Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. Each month they include themed collectibles and shirts – they’ve moved towards a mostly exclusive model – so you can’t get most of these items/variants anywhere else. August’s theme was Mayhem.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Invaders theme features Venom, The X-Files, Alien, and Predator.

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Information Card Front 1

You’ll receive this information sheet – the front shows off all of the items from your box, while the back shows the mega crate and DLC details.

September 2-18 Loot Crate DLC

This month, we only receive one digital comic (typically, we've seen two) - but it looks awesome, Dark Horse + Predator is something that I'm excited for.

The box inverts into a little Loot Space Station.

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Facehugger Pin Top

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Facehugger Pin Open Top

Facehugger Pin - Value $5

This month's pin features one of the best creatures from the Alien universe - the Facehugger!

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Venom T-Shirt Front

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Venom T-Shirt Zoomed Front

Venom T-Shirt - Value $15?

I love the Venom character - I have a life-size Venom bust at home, so this month's shirt is speaking to me! Even if the movie stinks - if it means that I get more Venom stuff, then it's worth it!

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Walking Facehugger Figure With Box Front

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Walking Facehugger Figure With Box Back

Alien Walking Facehugger Figure - Value $20-25

They continue their Artist Series of figures with one from Joey Spiotto's Alien Next Door book.

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Walking Facehugger Figure Back

Like all Loot Crate figures, they come in a few pieces. Pop them together to construct the scene.

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Walking Facehugger Figure Side

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Alien Walking Facehugger Figure Zoomed Front

I love the Alien on its phone. I'm digging this figure - it's still on the cutesy side of figures, but not the almost Kawaii versions of figures we've seen in the past.

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Predator Jungle Camo Bandana Front 1

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Predator Jungle Camo Bandana Front 2

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - Predator Jungle Camo Bandana Corner Front

Camo Predator Bandana - Value $10

Predator + Camo is just a natural combination. While I don't really have a use for a bandana, I do think this is a fun Predator design.

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - X-Files I Want to Believe Notebook Front

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - X-Files I Want to Believe Notebook Front 1

Loot Crate Invaders September 2018 - X-Files I Want to Believe Notebook Back

X-Files I Want to Believe Notebook - Value $5-10?

The final item features Invaders of all kinds - it's The X-Files. You'll get this little notebook to take on the go and jot down your encounters with the Flukeman.

Verdict: This month, I'm into the shirt, figure, pin, and digital comic - so I'm coming out on top in terms of value. The final two items in the box were just alright for me - but it's rare that I like everything in a box. This box arrived probably about a week after I expected it - it's getting better for some lines, but they need to solidify across all of it soon!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, You’ll see the current them on the landing page – theme cutoffs are the 19th of each month at midnight EST.

COUPON – Save 10% off any length subscription, or $3 off month-to-month with coupon code ADDICTION or SAVE3

Eric, thanks for introducing me here to the Joey Spiotto book. I went straight to Amazon from this review, and ordered the book! The cover photo is cute-through-the-roof. “In space, no one can hear you clean.”
