Pub Shirt Club October 2018 Review
Each month, Pub Shirt Club sends a new custom shirt from a pub in Ireland. This month features The Old Thatch.

The Old Thatch is the oldest thatched pub in Ireland - here's a bit more about the pub itself from Pub Shirt Club:
This is the oldest thatched pub in Ireland and has been in operation since 1650. The Old Thatch is one of a few original thatched buildings left in the country, and has been lovingly maintained and restored over the years. If a thatched roof needs repair you simply thatch over the existing roof, and this typically needs to be done every 4-5 years. That’s a lot of thatch!
The pub sits on the edge of the Glenbower Woods on the bank of the Dissour River. New owners Brian Barry and Deborah Walsh have taken care to make modern improvements while keeping alive the pub’s older traditions and charm. Inside, original stone walls are adorned with quirky mementos from the past. Every object has a story to tell, and you are sure to discover some interesting facts if you snuggle up to the bar for a drink. The newly built beer garden is the perfect place to enjoy a pint in the sun with friends while listening to the river rush by. The Old Thatch is a perfect blend of old meets new, with delicious food, a great selection of drinks, and plenty of history to keep you entertained.
"Thatched" is referring to the actual building's roof - it's an old, traditional, roof style in Ireland.
The print shows off the thatched roof, as well. My big issues this month was that my print was very off-centered!
The Verdict: For the higher cost, I'm pretty much expecting the details of the shirt to be perfect, and this month they missed that mark for me. The shirts are very comfortable - and I'll probably wear this one around the house - but the crooked print is a big downer for me.
