Each box comes with a booklet detailing the items included and why the Allure Beauty Editors selected them.

Now, on to the items!

MAC Lipstick in Lustering – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $18.50

(Subscribers will either receive this shade or Ruby Woo.)

I don't usually wear a bold red lip, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this - it's more like a glossy sheer watermelon pink. (But if you want more pigment you can add another swipe.)

So, this ended up being surprisingly wearable for me! Here it is swatched:

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial – 15 ml Value $24

(According to the booklet, subscribers will either receive this or Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream.)

This facial is designed to brighten complexion, and alleviate fine lines, free radical damage, and enlarged pores.

You leave it on for 20 minutes, it stays tacky throughout, then rinse off with water. Immediate results? SUCH smooth skin!

IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel - .5 oz Value $2.90

(Subscribers will receive this or Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast - 3 oz)

This is a coconut-oil infused styling product designed to be applied on damp hair followed by air drying. It smells amazing (sadly, the scent didn't linger in my hair), and I found it added a little texture to my hair, too. I have the type of hair that never air dries into beautiful beachy curls, and this didn't change that for me, but I still like it as a styling cream.

Tarte Tarteist Pro Cruelty-Free Lashes (Center of Attention) – Retail Value $12

I've been wearing lashes for unboxing videos lately, so I'm thrilled to have another set! And these are natural-ish looking, too. (Let us know if you'd like to see a tutorial for using these lashes.)

Tarte tarteist Pro Lash Adhesive – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $9

And props to Allure + tarte for including lash glue with the lashes! This glue dries clear, is easy to use, and like all tarte products, it's ingredient-conscious.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $66.40 I think that's a great value for a $15 beauty box. And this is such a glam + fab box! I love the brands and the products! (And again, I'm so pleased that Allure also sent lash glue with the lashes!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! As of publication, this box is still available. To make sure you get this as your first box, scroll down this page to make sure you see these products featured.

my september box (1st box ever) doesn’t have the tarte lash glue, instead they gave me ole henriksen walnut scrub. I’m not sure if I should contact them or not.

I was a previous subscriber but canceled. Late August/early September, I received a “We miss you!” email saying that if I subbed back, I would receive a $98 value beauty bundle if I subbed back. I contacted customer service twice to make sure this was legit and they said it was, so I subbed back. I received my September box yesterday and can’t wait to see what the bundle will be! Did anyone else get this offer? Or just me? I think it’s a tiny bit ridiculous that they are giving away bundles with that high of a value, but that’s awesome!

I just got my box. I wasn’t paying too much attention to it since I knew I’d gift a lot of things in it (don’t wear fake lashes) except the babyfacial – I’d resigned up for the extra beauty set deal. But, once I got the box, I realized I’d use the coconut gel too AND I seem to have been given an extra product? I got an OleHenriksen transforming walnut scrub – full size! Was this some sort of extra gift??! I’m not technically a new member since I’ve been subscribed before. Consider me bribed to stay re-subscribed for a while, lol…

J

hey! I got the ole henriksen walnut scrub too, but I didn’t get the lash glue. did you get the tarte lash glue?

I got the volume blast but really wanted the IGK oil!! Is swapping a thing??

Reply ButtonReply

Lb

I would like volume blast – I got the hair gel – I’m on the swap board.

my least favorite allure box so far. have no need for fake eyelashes since mine are huge and black (lucky me i know). also did not like the mac lipstick. not much color or hue to it. everything else was forgettable. I hope next month’s box is better! once my 10.95 promo is gone – so will i be!

Just curious how many on the west coast are still waiting for their box to arrive?? I was sent tracking 8 days ago and have been losing my mind watching it take the scenic route. Also, Las Vegas is the distribution center for all my mail ( I live in AZ) and it was sent to Las Vegas then sent to Fresno, CA Distribution Center. Its been there since Thursday of last week and my link still does not show an expected in-home date. Im really curious if anyone else is experiencing this detour on their box :/

Reply ButtonReply

I’m from WA – I’m still waiting for my box from my first account. The box from my brand new account came over a week ago.

I got mine yesterday in Los Angeles. Happily, got the babyfacial and volume blast, so the variation I was hoping for. Also the Ruby Woo, which is scary red for me, but I’m excited to experiment with it. That’s the fun of sub boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

I’m in Nor Cal and just got mine today- tracking went from waiting in IL, to waiting for pickup in Las Vegas. Hypodelviered yesterday per USPS tracking but actually got delivered today. 🤷‍♀️ this is the latest that I have ever received a box from them

Reply ButtonReply

Renee

i got mine today in studio city, ca.

JuJu

I ordered two of this box, one from Allure and one from Amazon. The Allure one came today, I got Ruby Woo, Sukari, and Living Proof.

Let’s see what I receive tomorrow in the Amazon one now…

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Received the Amazon one today, it’s exactly what I wanted! Suraki, Lustering, and the Rich Kid gel.

So I got an ounce of the babyfacial for $25, both MAC lipsticks, and both hair products to try out – I am happy.

Didn’t receive a free gift from either one yet, but I don’t even care about that. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

V

That worked out perfectly. Good for you 😁! Love that Babyfacial and you got both Mac shades. Nice!

Jill M

So, I just clicked on the Sept 2017 Allure review and was surprised to see the Lala cream and Living Proof dry shampoo in that box! I came here to originally report that I wasn’t very impressed with the D.E. Baby Facial today. I used it and I have been getting so much better results with my Glam Glow supermud mask!

Now, I am not trying to start anything, and I usually wouldn’t think this about a sub company, but are they sending out the old items from last year in this months boxes because they ran out of the original products that were spoiled? If they are, that isn’t cool!! I got everything that was originally spoiled for this month, but if they are just giving out old products from over a year ago to new subs because they couldn’t handle the response, then I think that is wrong! Just my opinion.

In a recent email showing what I got in my Sept box, they included a link on how to apply the eyelashes in the box. Go to the website and search for it. I found it very useful since I’ve always had trouble putting them on too. Also, I read many comments about missing items, spillage, vs problems and other setbacks. I have to say, I’ve never experienced any of those problems from any of my subs! I’m just lucky I guess. I read everything carefully before subbing to make sure I understand everything.

I subscribed to this box on the 10th – and was charged for it, but still haven’t received my box yet. Is anyone else in this same position?

I went through Allure instead of Amazon. I’m sort of regretting this decision.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

I don’t want to discourage you, and I think it varies for every one, but it took me about a month to get my 1st box when I signed up. My 1st box was the Kat Von D takeover box a few months ago. I also didn’t get the shipping email until after I received the box! I have just resigned to the fact that my box will always get here, but I just never know when.

Reply ButtonReply

Redhed36

I ordered through allure and received mine today

Reply ButtonReply

KatyL

I subscribed to this for ONE product, the Baby Facial. On the Allure box page, it says you are getting that. There is NO mention of an alternate product! My box is on its way, and there’s gonna be hell to pay if that Baby Facial isn’t in the box!

Reply ButtonReply

V

I hope you get the baby facial too. You are right on the page it did not show any variants. I called and she sounded surprised when I asked about a variation for drunk elephant and she said there should not be one. I ordered mine late August but told them I did not want August and to start in September which they did. I was billed September 6th but in their system it was showing September 10th. My box just arrived today on the 22nd and I did receive the baby facial. I also received the Walnut scrub which I absolutely love. Good luck and I hope you get what you want.

Reply ButtonReply

Les

Ugh! I cancelled play because of the constant red lipsticks they sent every month and now Allure is doing it! This month was junk to me, the only thing i can use is the babyfacial really

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

I just subscribed a week ago. How long does it take to get the package? I never received a shipment email. Also, I hope for the Ruby App lipstick, I’ll swap the Lustering lipstick if nobody wants their Ruby Woo shade😉

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

I got Ruby Woo but wanted Lustering. Would be happy to swap with you.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

If you didntt swap yet please lmk. I got the lustering today

Ankita

I will swap with you!! I got Lustering but I have a darker complexion so it’s not the shade for me

Meg

*hope for the Ruby Woo lipstick. Stupid autocorrect.

Reply ButtonReply

Coco

I’m over Allure. I never wear red lipstick, so of course I got Ruby Woo. I have fine, thin, straight hair, so of course I got the IGK coconut oil gel instead of the Living Proof dry volume blast. I did get the Babyfacial, which is the only thing in this box I’ll use. If they’re going to do variations, how about letting subscribers have a color and product choice? Also, I’ve moved twice in the past couple of years, and they don’t honor my online change of address in their system. It takes repeated phone calls to have them mail the box to my new address. How hard should that be? This used to be a great box, but no longer, IMO.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

this address situation happened to me too. By the misdelivered 3rd box and endless phone calls, I cancelled. I just resubbed to get this DE product and have not received my box yet but am disappointed to see it’s a variant which means I prob got the other option. Cancelling again. Not worth this.

Reply ButtonReply

kitty

i feel the same way about getting to make some choices. they could come up with a simple rubric that would allow for better distribution of some of the products that are hair/skin tone dependent.
it would make the goodies more fun.

Reply ButtonReply

Oma

Box showed up today. Just received the shipping email to track it. 🙄😂 This box is the version I got.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

Received my box today. Got Ruby Woo, Tarte sweetheart lashes, TLC & IGK.
Box was missing lash glue 😞. Already emailed Allure about it.

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

Yep I received my box too on the 17th of September and I too received the Ruby Woo color, I’m not to crazy about the red shades but I’ll try it!!! The eye lash glue was missing out of my box too, how disappointing to get lashes and finally a box includes the glue and come to find it’s missing out of the box!! UGH!! I’m just so disappointed that I didn’t get the glue in my box, but that’s my luck, I’ve also emailed Allure and I hope I get a response from them, I just know recent interactions with Allure’s customer service were not to successful but we shall see what happens here with this missing glue.

Wendi

I wonder why I didn’t get this box,I got the nexxus box, hmmm

Reply ButtonReply

ChristinaT

I re-subbed like a week or so ago and received both the August box and September box yesterday. They definitely billed me for both, but I’m September. Weird! But I’m ok with it.

Jennifer Johnson

The Nexxus box was August I believe.

Christine

I have a long term subscription. Glad I got original spoilers. Did you subscribe in August?

Trisha

Just got my box today- Monday 17th, and I got the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial and RUBY WOO-yes!

Ruby Woo is the best all around red for a ton of complexion variations- you can also use it as a stain if you don’t want it’s full intensity for day time.

Loving my box!

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

Same here. It was a nice bit of news. Also got the IGK hair product. I got that in another box and I’m trying to figure out how to make it work with my long fin straight color-treated hair.

Any advice,anyone?

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

My hair is similar to yours (long, colored, straight, fine, but there’s lots of it) and I have tried a sample of this with no success. It just makes my hair kinda limp. 🤷‍♀️

Lisa

I ordered my Allure Box through Amazon on 11th and got the Sept box Saturday the 15th . Amazon rocks. I got MAC in Lustering , baby facial, coconut oil stuff, and eyelashes/glue.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I ordered through Amazon Tuesday and just got box. Same variant as posted here. I can not usually pull off any shade of pink but this looks really good on. This is my first MAC lipstick.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

MAC’s lipsticks are great.

Their eyeshadows are OK, but their mascaras are meh.

Reply ButtonReply

NikitaMarie

I really hope that I get the Rick Kid and the lippie in Lustering! I have the .5 oz Rick Kid and I absolutely love it! I put it in my daughter’s naturally curly hair at night, and braid it into 6-8 braids. In the morning, her curls are gorgeous! Usually, it is a tangled mess if left to its own devices. The gel has made all the difference in our routine!
And I just don’t like red lipstick!

Reply ButtonReply

michelle

Here’s hoping for the DE Babyfacial, it was the only thing in the box I was looking forward to..the rest are destined for a friend. Now seeing a variant is disappointing.

Reply ButtonReply

michelle

I have not received the September box yet. I finally have had the joy of Allure Beauty Box Customer Service. They sent me a tracking number last week and it didn’t even show shipping, sent them another one yesterday and now the tracking numbers shows heading to USPS on 10/3 for a box I got charged for on 9/14 I wish they would prioritize existing customers. This assures I probably won’t get the DE which is the one thing I wanted. I sent an email to cancel so they offered the 4 months for $10 so I took them up on it, but now my subscription shows cancelled. This is unreal how bad they are, I don’t understand.

Reply ButtonReply

akabela

same here but now it says it’s either the Babyfacial or lala whipped cream? this is unexpected turn of events – hope i don’t see the whipped cream in my box, that would suck !

Reply ButtonReply

michelle

I already have a DE lala, I got a mini kit of theirs a few months ago..wanted the babyfacial since it would be new…all the new stuff I want. 🙂

Pink5

I’ve tried the LaLa and I really like it.

Retinoids make me nervous because they irritate my skin.

Really hoping for the Ruby Woo.

Punkykiki

I didn’t know where to put this without the forum but it looks like a good time to jump in about lashes. I just want to know if you’re still wearing the magnetic lashes (and if so why or why not). Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

Hey Liz do you have a YouTube channel too?? I’m just wondering bcuz you asked if we wanted a tutorial on the lashes!! I’d love to see a tutorial on the lashes and how to clean and store them!! That color of lip stick you got is beautiful, I hope to get that one instead of the red one. I don’t wear red well. Thanks Liz.

Beccah

I just got an email from allure that I have been selected to be part of a free sampling program! They will send me beauty products to try for free as long as I review them! Anyone else?

Reply ButtonReply

Claire

Yes, I did, filled in the questionnaire and they said they would reply and let me know if I qualify. Still haven’t received notification.

Reply ButtonReply

kitty

i filled out the information, but it looks like i didn’t make the cut for samples. kinda bummed because i love trying stuff out (at home) before i commit to spending all my money.

Reply ButtonReply

Toni Marie

I received that email as well. I filled out a questionaire also. I hope that i get picked to try out free samples because i am always posting my subscription boxes on my facebook and Instagram accounts.

Reply ButtonReply

BB

I did this for a long time a couple of years ago, and it’s too much of a pain.

What’s funny is that I still get random products in plain mailers from Allure.com. All kinds of nice things not in our boxes. I totally can’t figure this company out after they changed the handling of our accounts. LOL.

Reply ButtonReply

StephKlos

I received that email too and got all the way to the terms of service. I read all of them and some things just kind of made me nervous (but it’s probably harmless) so I declined and didn’t move forward with it. I was interested, though. I work in healthcare and never consent to anything without reading all the agreements.

Reply ButtonReply

xunseenx

yes, i got one today. and have had one every week or so. not sure why you have to fill it out again and again? i did receive the la prairie caviar foundation sample a few people mentioned. i’ve used it a few times and keep it in my fridge so i can use every last drop! the product is expensive and worked amazingly for me. i think i’m going to splurge on it at some point since i’ve never had a foundation perform that well for my skin.

that’s the only sample i’ve been sent so far though. i think it’s kinda like other places that they are looking mostly for really young people. which is a shame since you don’t really start spending on expensive products consistenatly until the 30s and up. they should love us!!! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

I got one today, too.

I got a La Prairie foundation sample (4 colors) a while back from them. Haven’t tried it yet because I’m still treating for stress-induced eczema, and am very restricted in what I can use.

The full size retails for $195.

A week or so ago, I got one promising me a La Mer sample. I got halfway through the process, got frustrated and quit.

It should be noted you will have to wait at least 2 weeks before any sample you get selected for shows up.

Also, you have to go through the profile set up every time they e-mail you.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I was wondering about that. I also got the La Mer sample email, but I didn’t want to take the time to fill out the profile again (if I remember correctly, it’s pretty in depth and took ~10 minutes to fill out), so I was curious if I was already in the consideration pool to get it since I had already signed up a while ago, or if I had to “sign up” every time they email about a new product.

Luna

I got that too despite signing up for it a few months ago. I’ve already received Cle de Peau (or maybe it was La Prairie? I always get those two brands mixed up for some reason) foundation samples (they came in those blister packs, but were more than enough for one full face each), and the Nexxus shampoo & conditioner (same as the ones in a recent Allure box). The foundations just showed up, and I got an email from Allure letting me know the Nexxus were on their way. So far that’s it for me though.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

Same.

Susan

Yes! They have sent that to me almost every day. I actually did sign up the first time but they keep sending the email…. Kinda makes me wonder.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Still super happy with Allure. I’m paying $10 per box at the moment, so it feels like such a great deal compared with ipsy or Birchbox for the same price.
