The 4th spoiler for the POPSUGAR Must Have Winter Box is this glamorous Sugar Kitten Palette from Winky Lux!

Along with some neutral shades, this one also has a few glitter-packed ones!

Since there's a little bit of both, we decided this was the perfect palette to do a Day-To-Night look! We had our fave makeup artist Brazil Raine come in and work her magic on me!

POPSUGAR Winter 2018 Winky Lux Sugar Kitten Palette Day-To-Night Tutorial

If you're looking for a wearable look for the office or weekend brunch, we've got a simple daytime look for you!

Brazil started with the pale pink "Cake Batter" all over my eyelids, from lashline to brows.

Next, she applied the deep reddish bronze "Cherry Pie" using a semi-fluffy brush on my lid and blended it into the crease.

Dipping back into "Cherry Pie" using a small smudge brush, she then added it to my lower lash line in lieu of eyeliner.

The dark reddish brown "Dark Chocolate" was used on the outside corner of my lids and blended into the crease ever so slightly.

Brazil then took the shimmery pink "Gummy Bear" shade and applied it lightly as a blush to the apples of my cheeks.

To finish the look, she used Colourpop Creme Gel Color in shade "Call Me" on my upper lash line, It Superhero Mascara, and NYX brow mascara in "Brunette" to fill in my brows.

Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in shade "Aquarius" was added as a subtle lip color to top it off. I'm definitely wearing makeup here but it's not over the top! So office-appropriate!

Next, we took the day look I already had on and used the palette further to pump up the drama for an evening out.

Brazil took a semi-fluffy wet brush (with Skindinavia setting spray) to the "Cherry Pie" shade again and dabbed it on outside corner of my eye, blending it into the crease and mid-eyelid. I LOVE the way this looks already!

The glitzy purple "Sprinkles" that is the most daunting of the palette? That went on the inner corner of my eyes into the mid-eyelid. The ombre effect here is so fun!

She did a double-dose of "Dark Chocolate" smudged into my lower lash line (over "Cherry Pie from my "day" look) and lightly blended it into the outer crease.

A little more "Gummy Bear" was applied more boldly, again as a blush. This needed to be bumped up to match the heavier eye makeup.

The "Sugar Cookie" shade that was used in the day look on my lids was now applied above the blush and blended into my temples, on the bridge of my nose, and on my cupid's bow as a highlighter!

Going over the new shadow colors, Brazil used the Colourpop Creme Gel Color in shade "Call Me" once again, along with It Super Hero Mascara and filled in my eyebrows with Smashbox Brow Tech Matte Pencil in "Taupe".

For the lip color (that I am loving, by the way), she used Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in shade "Grim".

Such a great night look for Fall! A little spooky, but not too costumey!

What I Learned: The glittery shades of this palette didn't want to stick as well until Brazil used a wet brush which made all the difference! I've never done that before so it's a new trick I'm eager to use. You can just spray your brush with setting spray before dipping into the color you want to pack on. Per usual, it's also good to remember you can repurpose these shades for blush and highlighter instead of just using on your eyes. Lastly, you don't have to remove your daytime makeup if you're short on time- you can just pump up the color and go darker before heading out. Reapplying liner and mascara is also a good idea, especially after adjusting your eyeshadow.

Super helpful! That’s why I’m obsessed with Deck of Scarlet, I need step by steps for palettes as I’d never think of the ombre effect on my own.

Excellent tutorial! I love the idea of taking the same look from day to night. And realizing it can function as a multitasking palette makes it more appealing.
