Shore Scents September 2018 Box Review
Here is the info sheet for the box. The front made me feel like I was getting a letter from a friend.
The back lists the scents, their descriptions, and their retail value.
Caramelized Praline Candle, 8 oz jar – Retail Value $12
I live in South Louisiana where pralines are taken very seriously. This caramelized praline soy candle smells like a hot, fresh version of the praline candy with notes of brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, pecan, and sea salt. I am half-tempted to buy about five of these candles and keep them as housewarming gifts because this would be perfect for just about every Louisiana home (or anyone who loves pralines)! This 8-ounce candle has a 40 hour burn time and the braided cotton wick burns clean.
Cinnamon Vanilla Candle, 8 oz jar – Retail Value $12
There may be a few weeks of summer left, but I am definitely in full-on fall mode. This soy candle is the perfect transitional autumn scent thanks to the notes of cinnamon, clove, and vanilla. Like the candle above, this 8-ounce candle has a 40 hour burn time and the braided cotton wick burns clean.
Sudlersville Blueberry Cobbler Candle, 8 oz tin – Retail Value $10
I don't really like blueberries and I have never been a fan of cobbler, but this blueberry cobbler soy candle smells so good I have to stop myself from licking the air. There is absolutely nothing artificial about this scent—if I closed my eyes I could really believe that someone was baking blueberry cobbler in the oven. This also has a 40 hour burn time with a clean-burning cotton wick.
Shore Scents also included an actual blueberry cobbler recipe, which I thought was a cute and thoughtful finishing touch to the box.
The Verdict: I am a candle addict, and these three Shore Scents candles are perfect additions to my collection. I have one in my living room, one in my bedroom, and one in my kitchen, and every time I walk by one I am greeted with the scent wafting towards me. When lit, the scent can fill the air pretty quickly. None of the scents smelled artificial to me, too—I can really tell that quality ingredients are going into the making of these candles. Based on this great first month, I am stoked for what October has to offer from Shore Scents.
