AdoraTherapy Mood Boost in Peaceful - Retail Value $30 (found on sale here for $15)
What really caught my eye when I first opened the box was this phrase on the side about being calm. I need a spray to keep me calm, as I have three children four and under and some days can get pretty wild! This spray is filled with essential oils that are meant to help boost your mood.
I love this packaging! The scent is really nice too; I mostly get notes of calendula and lavender with a little tart citrus from the lemon and bergamot. It's very pleasant and while I'm not sure it has made me calmer, it's nice to pretend it has magical abilities in those moments!
Bee Maternal Breastfeeding Deodorant, 1 oz – Retail Value $14.99
I have nursed all three of my children and am still nursing my youngest, so this deodorant is genius to me! A deodorant that is safe to wear and actually aids in milk production? This is almost better than chocolate chip lactation cookies! Plus it smells so good with just a very light citrus scent and another pleasant scent that I think might be the thistle in it?
Mine seems to have melted into the lid a bit but it's pretty creamy with just a slight grit to it, so I was able to apply it easily with my fingertips. While I can't speak to its milk production properties, I know that I feel more comfortable wearing it knowing that it's safer than some alternatives and keeping in mind that if I am having any production issues, this will be helping!
Visha Skincare Mommy Bright Eye Booster, 0.25 oz - Buy an o.5 oz. jar for $45
This sample is small at .25 oz, but I think that a little bit will definitely go a long way in this case, especially considering this is half of the full size. It felt very moisturizing on the skin around my eyes, but it was a tad greasy. Since I'm using it mainly at night I don't mind so much, especially if it really will improve my dark circles.
From Visha Skin Care:
"A multitasking booster that is 4 products in one
• Reduces overall eye puffiness
• Diminishes the appearance of dark circles
• Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
• Softens the look of smile lines and lines around lip area"
This sample came with a 20% off coupon and an informational sheet about their Mommy Skincare line. I love this! I am always concerned about what I put on and into my body while I am pregnant or nursing, so the discovery of a baby safe skin care line is great! Although, unfortunately, I don't think it's the most affordable line for me.
Itzy Ritzy Teething Happens Cube Necklace in Opal Blush – Retail Value $14.99
I actually have a couple of teething necklaces, but I don't have any quite like this one. I like this design and appreciate that it has just a few beads instead of beads all the way around like the ones I have. This way the beads don't get caught in your hair (I know from experience!) when the baby is pulling on them. They are made from non-toxic, BPA-free silicone that is safe for baby to chew on and features a breakaway clasp for safety.
This is a comfortable length and I like the nice bright pop of color. These are great to have for when you are out or if you like to wear your baby as they don't get lost since they are attached to you and can provide baby with some teething entertainment while you shop or do whatever else us momma's do!
Jack n' Jill Natural Toothpaste in Blackcurrant - Retail Value $6.99
I love natural baby products so I was happy to see this toothpaste in our box! I have never tried this toothpaste before, but I did just receive something from this Australian brand recently. This is fluoride-free and made with organic ingredients that are safe for your little ones and features calendula to help soothe their gums. While Bennett doesn't have a first tooth just yet, I figured I would just save this for later, until I noticed the expiration date of November 2018. Not great when you receive it in September. Fortunately, I have two other kids who can use this, but for some subscribers that might not be the case. Hopefully, the rest of their stock has a later date than ours!
Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Pouch - Listed Value $2.50 (Buy 10 for $14.72 here)
I am a big fan of pouches due to the convenience, lack of mess and the fact that I can sneak vegetables into my kids without them knowing! Bennett is just starting on solids, so I haven't introduced blends to him yet, but I will definitely be saving this to use when he is a bit bigger.
Verdict: This was my first time receiving the Ecocentric Mom box and I really enjoyed the mix of items for both mommy and baby. They included a lot of useful items as well as some that were great discoveries like the deodorant. I think it definitely catered to moms and focused on organic and natural products, which I am all about! While the natural and organic items were met, I'm not sure how much of an eco-friendly vibe I got from this box, but maybe the next one will focus more on that. As for value, I calculated a total of $90.94 which is awesome for a $32.99 box!
