My necklace arrived broken and the seal on the package of my coffee kit was broken as well. Even the bottom of the box for the coffee kit wasn’t sealed properly. Very disappointed.

They have excellent customer service. You should consider reaching out to them. I’ve always had a fast response.

Just got my box, and I’m thrilled.

Necklace- I got the onyx and gold. I was concerned that the necklace would be far too delicate for me, but it is substantial and perfect. Also, I know this was a concern when the necklace spoiler was first released, but mine has some lovely thin, wavy, white lines running through it. I just love it.

Body Wash- Love it. It smells amazing and is truly unisex. It’s not too overpowering either, which I was concerned about.

Planner- I still think it’s classy and lovely, but it isn’t as sturdy as I would like.

Pens- Beautiful! I will use these pens plenty. And I love gold, so these are just me.

Barette- Also very pretty. I think this might be too heavy for my very fine hair. It will make a nice gift for my little niece. I got the black and gold. It seems like they tried to coordinate with the necklaces.

Floss- It’s floss, but in a pretty container. I’ll use it for sure, and goes well with the curation.

Eye roller- I tried it out this morning, and I liked it. My eyes have been in need of something like this.

Coffee Kit- Have yet to try it, but I’m excited.

As usual, the curation is amazing and cohesive. The necklace, the main draw, is amazing and totally worth getting the box. The other items are all nice, and for those that I won’t use, they will make nice gifts.

Preface: I do not pay attention to retail values. I am aware they are inflated for marketing purposes like any business does. I buy what I like.

I received my box today. Here are my thoughts:

Planner: It was so flimsy The cover just slides off. No month at a glance which is which is my most used part of a planner. I will use the Bando one I got as an add on at PS. I am not sure what to do with this one.

Pens: Love them! Very classy and elegant! I handwrite my journals and I love pretty pens. The ink flows easily and they feel very comfortable in my hand.

Hair Barrette: LOVE! I wear my hair up around home and when I work out and I use barrettes. I got the black one and was glad since it coordinates with the necklace. I see no reason these could not be worn everywhere. They are not childish but edgy and sleek and elegant.

Shower Gel: My husband stole it but it is definitely no too girly or too masculine. But I had promised it to him so he got that (darn it)!

Eye Roller: Very Nice. It is perfect for my eyes which tend to get puffy and dark circles especially when I don’t drink enough water.

Necklace: I got the gold and onyx. The chain is so delicate and I expected a lobster claw clasp. But I LOVE it and have worn it and the barrette since the box got here today! It was a tough call between the onyx or the howlite but I am happy with my decision.

Coffee: My husband got that because I don’t drink coffee. It was only one serving but it was still a really nice addition.

Dental Floss: I ran out yesterday so this came just in time! And it is really cool in the container.

Curation: Superb in every way! It was all cohesive. I don’t know how Happy Rebel was able to find such a cool barrette to go with the necklace. All of the products went with the Morning Rituals vibe. There were also a lot of cool items in the box. The only product I did not care for was the planner.

Verdict: I am glad that I splurged on this box. I am excited to see what the winter theme will be. I hope we can skip months so I don’t have to always cancel and rejoin.

Great job, Happy Rebel 🙂

Okay, trying again since my comment from yesterday didn’t post. Thank goodness I’ve learned to save a copy of longer comments on here. 🙂

Got my box today and here’s what I think:

Necklace – This is why I wanted the box in the first place. I chose the silver & onyx and it is freakin’ gorgeous, but I’m terrified the chain is going to break. 🙁 This has got to be the thinnest necklace chain I’ve ever worn/seen/touched, my goodness. Not sure what to do about it, but the style of the chain and pendant are fabulous. Just need to figure out what to do about the tiny, fragile chain.

Planner – I need something a bit more beefy/sturdy, so this will be swapped.

Body Wash – Smells divine, will try this out tomorrow.

Barrette – Gold and black, will be swapped.

Floss – Such a cute, little fancy container. Everybody uses floss, so I’ll be keeping this.

Pens – Very fancy and write well. Not really a fan of gold, would have preferred rose gold, but I love pens, so they’ll do.

Coffee Kit – The kit only makes one 6-ounce serving. Who only drinks 6 oz of coffee? I don’t even have a cup that small or small enough to even fill it halfway. It sounded interesting, but I don’t want like a 1/3 a cup of coffee…will probably end up swapping this too.

Eye roller – I don’t need this, so I’ll be swapping this as well.

Overall, it seems like I’m swapping away 1/2 the box so I guess I’m not too thrilled, especially since something will have to be done to the necklace to make it less likely to break. Honestly, if the chain on the necklace wasn’t so freakishly delicate, I probably wouldn’t care so much and still love the box overall.

I love Happy Rebel, but this box kinda leaves me feeling sad. I do think that all the items went together nicely and the theme was great. Hopefully the Winter box is better for me. 🙂

Would anyone like to swap for my necklace? I chose the black and gold one – my box isn’t here yet, but I’ll swap the barette as well when it does (not sure which color yet). I’m looking for items from PSMH, FFF or Box of Style. Thanks!

I am interested! I can swap the leather Popsugar tray from the Fall 2018 box, if you are interested. My email is rebeccastar at gmail

Oh, and I’ll be swapping the roller as well.

Stephanie

I really like this box. I just got it. My hair doesn’t do well with barrettes but I do like it a lot in person but putting it up for swap. I like the planner but I thought the cover would be a little more durable but won’t stop me from using it. I’m looking Forward to trying the coffee. Already used the eye roller. Already put the floss on display. Another win of a happy rebel box for me. Never a disappointment.

I’m excited for this box. I don’t nitpick values for boxes. To me it’s about whether on the whole I think the value is worth the cost and whether so will enjoy the items. I don’t have time to shop for myself so I get value just from getting things I don’t have to search for. I will use and enjoy everything here.

Heather

If anyone doesn’t want their coffee kit, I’d love to swap for it! (link is in my name.) Thanks!

Meg

This is a solid box – I would use pretty much all of it. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s worth $100. This is often an issue for me when a jewelry item is so much of the value. I add up what I would spend on all of these items (if shopping) and I can’t get over $80. But this is for sure the most tempted I’ve ever been by a HRB.

Reply ButtonReply

Anne

I got my box today and I have to agree about the personal value of the items. The planner feels a little more flimsy than I was expecting and I wish that it had a month at a glance option as that’s the feature I use the most. The body wash smells great but I would never spend that price normally. I like the necklace and I’m excited to try the eye roller. Wish there was more than one sample of the coffee LOL The pens fit the theme but the barrette is a total miss for me.

I would love the gold howlite necklace. If anyone wants this quarter’s Popsugar leather tray in exchange for it, please email me: rebeccastar at gmail

I LOVE everything in this box, so glad I finally subscribed! Mine is due to arrive tomorrow. I hope the barrette matches the necklace stone color. I would have been happy with the mug, but I’m also happy with the coffee kit. I’m already wondering what the next box will be?

Jordan

I LOVE the barrette. Hoping I’m able to swap for it!

Reply ButtonReply

AmyM

I’ll be listing the barrette for swap once I receive my box and know what color I have.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

It’s available at Target for $8.

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

I tried to sign up right now but it’s sold out. Then I saw the Barette at target for 7.99. I really loved the Barette.

Misti

I looked up the costs of everything and I have to say I am not impressed with the Over inflated RV of most of the items .I saw that the barette is $7.99 at Target not bad really it is pretty the necklace is $70.00 and hand-made .I personally make jewelry and the necklace I could make for $15.00

AmyM

Oh wow!! This seems like the most items I’ve ever seen in a Happy Rebel box. I’m thrilled with everything but the barrette (Pixie cut for life) and possibly the pens, although I’m reserving judgement til I can try them. I’m a picky weirdo about how a pen feels in my hand. It’s really well-thought-out curation that fits the theme. Excited for it to arrive.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

It was a great theme and curation. I just love that we didn’t get another mug for our morning coffee (was totally expecting that), but instead got this coffee kit.

Reply ButtonReply

Kris

Does anyone know if I sign up if this will be my first box??

Reply ButtonReply

Natalya

Yes, this should be your 1st box since it is not sold out yet and you are signing up before 09/30

Reply ButtonReply

Natalya

I caved and signed up! I had Happy Rebel in my wish list for a long long time, but mone of previously spoiled boxes actually made me 100% convinced to sign up. This one though is screaming my name. I will use every single item in this box, which is very unusual. Cannot wait now to get it in my hands.

Reply ButtonReply

T.Marie

I will too and this box always pulls through with their eclectic items that you don’t get in PSMH or FFF. It feels like they put a lot of time into their boxes, and I appreciate that.

Reply ButtonReply

Lawden

Whoa, that body wash brand is super pricey! Wonder why it’s so much… hope it works amazing. If the Robin Rhodes necklace would’ve been one of her agate or druzy pieces I would’ve purchased this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

This is my first regular box (I bought a $50 mystery box earlier this year), although I have read the reviews on all their boxes, and I think other than the box that had the robe, this is their best one yet! It has quite a bit more than I expected! The only miss for me is the coffee, but I’m sure I can find someone that will like it.
I agree with the comment about no one really wearing barrettes anymore, but I wore them as a girl so they’re kind of nostalgic for me plus they really are beautiful and sophisticated-looking! I do wish the pens were PINS, like the ones used to hold your hair up/in a twist. I’m sure that would make too many hair accessories for most. Still, they’re gorgeous and would make a really nice gift. I’m super excited to get this box! Great job, Happy Rebel!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

I have over 50 hair sticks/pins, whatever you want to call them, and it’s never enough. I always want more. Sometimes I’ll just stick a pencil in there to hold up my hair. I always find great ones at craft fairs but I’ve seen some very cute ones on etsy.

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

I’ll have to check out Etsy for hair accessories. I never thought of looking for them there. Thanks for the tip!

Noelle

I’m in the process of growing my formerly spiked hair into a classic bob. I think the barrette will help play up the retro vibe.

Reply ButtonReply

T.Marie

I have short, messy red hair that I’m letting grow and the longest layers finally hit my neck. I agree, the barrette will be a fun, edgy piece for me.

Lauren

If your on the swap site I would love to try the coffee!

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

I have a swap account but haven’t listed anything yet. I have a ton of stuff I need to get rid of. It’s on the top of my to do list so keep an eye out. I’ll definitely put the coffee on there.

Amy

Wow! Expecting my box tomorrow, and beyond excited!!

Reply ButtonReply

Diane

The necklace and the pens look absolutely exquisite! The barette I’m not very enthusiastic about as no one really wears barettes anymore. The coffee thing is useless to me as my husband and i are not coffee drinkers–I don’t know what i’ll do with that. This is my first box and I am very excited!

Erica

I have a vintage style, and I wear barrettes, hair combs, and hair accessories frequently.
