Under Armour: ArmourBox Review
I couldn't be more excited to review this brand new subscription service from Under Armour! As someone who had always been jealous of Liz getting a ton of new workout gear, there is finally a box for both men and women!
Before we jump into the gear, let's go through the sign up process.
You'll need to go through a few steps to create your style and workout profile. The items sent to you will revolve around your choices in these categories:
One important thing to note about this subscription: You cannot work out in these clothes and return them - so you'll simply need to try them on for fit and feel to make your decision.
You'll be greeted by this little card that details a few items in your box.
Since they sent this for review, we did not get a return slip - but subscribers will receive a return slip and new seal tape in this little envelope.
The prices will be the current selling price for items on UA.com - and you'll receive 20% off if you keep the entire package.
MK-1 Short Sleeve Shirt - Cost To Keep $30
I've been buying and trying new workout shirts over the past year, so I feel I have a decent feel on the quality of them at this point - and this one is very light and breathable!
It's a 90/10 polyester/elastane blend with material that wicks sweats and dries fast - perfect for working out in the summer. The fit was pretty true-to-size as well.
MK-1 Sleeveless Hoodie - Cost To Keep $50
This one ended up being a bit of a surprise for me. I've never worn a sleeveless hoodie and was of the mindset of "why does this exist?" - but they exist because they're super comfortable!
It's light and I didn't heat up in it - I wore this during a hot summer day, too. It's really useful if you need that little extra layer of a bit of warmth or even just a hoodie pocket for working out.
I never mind having an extra pocket, especially in work out clothing! This is a 100% polyester top with the same sweat wicking and quick drying as the MK-1 shirt.
UA Woven Graphic Wordmark - Cost To Keep $30
What's a workout outfit without some shorts! These are 8" inseam ultra-lightweight athletic shorts.
These are incredibly light - which I love in a pair of workout shorts - and most importantly for me, there's no liner.
ArchiTech Futurist Shoes - Cost To Keep $120
They completed my outfit with a pair of intense looking shoes!
These shoes almost mold to your foot with compression lacing in combination with the arch zipper.
They're heavier than what I'd mornal wear for working out - but they're also very comfortable once they're nice and snug on your foot. Most importantly, the heel and foot soles felt very supportive.
Here it is all together! I took this out on a 30-minute workout - everything was very comfortable and the clothing did what it described - wicked sweat and dried fast!
HeatGear Armour Men's 3/4 Leggings - Cost To Keep $31.99
While I'm very familiar with HeatGear compression gear from Under Armour - I really stand by their Heat Gear compression tank top - I have never worn compression leggings in my life. I wore these underneath the shorts and they did a great job of cooling me down - but I'm not sure these would become a regular for my workout routines.
The Verdict: Under Armour holds a special place in my heart lately - I've been living by their MyFitnessPal app to achieve my weight loss goals, and I use their compression undershirts when working out every day - so I was excited to see that they have a styling service! Like other clothing styling services, you're going to get the most value if you need a lot of gear and don't really have the time to go shopping - it was a great way for me to discover some new UA products, too. Overall, I enjoyed trying the new gear - and with a $0 styling fee, it's pretty risk-free - just don't work out in the clothes that you don't want to keep!
What do you think about the Under Armour: ArmourBox? Are you going to try it?
