Mini Mystery Box Of Awesome September 2018 - Flexible Magnetic Flashlight Front

Flexible Magnetic Flashlight – Retail Value $11.99

The first item in my bag was this double flashlight with the ability to bend all sorts of ways thanks to its bendable steel wire.

Mini Mystery Box Of Awesome September 2018 - Flexible Magnetic Flashlight Side

Measuring at 36 inches, this double-ended flashlight can be wrapped around a tree, your arm, a bike or just about anything you can think of! Bonus! The ends of the flashlights also serve as magnets!

The only downside was one of the ends wasn’t working. Batteries are required and were included, 4 LR44 batteries on each side. I am not sure if maybe a battery is dead or there is something wrong with the light itself. Either way, it’s a pretty nifty tool and already exceeds the value of our subscription.

Fairy Lights (Multicolored) – Retail Value $3.50 (Found on sale here for $2.63)

The next item in this month’s subscription was a set of multicolored fairy lights.

The lights came wrapped pretty and in place but once unwrapped they were just everywhere and easy to tangle.

They require 3 AA batteries, which were not included and has an easy on/off switch on the battery pack.

We put batteries in them and hung them in the nursery over the babies crib. The colors are bright and pretty and went the entire length of her backdrop, almost 7 feet long.

Mini Mystery Box Of Awesome September 2018 - Corkscrew and Wine Bottle Opener Keychain Front

Mini Mystery Box Of Awesome September 2018 - Corkscrew and Wine Bottle Opener Keychain Open Top

Corkscrew & Wine Bottle Opener Keychain – Estimated Value $1.49

The last item I got in this month’s package was this corkscrew bottle wine opener keychain. With all the tools to open a bottle of relax, this keychain is perfect for those who desire wine or just a beer. I wasn't able to find this item online, but I did a price estimate based on similar pieces.

Verdict: This month’s box was definitely more awesome than last month’s; I was so relieved to open it and get genuine surprises vs the promo stuff we got. We got useful tools in the flashlight and wine opener and a fun item with the lights. I really liked this month’s subscription, especially because they are items I probably will need (the light and the bottle opener) but would probably never buy, and that’s what I am looking for with this subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can always sign up, but what you’ll get in your box is totally random!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $9.99 + free shipping, which means that each of the 3 items in the box has an average cost of $3.33.

Ugh!!!! When I first glanced at the the name of this box, I gasped because I thought it was a box of random miniature items. 😭😭😭 that would be amazing! If you take any item, and I mean any item at all and make it really large or especially really tiny, I’m officially obsessed! I would love to find a subscription box that focused on miniatures. Alas!

There is one, it is called SquintBox and you can find it on CrateJoy.

I wouldn’t leave the lights above the crib. It makes me super paranoid that they would come loose from the wall and baby would choke or wrap them around him/herself. 😕

This looks like a box for hoarders who don’t care what comes into their house.

I subbed to it for a few months and with the exception of 1 item, it was awful!!! Mostly useless stuff – work gloves in size XXXL – I don’t know anyone with hands that big. An Elvis bath puff…Multiple damaged or opened/used items that cs refused to do anything about. Cancelling was an absolute nightmare as well that took 2 months!

I subbed the larger version of this box for a month when it first came out. I think you pretty much nailed it. Just random stuff. Mustache piggy bank, random spa booties, lunch box, printed tape, etc. On a holiday LE they actually sent body bags to people. Not sleeping bags… like corpse body bags.

What??? Body bags? That’s awful. Why did they even have that many body bags? So weird.
