Bezel Box Mini August 2018 Review
I received this monthly information card highlighting what I received and how to style the pieces. This month includes a matching necklace and earring set in a boho/western style. Let’s see them!
Turquoise Cluster Earrings
These earrings are studs with dangle teardrop shaped beads hanging off. The metal is gold-tone, but not much of it shows. I think the beads are made of plastic, so they’re really lightweight without looking cheap. They lay out in a pretty little fan when on a flat surface, but when I put them on, they bunch up a little. I don’t think this is avoidable, but it makes me a little crazy when I see them.
Turquoise Cluster Necklace
The matching necklace has several clusters of the turquoise bead fans. The thicker chain has a nice visual weight compared to the main part and there is an extender to adjust the length a bit. I’m a big fan of how Bezel Box jewelry almost always has finished backs. It feels nicer laying against my skin and looks better when the back peeks out. I like the collar effect, but again, the beads bunch up and don’t always form the pretty fan shape.
The Verdict: I never know what to expect when my Bezel Box Mini shows up. The styles vary widely from month to month. I do like the style this month but I just don’t love the way the jewelry lays on me. The quality and details, like the finished backs, step the pieces up from other costume jewelry that you’d purchase at this price point. I think $24.99 is a fair price for this box because I get two good quality (& nickel free) pieces of jewelry in styles that go from one end of the jewelry spectrum to another.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, if you sign up today, your first box will be the September box.
Value Breakdown: This box cost me $24.99, which means that each of the pieces has an average cost of about $12.50.
