Trash Club by Divine Trash Vintage is a fashion subscription box that sends you a new vintage treasure each month. Run by two women out of Missoula, Montana, this awesomely irreverent styling service is the answer for people whose tastes aren't satisfied by more mainstream subscriptions. As they put it on their site:

If you want to be a badass with an unconventional vibe or a trendsetter that is constantly fielding “where did you get that???”, then you have come to right place!

Divine Trash Vintage Minimalist Pants & Earrings Review

It's that time again! Time to unwrap another treasure from what's quickly becoming one of my FAVORITE clothing subscriptions. Last month's look was SUPER over the top and unusual—not a home run, but not a total miss either. (It's more like a foul tip up the third baseline... Sorry, too baseball?) But the sheer glee of opening my bag and trying on a completely unexpected vintage piece was enough to leave me satisfied. What did I think this month? Let's run through the basics of the subscription, and then I'll do my little turn on the catwalk.

The Divine Trash Vintage "Trash Club" is a vintage clothing and accessories subscription that curates one new look (or sometimes two) every month based on your size and preferences. When you sign up, you'll complete their survey, where you'll share things like your sizing, height, weight, and gender identity, and your personal style. They have a little widget that you use to visually explain your sense of style—you're shown laydowns (like Polyvore boards) of different outfits, and you click to remove ones that don't fit your tastes. You can also share Pinterest boards and write in any other thoughts you might have. Divine Trash also sends an email shortly after each order arrives, asking for feedback to help them better narrow down your vibe.

In place of an info card, this subscription company sends you a retro matchbook in each package. I love this nod to old-school advertising. Plus, I'm no longer scrambling around trying to find matches for the candles around my house.

divine trash note

Arguably the best part of this subscription is that it's all super personalized. I get the feeling that the business is small, or at least much smaller than something like Stitch Fix, so you get thoughtful picks and lovely little notes like this one!

Also—"Apfel-esque"? GIRL, YES.

Apfel-esque Stud Earrings

These are the studs heralded by the handwritten note. HOW COOL! One of my hobbies is illustration, and I can't unsee cartoon pupils when I look at these quarter-sized metal beauties. They kind of match MY eyeballs, huh? I've got eyes on the SIDES of my head, as they say.

Long story short, I love 'em. Super unique, quirky, and head-turning in a way that feels really true to my personality.

BUT THEN LOOK AT THEEEEESE!

Black Cropped Wide-Leg Pants

Folks, I can't handle how much I love these pants. They're elastic-waist pants made of what I can only describe as windbreaker fabric, so 1) they have a fun 90s swish about them, and 2) they're supremely comfortable. This whole cropped, wide-leg silhouette is a big trend right now in mainstream fashion and one that I've been really into (I think it's particularly flattering on my body), so I'm stoked to get a pair of perfectly fitting pants that nail that whole aesthetic.

(Oh, and because I know you'll ask—the shoes are the Jacinta Bootie in Midnight Blue from Shoedazzle! I did a review of 'em back in November of last year. They are *chef's kiss*.)

I love that they sit right at that ideal spot for a high-waisted anything to sit. The elastic is rad, too. It's not tight nor too slouchy on me. Also, can we all take a second and applaud any and all clothing that comes complete with POCKETS?!

Another perk is that these swingy pants look great while dancing.

The Verdict: This month's Divine Trash Vintage assortment was a great example of everything I love most about the service. I feel like they "get" and curate pieces for the full spectrum of my style sensibilities, from the bold and statement-making to the more understated and versatile side of my personality. And while the silhouettes I've received have been unique to downright unusual, I can say that everything I've ever gotten from them is just the right size for me. What a total joy to see this package in the mail!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely subscribe, but what you get will be super unique, both because it's vintage and because it's picked specifically for your tastes! According to Divine Trash, Trash Club packages will ship within a week of your charge.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $30.00 with free US shipping, meaning these two pieces cost an average of $15.00 each.

I subscribed based on this post (which was awesome and d**m if you don’t look amazing) and I was NOT disappointed. I’m a big fashion weirdo and my body is three different sizes. My Trash Bag was absolute perfection. I’m so glad MySubscriptionAddiction looks for unique boxes, because I never would have known of this otherwise. I look forward to seeing what I get next month.

I had a lousy night & morning, but your review made me laugh out loud! Jazz hands! Chef’s kiss! Any piece of clothing that makes you feel this good is precious. And I do remember those great boots. Why didn’t they have choices like that when I could still wear them?! Rock it, Anna!

The earrings are neat. But, nope, culottes are never cool. I can almost hear you swishing as you walk, with that windbreaker fabric lol

If Anna likes them, which it is clear that she does, then they’re cool to her. Fashion is subjective. I think she looks great
