Each box comes with a fold-out card detailing the items included:

You’ll also receive a $5 off coupon, which is good for beauty purchases in-store and online.

But this month it's a $10 coupon! Woo!

And just like Ipsy, with each box you’ll receive a new makeup bag:

This one is a larger drawstring bag with the text, "I don't sweat I sparkle."

It measures 13 by 14 inches, and is large enough to function as a shoe bag for travel, or a bag for wet/sweaty gym clothes, etc.

Now, on to the items!

Yuni Shower Sheet – Value $1.25

This ingredient-conscious shower wipe is great to store in your purse or gym bag for a post-workout refresh. The natural scent is refreshing, and the wipe is large (14 inches long.)

Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment - 5 ml Value $17.50

This is a lactic acid treatment designed to exfoliate dead skin cells, plumps fine lines, and evens out hyperpigmentation. The tube is completely full, so I had enough to sample this for a week, too. I *think* I could notice a difference in the eveness of my skintone, and I’m tempted to buy it in full-size. (FYI – I don’t love the smell, but it doesn’t linger.)

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant - 1 oz Value $15.88

This is over half the size of the full-size version! I'm not much of a perfume wearer, so this might be the right amount of fragrance for me. The scent is a bit powdery but subtle, and the deodorant lasted all day.

Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap – Peppermint - 2 oz Value $.85

This is an ingredient-conscious soap that works for just about any soap need: face, body, hair, food, dishes, laundry, mopping, and pets. And the peppermint scent is so refreshing!

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Super Strawberry - 1.2 g Value $7.40

I was initially delighted by this sample size, but then I twisted it and saw it only goes up about a centimeter. Not terrible, but a little deceptive. The formula is lovely, though. It provides a wash of color, plus shine and moisture with no stickiness. Here it is swatched:

Jimmy Choo Fever Eau de Parfum Spray - 1.2 ml Value $1.91

This is a floral fragrance with notes of Black Plum Nectar, Heliotrope, and Roasted Tonka Bean.

And this month we get a bonus fragrance sample for men:

Jimmy Choo Man Blue Eau de Toilette Spray - 2 ml Value $2.47

This fragrance has notes of Black Pepper, Clary Sage, Bergamot, Cypress, Leather, Grey Amber, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Vanilla Bean.

Verdict: This box has an estimated value of about $47.26 (not counting the makeup bag.) I think that's a great value for a $15 beauty box considering they including a $10 coupon this month, too! Plus most of the samples were good sizes.

To Wrap Up:

This is my 1st time trying the Macy’s box… i really liked the $10 coupon i used that to get a Mac lipstick that was on sale and only paid $1.19 for it. I like the bag and will use it. The deodorant i dont plan on using, i like.the subscription. But will decide if i should keep it or let it go onceni see the October spoilers. Im planning on switching subscriptions to see which subscription boxes work best for me.

Do u mind me asking what lipstick u got? I tried to purchase one as well and the coupon wouldn’t work. The lipstick was a even $10.00.

In order for the coupon to work the item has to be 10.01 hope that helps clear up confusion. Has to be over 10 and then you can use it. Also just found out that Macy’s carries NYX they have some of the best gel pencil eyeliners. They are 8.00 normally so on a month when we get a 5 dollar coupon that is what I will be doing is buying one of them and it will wind up costing me like 3.25 with tax and Macy’s has free shipping on all beauty items.

Lola

Macys has a Clinique GWP starting. A great way to use the $10 off.

I don’t know about on line but you have to choose on or the other in store.

I feel like the shower sheet, castile soap and perfumes were just filler. Come on, dr Bronners is a drugstore brand and the sample is worth less than a dollar, the shower sheet was worth 1.25 and I don’t think the perfume is worth anything considering I get a giant bag of perfume samples for free with any macys beauty purchase anyway. I really like macys but I feel like the values just aren’t there! Allure is 15 dollars a month and always sends at least a 90 dollar value and macys hasn’t exceeded 50 in all the months I have had it. They either need to lower the price or send out better stuff. The only reason I keep it is that it is hard to find boxes that don’t have different variations and I hate those boxes because I always end up getting the lowest value boxes with the worst stuff. I cancelled play because of that.

Really? How did you get the big bag of perfume samples? My last order I only got 1 perfume sample of course it was Chanel but still…

I really wanted August’s box but when i signed up only September was offered. I was hoping it would be as good as August but eh. we’ll see what next month holds and if i’ll keep the subscription. Wanted to try the it and origins from August.

Dr Bronner’s is the best. I use it for so many things- personal care is where it really shines because it doesn’t leave you with dry skin!

Loving that $10 off coupon, but alas I’m off the list for this box since I wanted to try other subs.

Looking forward to returning to it after the new year.

I can’t believe I am even considering buying that Donna Karan deodorant but that stuff is amazing!!! I wish it would show up on the swaps because I would swap generously for it.

Toni Marie

I dontnknow ifni was approved for the swap but i do have the deodorant and dont plan on using it.

Just a BTW… Castile soap is the type of liquid soap almost all hospitals have used for many many years. It is gentle, mild and purer than most other soaps and has a distinctive scent minus the Peppermint, LOL.

If anyone here has ever had to have a colonic irrigation, shall we say, before or after a procedure or surgery, the soap packet poured into the bag after the half liter or water was Castile soap, just not with Peppermint oil in it.

Lola

Trader Joes has a large bottle of Castille peppermint soap for a great price.

I received August’s bag, cancelled September’s bag because I didn’t like the spoilers and resubscribed for October’s bag. Hope October’s has some awesome items!

I smiled when I read the “I don’t swear, I sparkle” typo. 😉 Well, I sparkle sometimes too.

I would love to try out the Macy’s box, but I feel like the coupon is just not that valuable to me. Most months it is only $5 off and $10 minimum purchase, even with free shipping it’s not something I would use that often. I feel like this is more of a $10 box. If they dropped the price to $12 with a year subscription like allure does, then I would sign up.

The coupon is actually great. There are so many masks and ahava hand cream on the website is only $ 6 so you just pay the difference and tax. I used my 10 coupon for tonymoly eye cream. Cost me $2.66! I couldn’t get the 15% off and the coupon though.😢

Tolumi

You have to purchase something to get use of the coupon. I really don’t need to purchase things every month from Macy’s heck I haven’t purchased anything in 6 months. In the long run it’s even more money out of my pocket.

kim

@Drminniecooper

there is no minimum purchase to use the coupon other than you must spend $5.01 or $10.01 if you use it online.

This was my first bag. I loved it. The soap didn’t thrill me but everything else, especially the $10 coupon, thrilled me. I have fallen in love with the deodorant. I would never have tried it without this sample. Happy!

PS… I noticed the 15% off while online. Not sure if it is in the stores, too.

Grace J Mock

I just got my box today do you know if we can use the 10 off coupon with the 15% off they are offering right now?

Reply ButtonReply

Lola

I don’t know about on line but you have to choose on or the other in store.

Noelle L

I bought a Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deo this week…love it. Very gently scented. This is a pretty good box and the $10 off coupon makes it even better. Looks like Macy’s has 15% off in their beauty dept online today. fyi

Dayum that good genes has been going around. Birchbox, macy’s, allure next month 😅

LB

It really is, but I’m not complaining. I’m stocking up because it really seems to be helping to clear up my breakouts and make my skin look better. I haven’t found anything that works this well…and I probably never would have tried it if I didn’t get a sample so they got at least one new customer!

Brittany

i was so diappointed in this bag. well i loved the bag but the products were just boring to me! and one body sheet like come on we should have gotten 3 to 5 as a sample ans the castile soap is just weird! i wouldnt use something as a body wash that i would also use as a laundry soap?! this was my first month with them cause last month was suppose to be my first but their IT department messrd my whole account up and the manager was nice enough tp just send me a full size bottle of the UD all nighter spray cause last months looked amazing and just didnt care for this months. I hope next months they step it up!

Dr. Bronner’s is one of my fave body washes. You normally find it at places like Whole Foods. Nothing like natural products. The difference compared to synthetic ingredient soaps is night and day.

sara

I love the lavender scented Bronner’s and get it at Target!

Linda

Wow you all make me want to try that Castile thing…May worth the shot!

Reply ButtonReply

Lee

Dr. Bronner’s has a cult following for a reason. Do not knock it until you try it.

Reply ButtonReply

Robyn

Oh man do not knock Castile soap, it is amazing as a body wash, super gentle and effective . I buy gallons of it and put a 1/4 into a pump soap dispenser with water. Has worked for years for my young kiddos and me. Haven’t even needed body lotion for the most part since I’ve switched.

AMH

Dr. Bronner’s is awesome! 😍 It’s also a fabulous all purpose cleaner that smells wonderful!
