BuddhiBox Yoga September 2018 Box Review
BuddhiBox always includes a card with a mantra or saying on it. On the reverse is this month's packing list. Notice that most of the products are cruelty-free, organic, vegan, or more than one!
Included this month is a really nice card that gives easy tips for balancing your own chakras. For whatever reason, I can never remember all the names of the chakras, let alone how to balance them, so this is really handy!
All the contents come in an 8.5"x11" linen cinch bag. Perfect for stashing your new goodies! I love the reminder stamped on this month's bag: "You've got to nourish to flourish!"
Chakra Mantra Card Set — Listed Retail Value $12.00 (Similar 3" cards found here)
First up is a set of beautiful, 4"x4", one-sided chakra cards illustrated by Kimi Bloom Digital Art. Each card shows the name and core meaning of each of the 7 chakras. There is also a mantra that corresponds to each which they suggest you recite daily. I personally feel a little unbalanced right now in my core chakra. "I am grounded, stable and secure. I am grounded, stable and secure...."
Good Juju LA - Organic Third Eye Essential Oil, 10ml — Retail Value $29.99, Listed Value $20.00
The scent of this prettily packaged roll-on oil is subdued and pleasant with notes of myrtle and bergamot. The wearer is encouraged to apply it between their eyebrows - on their third eye - to promote insight and reduce fears and anxiety. Floating in the oil are charged amethyst gemstones which are said to elevate the physical plane with the higher realm, among several other healing benefits. The oil glides on nicely. I would likely apply this before yoga, meditation, and/or bedtime to help me ease into a relaxed state.
Love and Lotus Naturals Sea Salt Mineral Bath Third Eye Chakra, 4oz – Listed Value $14.00
I'm a huge fan of baths so any excuse will do, including renewing my third eye chakra as this lovely blue salts say they do! Before I crawl into bed, I will definitely be soaking the day away with these deliciously scented bath salts.
BuddhiBox - Hamsa Necklace — Listed Value $28.00
Inside of the 3"(ish) royal blue jewelry bag comes a silver chain measuring 19" with a 2.5" extension option. I have seen the Hamsa hand before, but never really knew that it is a sign of protection that also represents blessings, power, and strength. I like the delicate filigree detail of the Hamsa, as well as the 3 crystals it is suspended from. I'm pretty set with my rotation of favorite jewelry pieces so this one will likely be gifted, but I have no doubt that its recipient will love it.
Raw Crystal Point – Listed Retail Value $6.00
As you can see, this raw crystal point fits perfectly in the palm of a hand--the perfect place for it to activate its healing powers! This 1.5" gemstone is a potent tool for energizing and manifesting.
Ganesha Mini Statue — Listed Retail Value $15.00
"Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha Sharanam Ganesha" is the mantra my first and beloved yoga instructor taught me several years ago to channel Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. This 1"(ish) statue will find its home on my meditation altar where I hope it will clear the path for peace and prosperity!
The Verdict: It was my second month reviewing BuddhiBox and I am once again pleased with the contents. I am especially excited about the bath salts and Ganesha. Using a combo of retail values and list prices where retail values weren't available, the contents of this box add up to an estimated total of $104.99. I think this box is a very good value for $39.95 a month ($34.95 plus $5 shipping).
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the October box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month's box.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.95 + $5 shipping, which means that each of the 6 items in the box has an average cost of $6.65.
