About This Box:

The Box: Glossybox Limited Edition AMOREPACIFIC Box

The Cost: $35 ($30 for subscribers. Subscribers must use the link in their email to get this discount)

The Products:

  • Sulwhasoo Activating Mask
  • LANEIGE Moisturizing Foam Cleanser
  • LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask
  • Mamonde Clay Mask
  • AMOREPACIFIC Vintage Single Extract Essence
  • IOPE’s Derma Gentle Cica Creme
  • AMOREPACIFIC Essential Crème Fluid

I think it might be helpful for me to describe my skin type before we dive into the amazing products in this box. I have fair and dry skin that rarely breaks out. My main concerns when choosing a skin product are that it adds hydration, helps with pore size reduction, and has anti-aging properties. I value effective treatments over brand names or over the top packaging, and I am currently obsessed with Korean skincare, which makes me especially excited about this limited edition box. Now, on to the items!

Glossybox Amore Pacific Sheet Mask Glossybox Amore Pacific Sheet Mask Info

Sulwhasoo Activating Mask- Estimated Value $12.00 (Buy 5 Masks for $60.00)

This mask was high quality and straightforward. Sometimes you don't need the bells and whistles! It has a herbal scent that I liked and left my skin feeling hydrated and bouncy. The fiber mask fit my face better than some others I have tried recently. I would absolutely consider adding this to my sheet mask rotation.

Glossybox Amore Pacific Laneige Face Wash Glossybox Amore Pacific Laneige Face Wash Info

LANEIGE Moisturizing Foam Cleanser, 6 fl oz. - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $23.00

I really thought this cleanser felt so luxurious. It lathered up beautifully and left my face makeup free and soft. I have been using a silicone scrubbing brush in my facewash routine over the last month and this product worked well with it. I appreciate how clean my face felt after using and was pleased that for such an effective cleanser it did not strip my skin or leave it feeling dry. It has a beautiful light scent that reminded me of something in a memory that I can't quite place.

LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask, 0.3 fl oz. - Estimated Value $2.78 (Buy 2.7 fl. oz. for $25.00)

As someone with skin that only gets drier as fall turns to winter, I am always appreciative of a sleeping mask. This is a little lighter than I prefer (I get so dry in the winter I have honestly considered rubbing a stick of butter on my face), but if your skin isn't SUPER dry you will love this! It is a clear-ish gel that smells really fresh. It might be a product I revisit in the summer when my skin is less needy for moisture.

Mamonde Pore Clean Clay Mask, 0.84 fl oz. – Estimated Value $6.21 (Buy 3.38 oz for $25.00)

This was basically a botanical dream mask. It smells of fresh green leaves and flowers. It is a very heavy clay mask that is a beautiful pale green color. This super thick formula has some grit to it, but I personally resisted the urge to use it as an exfoliant. I find clay masks really useful for cleaning out my pores, but they can be drying for my skin. I solved that problem by following this mask with the Sulwhasoo Activating Sheet Mask that also came in this box. It was a two mask night. I am boujee!

Glossybox Amore Pacific Essense

Glossybox Amore Pacific Essense Box Back Info

AMOREPACIFIC Vintage Single Extract Essence, 0.16 fl oz. – Estimated Value $5.73 (Buy 4.05 fl.oz. for $145.00)

This was the most intriguing item in the box for me. This little vial is filled with a brandy colored liquid that has little to no scent. It is mainly comprised of fermented tea leaves grown in the AMOREPACIFIC gardens. The liquid is then buried in the ground for an additional 50 days. That is crazy! The production of this product is as fascinating as the product itself. I thought it was a toner, but it is actually meant to be used after your favorite toner and before your moisturizer. I applied it with a cotton round and though I didn't notice an immediate difference, I am a firm believer in green tea and I know anti-aging products can take some time to really kick in. I am so here for this!

Glossybox Amore Pacific Cica Cream Glossybox Amore Pacific Cica Cream back

IOPE Germa Gentle Cica Cream, 1.69 fl. oz. - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $32.00

I like this cream already. It is scent free, light, and works well under my foundation as a lazy girl's primer. It also boasts ingredients that help with skin roughness, which I find incredibly attractive since my skin has a little texture that I would like to smooth out. It is 10-free, meaning it lacks a ton of the harmful ingredients found in so many other creams. The texture of this cream reminded me very much of Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentraté which I adore.

Glossybox Amore Pacific Creme Fluid with box Glossybox Amore Pacific Creme Fluid Glossybox Amore Pacific Creme Fluid Box Info

AMOREPACIFIC The Essential Creme Fluid, 1.01 fl oz. - Estimated Value $32.99 (Buy 3.0 fl. oz. for $98.00)

I had heard major hype about this product and as a green tea lover, I was so thrilled to find it in this box. It has the strangest texture! It is super fluid but feels like a heavy cream as you rub it in. The closest description I can give is that it feels like a formula that has sunscreen in it, though this one does not. I personally like it! It also has a slightly sweet matcha smell that I can't get enough of. It also worked well under my makeup and left my skin feeling great.

Verdict: This Limited Edition GlossyBox has a value of about $115! That's amazing for a $35 beauty box! If you are into no-frills high-quality Korean skincare that is great for your skin, this box is a must-have! I am literally so excited to use these products over the next few weeks and see my skin the happiest it has ever been during a cold season.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Thanks for the great review, Megan! And thanks for the $10 off code, Liz!

Just ordered this and I’m so excited to try everything. 🙂

Did anyone else get 2 of the sheet masks? Or did I just get really lucky?? $12 a pop, that’s kind of pricey for a sheet mask lol!

I just found out this box exists, from a random ipsy comment thread. Soooo happy I did!! I purchased one and depending on how much I like the fluid cream and the wash, I may have to buy another! I cannot believe this isnt sold out!!

How this box is not sold out puzzles me. I ordered one … tried all of the items and ordered 2 more. Now, debating on ordering another one 😛
Most gentle face wash, Amore Pacific (both items) gorgeous and work so well. IOPE cream so good for winter. Yes, I just convinced myself – box # 4 on my way 🙂

Oh my gosh, I’m so happy I saw your post from the 3 most recent posts section, because I just finished wrapping all of my Christmas presents yesterday (woo-hoo!), and your post reminded me that I had gotten this for my mom as a Christmas present since she loves all Amore Pacific brands and I never wrapped it & completely forgot about it! Without reading your comment I think it would have just sat undiscovered for months! Haha!

nika

Ha! I am sure she will be HAPPY! I handed one to my best friend today … and went online to order one for myself (have a backup of 3 boxes). Both of the amore pacific items are lovely!

Shaunna

Mamonde Pore Clean Clay Mask is my absolute favorite mask!! It doesnt dry me out at all (i moisturize after!) and i absolutely love it!

This is a really nice box. Unfortunately for me though, the AMOREPACIFIC Vintage Single Extract Essence caused little bumps all over my face both times I tried to use it. I received it in a Sephora Play All Star Box. Since then I’ve been afraid to use any of their other products. Has anyone else had a similar experience with it? I want to pass it on to my mom but I don’t want her to break out from it. It’s a 1oz sample so I don’t want to waste it.

Mik

I just don’t think that “essences” work for me. I also received fine bumps from a skin essence of a different brand. So, maybe it’s what’s in skin essences (sometimes fermented yeast, rice, algae, etc.) that cause the reaction…not the brand itself. I took a risk and ordered the box anyway. The skin essence sample is super small, so not a big loss.

Megan K.

That is such a bummer V! I haven’t experienced anything negative yet myself, but I also have skin that is super tolerant to abuse and experimentation. I wonder if she just sampled it in a small spot on her face first as a test?

Reply ButtonReply

V

Thanks for the tip Megan. It’s worth a try, and definitely beats a full face break out.

Tanya M

I am buying this just for the essence since I love SK-II.. I must try this.. SOLD Megan… everything else is a gift.

Tiffany

The essence is not SK-II, it is amorepacific

If you’re looking for a heavy sleeping mask that actually does something for dry skin try the new one from Belief. You won’t be disappointed!
I love that essence from Amore. I think it retails for $159 something crazy like that. I cup it in my hands and press it to my face. I’m not wasting one drop on a cotton pad! It’s liquid gold. One of the only things I like by Amore that has zero fragrance.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I will absolutely try and get my hands on a sample of that. I am ALWAYS on the lookout for something super heavy to sleep in. How is the scent?

Reply ButtonReply

JennR

It’s a very light herbal scent. If you’ve ever used Belif’s Aqua Bomb or Moisturizing Bomb, it’s similar in smell. I’m a dry skin sister, too, and I’ve really been happy with everything I’ve tried from Belif.

JennR

I agree with you about the Belif sleeping mask. I just got a sample size and am loving it!

Thanks for the detailed review. As a person with dry skin I appreciate a review from your prospective. I agree with you about the sleeping mask not being hydrating enough for very dry skin in the colder and drier months. Other than the sleeping mask, I loved this box too.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

You are most welcome! Dry skin can be a struggle for sure. There needs to be a Dry Skin Edition box someday full of amazing things for us. I would buy like 6 of them.

Reply ButtonReply

JennR

Great review! I really appreciate that you took time to talk about your experience with each product…that is very helpful to us readers! Also, this looks like a great sampler for skincare junkies like me.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I appreciate the kind words Jenn! I think it’s important to test everything before I give you an opinion. Good skincare isn’t cheap so we do our best to give you as much info as possible! If you are already into Korean skincare you will love this box, and if you aren’t yet, this might be the thing that gets you addicted! 😀

Anna

It sounds like I have similar skin to yours so I really appreciate the review. This looks like a great box for me. Are there any other products you have found that work wonders for your skin?

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

Dry Skin Friends Unite! I rely on Lush’s Skin Drink if I start getting scaly around my nose and brows and I have recently been sleeping in the Origin’s Drink Up Intensive Sleep Mask between samples from boxes. I really love the Lush product but only at night, as it has a ton of sesame oil and can be too shiny to wear under makeup. It also works wonders on eczema. The Origin’s mask is INCREDIBLE and smells amazing.

I purchased this as soon as I saw the full spoilers. Just received it last week and omg they should make more boxes like these for us more often with this much effort. I paid 25$ due to glossydots and the coupon so this really made me feel like I got my $ worth as soon as I opened it. All these brands are amazing and I’ve used before so I jumped at this opportunity

Megan K.

I felt like I hit the lottery when I opened this box too, Angie! I hope you enjoy the products as much as I have been! Do you have a favorite so far?

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

This looks awesome! I love Laneige and can’t wait to try out the rest. I’m trying to load up on great skincare as it starts to get dry here. Last year I finally wrangled my dry skin into something normal and I’m determined to do the same this winter!

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

It’s a struggle for me each year! I feel lucky that my skin is well behaved for at least half the year though. What did you try that you loved last year?

Reply ButtonReply

Emilia

I love this box. I only wish the biggest item was the essence, not cleanser…

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I know! Reading about how they make it made it even more valuable and intriguing to me. Maybe next time!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Yeah right the essence alone is $150 for a full-size!

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

We can dream, right?

Julie

It should have been called a laneige box! That’s where the two full size products are! Minus the misleading name this is a great box!

Reply ButtonReply

Nanners

AmorePacific is the parent brand of all the brands included in the box.

Julie

Ooh didn’t know that. Thank you!
