The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod – Retail Value $19.95 (found here for $17.17)
I knocked this short book out in a few hours and really loved the advice. I am not a morning person, I love to sleep in, and the way that Hal put that into perspective for me (e.g. What am I waiting for? Why can't I get out of bed? Why am I not living my life?) really changed my mindset. The advice in simple and digestible, and after only a few days of doing what he recommends (waking up early to meditate, exercise, and focus on self-care) I am noticing a difference in the way I feel and my energy throughout the day. I no longer feel like I'm just going through the motions, I'm finding more balance and focus. I, like many of you, am a wife, mother, and work full time – I always have trouble finding time later in the day and I never thought that I could be the person that would wake up early and exercise. I committed to trying it for this review for a week – and dreaded it - but after a few days, I now look forward to my morning routine, and even started a bedtime meditation!

Go Love Yourself always includes an unofficial workbook, and I really like this spiral bound version. This workbook is full of journaling prompts to help you be more mindful about taking the practices from the book of the month and actually implementing them into your life.
Alarm Clock – Retail Value $17.99
I think it’s fun that they included an “old school” alarm clock in the curation of this morning box – the whole point of it is to wake up early, and who can do (at least at the beginning) without an alarm clock? This one is battery operated and has no lights. It’s easy to set, but to be honest, I find the alarm itself a little jarring and I wish that the batteries were included. I typically use my phone to wake up and have a soothing alarm sound, so I probably will give this item away to my toddler who thinks it's pretty nifty!
A-Town Coffee Signature Roast Ground Coffee – Retail Value $6.60
A-Town Coffee is roasted in Anchorage, Alaska and uses 100% fair trade Arabica beans, evenly roasted with grass-fed ghee butter to eliminate the bitter aftertaste, provide healthy fats and vitamins A, D, and E, and deliver a non-chemical source of increased energy while empowering mental clarity and optimizing digestion.
I was surprisingly happy with this coffee. I thought it was rich and delicious, agreed with the claim that there was no bitter aftertaste, and quickly downed both my first and second cup requiring me to make another batch.
Go Love Yourself Mug – Retail Value $17.99
Of course! A mug to go with the coffee…This GLY branded mug is a 16 oz. insulated tumbler that features a twist-on, slide-lock lid to prevent spills on the go. It’s hand wash recommended (although I think we all know I’ll be trying my hand at tossing it in the dishwasher!) I think this is a nice curation, but to be honest I think that the listed value is pretty high and I don’t know that the quality is there, it feels like your standard promotional coffee tumbler.
Face Serum by ALCHEMYbyAmandaLane – Retail Value $20.00
Ingredients: Baobab oil*, Apricot oil*, Black Current Oil, Meadow Foam oil*, Rose Hip oil*, Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Natural Vitamin E, Sensique Goji Berry Scented Botanical Extract (*organic)
This multi-purpose, ingredient-conscious face treatment is loaded with anti-oxidants and vitamins. It’s handmade by a mother & daughter team and sold on Etsy. While I typically don't use non-trusted brand products on my skin, I did give this one a try. It left my skin feeling very moisturized and had a very subtle, pleasing scent.
Work Hard, Dream Big Pencils – Retail Value $4.50
These adorable #2 pencils include a positive affirmation and are perfect to use during your morning scribing sessions.
Bonus: Life SAVERS Book Mark
This cardstock bookmark features the acronym from the book.
The Verdict: This Go Love Yourself was adorable and well curated. I loved the cohesive theme but felt that many of the items are overvalued on their listed price. I calculated a value of around $102, not including the $75 morning routine workshop. I don’t know that it feels like I received $100 worth of items but I do know there is additional value found by connecting with the coaches of the month, participating in the group coaching session, and being a part of the online community.
