make a nice addition to my denim jacket or beach-bound backpack.

Sanrio Trinket

This box's trinket is a set of stickers featuring Pompompurin and their friends. I love this squishy golden retriever, so I can't wait to pop these all over my planner.

Bummer of all bummers, one of the items in the box was delayed! You can see a pic of this sarong on the product list, but unfortunately, it won't be getting to me for a little while. Fingers crossed it comes soon!

Verdict: This box was soooo cute! I just wish the sarong was in there with everything else, especially since it's one of the bigger items in the box. I liked the beachy colors and the iridescent accents. While I do appreciate when there is a big mix of products and styles in a box, I kind of love that each installment of this subscription box follows a set theme, either in terms of the designs they use, the characters, or the color palette.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Unfortunately, no. But you have until June 15th to sign up for the Summer box!

Value Breakdown: At $44.99 for this box, for 6 items (including the delayed sarong), you are paying about $7.50 each.

I’m glad I cancelled before this box, I would have definitely been disappointed. It’s too bad, I subscribed from the beginning and the first 3 boxes were great, but after that the quality has gone down so much along with all the delays that I don’t feel it’s worth the price anymore.

I canceled it after this month too. The box fit in my mailbox and that has never happened before. This box was lacking. Their boxes were really good until the last two boxes. I mean they put a sweatshirt in a spring box that didn’t arrive until summer. I live in Texas so I probably couldn’t have worn it if it had come on time anyway but at least it would have made more sense. This box was not worth $50. And I saw that several of their crates are having issues. I wonder if they are going under. It’s a shame because I’ve gotten this box since the beginning and I loved it. I told them exactly why I was canceling too. Not that they particularly cared

Such a bummer, Tonya – thank you for sharing your experience! I’ve only just started checking out this box, so it’s awesome getting your perspective as a long-time subscriber! The delays and missing items definitely don’t bode well for it. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

So disappointed with this box and so glad I cancelled after this one. Wish i would have cancelled before and saved myself the money though. I wish I would have gotten any of the boxes from last year. But oh well, live and learn.

Loot Crate is clearly struggling. The spring box this year was very delayed, and while this box seems timely to me it is missing an item.

I like the plush and trinket better after reading the review. I had not realized there was a clip on the stuffy or that the trinket could be opened.

While I am good with a second set of patch pins, I think that is about my limit, so I hope they pick something new for the fall box. I think that’s my last box- I don’t anticipate renewing. I would rather buy items from the Sanrio website that are created especially for Sanrio instead of just printing a Sanrio print on another item. For example, a pouch from the Sanrio store would have a Sanrio character dangling from the zipper, not a shell.

FYI you didn’t update the text from your previous review- this box is blue when turned inside out, not grey.

I’m going to wait and see how the next box is, but In comparison to the prior boxes it’s missing the mark for me. When Impicked up the box from my porch it was so light I thought wth, quality has gone down 😑

It’s so interesting for me to hear what folks who’ve subscribed for awhile are feeling about this box. It sounds like Loot Crate has some work to do gaining back their subscribers’ trust and excitement – delays and inconsistent quality aren’t fun for customers! Thanks so much for your comment 🙂

I hated this box; I’m so glad that I cancelled my subscription. The box is always shipped late and the quality is poor. Every clothing item that I have received already looks faded and worn.

This was my first time with this box and I was pretty underwhelmed. Quality of the items not too great and shipping SO late plus missing item. Also, I ordered a large shirt and it was huge….are these items meant to be unisex?

The same thing happened with the Wizarding crate from Loot Crate…little not inside saying there was a delay, insert showed a it was a tshirt. Delays in shipping all the time and now items just missing. Not sure how I feel about it.
