Cloth & Paper is a monthly stationery subscription box from lifestyle and stationery shop, Cloth & Paper.
In addition to the Stationery Subscription Box, Cloth & Paper offers a pens-and-pencils-focused subscription called “Penspiration,” a stationery box focused on stationery items and a box combining the two. With the Penspritation and Stationery Box subscription (which I’m reviewing today), you can expect 5-8 stationery items plus 4-6 pens!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
This review is of the Cloth & Paper Penspiration and Stationery, $48 a month, box.

Cloth & Paper August 2018 Review
Each box comes with a greeting card with a message from Cloth & Paper. This month we also got a vocabulary card introducing us to a new (new to me, at least) word: flawsome. I love how Cloth & Paper keeps me in-the-know.
I also received this card to test out all my new pens. While I think this only comes with the Penspiration subscription, I think every box that includes a new writing utensil should definitely include something to test write on.
Luxe Notebook
The first item in my subscription was this beautiful dusty rose pink notebook bound with gold screws.
This beautiful notebook measures at 8 ½ inches tall and 6 inches wide. It has 25 gold-lined plain white pages, not including the first and last pages which has a white and grey marble look.
Appointment Reminder Pad
The second item I received was an appointment reminder pad. It is a perfect square and measures at 4 ½ inches on each side. This 16-page notepad is printed on thick cardstock.
Open Header Sticky Notes
I just love sticky notes. But these sticky notes are lined and numbered --- a perfect sticky note for any to-do list! These stickies contain 25 sheets and measure 4 inches high by 3 inches wide.
Message / Call Back Pad
My box also contained another great pad! This one is the same size as the previous, a perfect square measuring at 4.5 inches on all sides. It also contains 16 pages and is printed on thick card stock. I really love both of these pads and can’t wait to use them, but I don’t want to waste all the pages!!
Black Metal Clip
Another favorite in my box is this large black metal clip. I work with files that are four to five hundred pages a file and can utilize this clip in every department; I hate that I just got one!
This clip holds a lot too! Although I didn’t test it on individual pages, I was able to clip together my message pad, appointment pad and sticky list pad and still could probably fit a little more into it. This clip was a big win for me.
Black Velvet Pen
The last item in the stationary side of my August subscription is this black velvet pen. The pen is retractable so there is no worry of losing a lid.
The pen is .05mm and writes in black gel ink. I liked the way the pen wrote and will be keeping it on my desk with some other favorites.
This next part of my review is of the Penspiration part of the subscription.
I received 5 superior pens this month!
KACO Luxe Pen
As soon as I opened my box, this was the first thing that caught my eye. A luxurious pen in its very own box!
This .05mm retractable pen features an aluminum red barrel, rollerball and is a black gel ink and wrote pretty smooth.
KACO Midot Pen
The next pen I got was this Kaco Midot pen. It has a smooth, velvety touch in a red barrel and is retractable.
This luxurious pen is .05mm and writes in black gel ink.
Zebra Sarasa Pen
This next pen was one of my favorites. A retractable .05mm Zebra Sarasa pen is featured in a maroon barrel and finger grip for a smooth write. The clip is ivory with gold lettering.
The best part of this pen was writing with it. It matched the barrel in a beautiful maroon. Definitely a favorite!!
KACO SKY Pen
When I got to this next pen, I didn’t know what to expect. I can honestly say I was hoping for a thick pen, or maybe a thin marker style pen, anything over 1.0mm. I was surprised when I opened it and discovered a .05mm pen, but not disappointed.
This ended up being yet another favorite black-inked pen in the box this month. It has black gel ink; the black appears blacker than the others. I even welcome the thick barrel!
Zebra Sarasa Pen
The final pen I received was another Zebra Sarasa pen – this time in pink gel ink!
I am a sucker for colored pens and pink is one of my two most favorite colors. This retractable pen is also .05mm and has a clip for storing.
Fun fact: All these pens are Japanese imports!
The final item I received in this month’s fantastic box was this clear pencil/pen pouch. It has a sliding piece to close and holds all of this month’s pens, maybe a couple more. It also features Cloth & Papers slogan: there is luxury in simplicity.
Verdict: As always, Cloth & Paper did not disappoint me and left me with many favorites. I work in a very busy office setting and feel this box is absolutely perfect for someone who sits behind a desk for a living. The items are genuinely luxurious and really gets me excited to use them. While these specific items were not available in the online store, there are many like products. I have also noticed that items sent in boxes are eventually featured in the store, so keep checking if you have a favorite!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but it looks like you have until the 16th to subscribe and get the September box.
