September 2018 Marvel Gear + Goods 'THWIP' Review

This couldn't have arrived at a better time as I'm just finishing the Spider-Man PS4 game!

It arrives with an information card that details the items in your box. It doubles nicely as frameable art, too.

Thwip Pin - Value $10?

Naturally, it all starts with a large enamel Spider-Man pin - and it includes the theme name that refers to the sound of the web shooters.

Scarlet Spider Sleeveless Hoodie - Value $20-25?

This was my favorite item in the box - it's a hoodie model after the Scarlet Spider suit (check it on the information card picture!)

While it's not completely practical for me - it's just too fun not to love.

I have to admit - I did pop this on and play the game while dawning the Scarlet Spider suit!

Spider-Man Web Pack Cinch Bag - Value $15?

Looking for a new gym bag or backpack - how about a spider webbing bag?!

It's a fun design - but I think it's even a bit cooler because it goes well with the game - some side missions include finding old backpacks that Spider-Man has hidden across the city, all webbed up.

Secret Wars Phone Stand - Value $15-20?

The black suit gets some love with this collapsible phone stand.

It's a cool design - this is it broken down.

Spidey pokes out and acts as a stand.

Cool design - I love it!

Spider-Man Poster - Value $10-15?

Finally, the box ends with one of my favorite posters from a subscription box - the many suits of Spidey! I'm loving that 2099 gets a nod here.

Verdict: This was a blast from front to back! I have a soft spot in my heart for Spider-Man - I loved the animated series growing up, and before superhero movies were as big as they are now, the Spider-Man franchised started to pave the way. The practical and non-practical items were all a blast!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first theme will be displayed on the landing page.
