November 2018 BuddhiBox Essential Oils Box Review
BuddhiBox always includes a card with a mantra or saying on it. On the reverse is this month's packing list. Most of the products they include are cruelty-free, organic, vegan, or more than one!
The Dreaming Yogi Meditation Access — Listed Retail Value $10.00
Included this month is a small card with a link to a mental spa meditation led by Meli, the Dreaming Yogi. The mediation is just shy of 7 minutes long, so it provides a perfect opportunity to sneak away from life and refresh your mind, body, and spirit.
Mystical Blossoms Namaste Sexy Tea —Listed Value $15.00, Buy 12 single serve tea bags for $8.00
I was happy to see a tea sample in this box. It is getting so chilly and nothing is better on a frost covered morning than a fresh herbal tea. Included, was a reusable muslin bag for brewing. I put a few spoonfuls into the bag and tossed it into my favorite thermos for a treat I enjoyed all morning. You could absolutely add sugar or honey to this tea, but I enjoyed it as is. It has really lovely notes of hibiscus and citrus. The back label suggests it would also be amazing iced. This bag contained enough for 6-8 servings.
Harmony Reiki Votive Candle — Retail Value $1.95, Listed Value $6.00
If you have been reading up on my reviews, you know I can be rather picky regarding scents. Reading the description of the candle made it sound like this could be a winner. Who wouldn't love a combination of lemon, cedar, heather, and ocean? Sadly as soon as I opened the box I knew it was not a match. This candle smells like berries. I actually couldn't pinpoint any other smell other than a pure mixed berry. It might just be that the specific mixture of the mentioned scents just smells like this, but I was kind of disappointed as I much prefer earthy or pure oil smells. Regardless I do not doubt at all the quality of this candle and I will be passing it on as a gift to someone who might appreciate the fragrance more.
Halsa Essentials Mindful Meditation Essential Oil Roll-on, 10ml –Retail Value $14.95, Listed Value $15.00
I love when I get a travel-friendly roll-on in any box because it is just so very convenient! This blend scent is super sharp but in a good way. It has a foundation of frankincense and wood, a middle of ylang-ylang, and a spicy top note of mandarin. The citrus is what hits your nose first and then the fragrance mellows down to something more earthy. I can absolutely see how this blend would be beneficial to a meditation practice.
Leopardskin Jasper, Milky Quartz, and Unakite. – Listed Retail Value $12.00
The stones offered in this month's box are very interesting and actually includes one of my favorites. Starting from the top we have Leopardskin Jasper, Milky Quartz, and finally Unakite (also in the Jasper family). Leopardskin Jasper is one of my favorite stones to collect because each piece is like a little work of art. Jasper, in general, is a really earthy stone. Seek it out when you need to feel grounded or draw on a little extra boost of strength. Milky Quartz, just like its clear counterpart is useful for healing. The milkiness of this variety is said to be purifying.
The Verdict: BuddhiBox Essential Oil Box delivered a really solid essential oil roller, tea, and stones that were beautiful. The candle was a miss for me, but I know next month the scent might be more of my liking. Using a combo of retail values and list prices where retail values weren't available, the contents of this box add up to an estimated total of $53.90, which is really fantastic for the $16.95 a month plus free shipping cost.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the December box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month's box.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $16.95 + free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $3.39.
