Organic Bunny Box October 2018 Review

Sarya Couture Eyeshadow in Mocha - Retail Value $22.78

Ok, so I love this eyeshadow! What I ended up doing was actually wearing it on my lid, over the pink rose quartz shade from last month (which I extended up to my brow) and it looked fantastic! This deep brown color has a good bit of pigment so you don't need much to make your eyes pop. The best part is that it's made with 100% natural ingredients and includes vitamin-rich shea butter and avocado oil which make it soft and smooth going on.

FitGlow Beauty Lumi Firm Highlighter Balm - Retail Value $39.00

Is it a powder? Is it a cream? It's a little of both! This highlighter is so creamy but soft that it's hard for me to tell what the texture is. One thing I DO know is that I love this! My go-to highlighter before this one was a balm like this and I just love it. This gives my face a nice glow wherever I pack it without being too glittery or over-the-top. My only complaint is that the jar is so tiny and with my long nails it's hard for me to get it out without a struggle.

Plaine Products Citrus Lavender Shampoo - Estimated Retail Value $4.69 (Buy a 16 oz bottle for $30.00)

I never expect shampoo to change my life and this one didn't but it does do a great job lather and cleansing my locks before hitting it with the matching conditioner. This also has a really pleasant scent and is the right size for travel.

Plaine Products Citrus Lavender Conditioner, 2.5 oz. - Estimated Retail Value $4.69 (Buy a 16 oz bottle for $30.00)

After shampooing- this one will make sure my hair doesn't end up a tangled mess. It's great to have these small sizes of all-natural hair care. My hair was shiny and soft after using so it gets an A in my book!

Lovely Organic Tropical Hard Candies, 5 oz. - Retail Value $4.99

I didn't expect to see candy in this box but especially since it's October, it is welcome. These individually wrapped hard candies are really tasty and come in three tropical flavors: lemon, pomegranate, and mango. YUM. These are a great little go-to when I want a sweet treat after lunch and contain no artificial ingredients. They're also vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO as well as sweetened with organic cane sugar. I think mango is my favorite!

Jade Lilly Skin Botanicals Travel Set - Listed Retail Value $30.00

This set seems to differ than the one pictured on their site, so I'm not sure if the retail value is the same. At any rate, this kit has four different products from Jade Lilly that you can use for travel or simply to try before diving into a full-size version. There's a face oil, body oil, papaya pineapple exfoliating face mask, and a cleansing grains exfoliating cleanser. Each of the powders contains enough product for several uses and the though the bottle for the oils  is even smaller, are sure to last quite a bit as well. I've been using the nourish facial oil and it has a nice subtle lavender scent. The neroli blossom body oil is also heavenly. This is a great into for anyone who's just starting to switch up their skincare to go natural!

Strawsome Pink Sapphire Glass Straw - Retail Value $8.95

This is awesome! Although it hasn't caught on totally throughout Pittsburgh, a lot of restaurants have stopped using plastic straws and of those, many of them don't have a non-plastic replacement. I'm not sure if I'm the type to carry a straw around with me to bust out when in need, but at the very least I can be using this baby at home when I make smoothies. There is something really soothing about drinking out of a glass straw that I really like. This is a surprise to get in what I thought was mostly a beauty box but I love this "lifestyle" addition.

Wren Natural Facial Cleansing Grains - Retail Value $25.00

I love dry masks, especially when they double as an exfoliator. This one uses kaolin clay along with colloidal oatmeal, rosehip powder, Moroccan lava clay, organic honey powder, and organic lavandin flower to cleanse the skin and leave it incredibly soft. The grit in this mixture is extremely fine and isn't harsh at all so it's nice and gentle on my face. Just a couple spoonfuls in my palm or a small dish mixed with water (or an unending list of things like coconut water, rose water, etc) gets this to a nice light paste that I can massage around my face and immediately rinse, or I can choose to make a thicker paste and leave on for 8-10 minutes for a mask. My only desire is that this smelled a little nicer, but it certainly isn't bad. Just a little boring. My skin feels hydrated and soft afterward!

Here are swatches for the highlighter and eyeshadow.

Verdict: This month's Organic Bunny Box was filled with all sorts of great items! I don't think there's anything I won't use but I especially liked the eyeshadow, cleansing grains, highlighter, and glass straw this month. All 8 clean products had a total of $140.10! For a $59.00 box, with free shipping, I'd say that's a pretty great deal. The brands and level of luxury delivered in this box are just phenomenal.

I’ve been looking into more organic products this is out of the price range. Looks good.

I’ve been subscribed off and on for the past few years to Organic Bunny, and I just thought I’d share that she does typically include at least one supplement or food item (including gum) and one non-beauty item… although sometimes it could be something like a hand soap which could be considered a beauty item? I think I also received a dish soap once, and earlier this year I received dog shampoo! haha! I used it on my cat who of course complained the whole time.

Oh! And I must say that I love the actual boxes too! I kept each one due to their size, sturdiness (yay for magnetic closures!), and of course the cute designs that are changed up every once in a while. 🙂
