Pink Seoul Plus Box September/October 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type, so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products included in this box.
Elizavecca Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Water Drop Cream, 50 ml - Retail Value $18.00
Alright, folks, hold on to your wallets—this moisturizer is that good. This is a lightweight moisturizer that melts into the skin almost instantly. A little goes a long way, leaving my skin hydrated, but not greasy. It is made with hyaluronic acid, aloe, and ginseng to both moisturize and soothe. This cream has taken priority over all of my other face creams, and I now use it every morning for soft, supple, and hydrated skin. Honestly, I think this almost an exact dupe (in both texture and performance) for Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream, which retails for $52 for the same amount of product.
Welcos Kwailnara Cereals Deep Cleanser in Mung Bean, 150g - Retail Value $8.00
This cleanser is designed to provide a deep cleanse. The mung bean extract detoxifies your pores while still being gentle. This formula had a light, fruity scent that reminded me of apple, and it was gentle, but effective. I am a fan!
Innisfree Broccoli Clearing Lotion, 130ml - Retail Value $18.00
This is made with broccoli extract and salicylic acid and is designed to calm irritated skin, help with blackheads, and control oil. I have to say, I have been using this consistently, and I am loving the results! My overall complexion is much more clear, and even when I had a hormonal breakout instead of big cystic pimples, I had two small pimples that cleared quickly. I cannot say enough good things about this product. It absorbs quickly, its non-greasy, and it layers well with the snail serum and moisturizer from this month’s box too! Honestly, there is only one complaint—the packaging! The bottle is hard plastic you can’t squeeze, and the product is too thick to come out on its own. The results are worth the banging against the counter every night, but I wish it dispensed in a different way.
Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Serum, 35ml - Retail Value $27.00
I’ve tried snail products, and I've tried bee products, but this is the first skincare product I've tried that combines the two. Along with snail secretions and bee venom, this has tea tree, aloe vera, and niacinamide. That is a powerhouse lineup of skin-loving ingredients! I have been using this in conjunction with the Innisfree clearing lotion, and I am really loving how my skin looks! It is lightweight and absorbs quickly, and while it does leave my skin a tad sticky, following with moisturizer fixes that!
Polatam Optimal Repairing Water Gel Mask – Retail Value $6.00
This mask is scentless and fits my face really well. I think talking about a well-fitting sheet mask sounds weird until you have the misfortune of trying an ill-fitting sheet mask. This was really hydrating, and I do think this is the first sheet mask I have used that has "oak tree sap essence" as an ingredient!
Tony Moly Fresh To Go Grape Sheet Mask – Retail Value $4.00
I have used this mask before, and I think it is a good, basic sheet mask. I found the mask to be a bit drippy, and the mask itself was very thin—to the point I was worried I was going to break the mask while I was unfolding it. The mask did fit my face well, and I felt like my skin was refreshed after using it.
Heimish Mineral Rich Lipstick
This lipstick is creamy and glided smoothly on my lips. While this isn’t the best color for my complexion, it was incredibly comfortable to wear. I couldn't find a reliable value for it online, though!
The Verdict: This was such a good box from PinkSeoul Plus box! The cleanser, moisturizer, clearing lotion, and serum are all being used in my everyday routine, and I really think my skin has improved. Getting full-size skincare is always fun, but this month felt extra special because my skin loved it all. This box promises a value of at least $80, and I calculated a value of $81 for everything except the lipstick.
