Is she actually wearing the palette in her picture? The colors don’t seem to be the same, so I am guessing not?

The shades of the palette itself are gorgeous – but a bit too dark/bold for what I wear. I’d probably wear the highlighter as a blush and the cheek color as an eyeshadow. But I have so many palettes now I really don’t need more, lol. I do really like that they gave the spoilers so early on, though! While I don’t think getting lots of random palettes would work for me, I do like how comprehensive the Deck of Scarlet palettes are and might wait for just the right one to grab as a travel palette.

I am so tired of pictures with false lashes. I get that a lot of people wear them but don’t try to sell me on mascara and eye shadow if you aren’t going to show me what they look like without lashes and photo shopping the picture. That’s a skinny arm on the her right and doesn’t match the left.

My intent is to always treat others the way I’d like to be treated, such as differences in choice of what works for one’s skin, complexion, body, etc. So, I do appreciate that normally this is a safe place to express my opinion, and I always try to be clear that I’m only expressing what works just for me. That being said, I just cannot get on board with the yellow, mint, turquoise, orange, and hot pink matte shades. I just can’t pull it off. That Laura Lee palette that was sent in another subscription box is a perfect example of what I just can’t make work. I’m really enjoying the new Kevyn Aucoin Nude Pop palette. That’s more up my alley, I guess. The key words that I read into the description are: “self-taught”.

While I did subscribe when they first started for–I think it was three palettes (every other month, IIRC)–it started to get a little too bizarre for me, so I cancelled and never have been tempted to re-activate. While a good tipple of Limoncello at my favorite Italian restaurants after dinner might be nice, I’ll pass on it as an eye shadow inspiration. If you like the color curation, though, I did find the products to be of an acceptable quality and a good deal for the price. It’s just the color combinations that are a “no go” for me.

I’ve been watching this sub for a while. I absolutely love the idea. However, every palette Seems to be made for the collaboration artists most glam’d look and not really usable for every day looks at least not for 43-year-old me. The minute they put out an actual usable pallet I will be on there so fast

That’s what she considers a highlight shade?

I actually really loved the ones I got (was with them for about a year) and one of the palettes is my absolute go to and I think is very good. I just got palette overload 🙂 Once I have worked through the ones I have I will come back I think.

I tried this for 2 months. The colors are nice but once you apply it doesn’t really last. Plus I think it’s a little overpriced for $29.99 a month.
