Just got my box & it’s amazing… Happy Rebel might be my new favorite box (sorry FFF & Causebox!). I am missing the perfume but emailed customer service to straighten it out.

Marie

I’m so happy with my new purse. The candle is gorgeous and bigger than I thought! Absolutely impressed with the overall value and the choices. I gave the perfume to my mom, although I did enjoy the scent (Brooklyn).

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

Me too! Which purse did you get? I got the foldover and I’m amazed how much stuff it fits!

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Hey!! I’m interested to see how everyone liked the Tel Aviv and Brooklyn scents. I’ll have to get more holes in both purse’s to make it a crossbody on this 5’11” body. But I didn’t want to take the packaging off the fragrances.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn K

I got Tel Aviv and when I first sprayed it on I was afraid I wasn’t going to like it because all I smelled at first was powder. Then as it dried down I started to get more of the floral and citrus and I really do like it. I still smell powder, but I don’t mind it. My daughter smelled me and said “you smell like a baby doll” and then laughed. She kind of isn’t wrong, but in a good way. If that makes sense. I’m glad I took a chance on this one. I was scared I’d get a dud but it’s a keeper. I hope Liz does a review of the HR box soon.

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

I got the Tel Aviv. I like it more than I thought I would! It’s a pretty clean scent. It has a light fruity, feminine scent once it wears down and it wears down really quickly. It’s not a heavy smell, rather a light fragrance that I only notice when my wrist gets near my face.

For reference, my favorite perfumes are usually Burberry. I’m pretty picky and don’t like too many perfumes.

I hope that helps!

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

I picked Brooklyn and I think it smells a lot like Donna Karan’s Cashmere. So, yes it does smell powdery, but I guess I enjoy “grandma/baby bum” scents as some people call them🤣

Reply ButtonReply

Diana

In case you haven’t.. if you go to Gallivant’s website you can see where they sell it. https://www.gallivant-perfumes.com/pages/stockists

I was able to check it out in person before I chose my selection. I picked London and am in love.

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

I picked Brooklyn. I’m very picky and I’m not into perfume generally, so the correct words will escape me, however… It’s a little to powdery for me, not sweet enough. I don’t hate it, but it’s really not me. There is a little bit of sweet and citrus maybe, but that powdery scent is the thing I smell as I sit here. I goty box this morning (1/2 hour ago) and I sat and debates whether or not to open that perfume. But I finally decided I wouldn’t k ow unless I tried it, lol. I’ll try and swap it, but that’s why I didn’t want to open it…oh well. 🤷 The purse is cute, I’ll make good use out of it. I like the candle, it smells very yummy. Overall I’m happy. But man, if I liked that perfume, this would have been a home run.

Reply ButtonReply

noelle

I was worried about that. I had a difficult time choosing between the two, but cardamom notes in fragrances never go well for me. When mixed with a fresh scent, it always makes it seem powdery to me and overtakes the citrus notes. Maybe it’s just my skin chemistry though.

Which candle did you get? I got the orange one, and it is amazing. It’s exactly what I imagined, and it’s everything a fruity/floral scent should be.

Noelle

I got Tel Aviv. It’s one of those scents that when it first hits me, out of the bottle, I don’t really like it. The musky/woody notes seem to hit me first and are a bit overwhelming. Honestly, it smelled a bit like one of my grandma’s old perfume (I guess that’s the “lingering, 1970’s glamour” lol) But once it dries down a bit, I get the slightly sweet, fruity/floral scent I was looking for.

Reply ButtonReply

LB

I just tried Tel Aviv too and it’s interesting I haven’t noticed a dry down difference yet (but I totally know what you’re talking about. I dislike the new Nest Cocoa Woods scent until 10 minutes later and the longer it “wears” the more I love it). For Tel Aviv I get the fruity floral right off the bat and I’m not a floral personal at all but it’s balanced enough with the fruity I like it. It smells like Spring to me. I’ll likely be putting it away until then.

My boxes arrived today! Beyond amazing Box! I won’t comment more until Liz does a review!

For me it is the best box for the price ever!

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I just tracked my box for like, the 20th time today. It was just delivered, and I’m stuck at work, and I’m dying to go home and switch everything to my new bag. lol

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

Mine arrived today – I am beyond happy with this box.

Reply ButtonReply

PudgeKat

I agree! I’ve been getting sub boxes for years and just opened mine and it’s my favorite box ever! Well done! The customization made this amazing, thank you happy rebel!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Just opened mine and love it as well!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I got a shipping notice at 8:30 last night. Just clicked through to get an ETA, and it’s out for delivery! What?!

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I was amazed at the fast shipping. And the box was so well packaged. I bought another one for my friend and I know she will love it. She sat with me while we made her choices. She was on the fence about the perfume but went with Istanbul.

Happy Rebel is getting better and better. Fall was fabulous and winter topped it all!

Never ever has a sub box gotten it down so right. I loved the customization options. They have raised the bar for sub boxes now. I am dropping some subs just to stay a member of Happy Rebel.

Reply ButtonReply

Kc

Just got a shipping notice that it will go out tomorrow, yay!

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

I didn’t get an email, but I just checked and mine should be here on Monday 👏

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I got my shipping notice around 2am, saying it should arrive on Monday.
I am thrilled. Especially since I had a bit of a billing issue, which held up my renewal. I assumed my box would be delayed, but Happy Rebel took care of things and made it work for me.

Allison

If i subscribe today – Can i still pick selections? Or is it too late?

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I think it is too late but I would contact Johanna and ask her.

I think the cutoff for selections was November 29th.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

Previously, even after the renewal date, you could still make selections. However, your options might be a bit limited at this point. If there are particular items you want, I would advice contacting customer services and asking if you can still pick, and if so, which options are still available. CS is very responsive and friendly.

When I go into the shop for one-time product purchases, it looks like all 7 perfume options are currently available. However all 4 cards, 5 bags, and 5 candles appear to be out of stock. I wouldn’t read anything into that though. They just might be set aside at the moment until all of their current orders are fulfilled.

Reply ButtonReply

RKTaji

I’m really excited to get my Happy Rebel box as it will be my first box. I was wondering though if these four items are all that’s in the box or will they be sending another one or two items as Liz started in the review that they usually include 4 to 6 items?! Not that the 4 items aren’t enough or a great value. I love everything in the box but just asking out of curiosity.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

That is all that will be in the box. They’ve gone over well over 6 items in the past as well. Personally I really like getting a few, high value items over 1 hero item and a bunch of fillers. Especially since we had options with each item. But that’s just me. I don’t think I’d be as pleased if we didn’t have options though.

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

They’ve said 4 items in this box. Makes sense to me, since the purse is such a big ticket item all on its own!

Reply ButtonReply

minnowjoy

Does anyone know when this box will ship?

Reply ButtonReply

@HappyRebelBox

Hi minnowjoy! Our winter box ships December 15th. Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

minnowjoy

Thank HR!!

NANCY

Are there any promo codes for Happy Rebel right now on their subscriptions?

Reply ButtonReply

@HappyRebelBox

Hi Nancy! We do not have any subscription discount codes available at this time. Our only deal right now is a choose-your-hero-item mystery box.

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

Bummer! I was waiting for a discount code to sign up for this box. Not interested in another mystery box, my last one was awful… can’t give away the items.

Indiana

my choices (got 2 boxes, couldn’t decide between tel aviv and istanbul perfume):

box 1: green candle, black loveable, tel aviv and warm wishes
box 2: orange candle, simplistic, istanbul and holiday items card

SOOOOOO excited!!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

Guys, I’m just saying, why not have a “Merry Christmas” as an option. Something like 80-90% of people in the U.S. celebrate Christmas. Thus, Merry Christmas applies to the majority. Knowing that… there could have been one card with that as an option. I’m not saying to exclude other common phrases such as happy holidays, or a blank one or anything else for that matter, but it is pretty popular. Of course there has to be options, but usually Merry Christmas is now the option that’s left OUT.

And to the people arguing this has great value, I totally agree, but just because it has great value doesn’t mean someone has to LOVE everything in it. The box was worth the price for *me because I think the purse will be great, but the smelly stuff is a crap-shoot as far as I am concerned and I probably would not have purchased if the spoilers were reversed. But yes, still a great box.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

Which scents did you choose for the candle and perfume? Let me know how you feel about them when they arrive. I love candles and perfume, and if they are one of the scents I was interested in but didn’t choose, I might be willing to buy them off of you.

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

Wow funny, I can’t even be positive anymore! But I think the green candle and Brooklyn perfume.

Jordan

RVs for this box –

Candle: $60
Bag: $110 (loveable) or $125 (simplistic and fold over)
Perfume: $95
Card: $5

That’s a total of $270-$285 depending on your bag selection – I think that’s a FANTASTIC value, considering none of these items are inflated “exclusives” (cough cough BOS) and there’s customization for every item! I seriously think this is one of the best boxes I’ve seen from any sub ever!

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I am going to frame my card(s).

I chose the Merry and Bright and the Holiday items cards. I think the designs are gorgeous! Just looking at them makes me happy and they have an edgy vibe

I wonder if the perfume is spray or not. Does anyone know?

Reply ButtonReply

Tina

I’m fairly sure the perfume is a spray

SheriH

I totally agree! This is a fantastic box! I picked the Warm Wishes card and I have just the friend to give it to with her gift. Although I will admit to reconsidering. Someone mentioned a lovely idea of framing it, so I might just do that instead. I don’t understand some people. Not every item can be a hero item. Thank you Happy Rebel for coming up with such a stellar box!

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

And you said it yourself, not every item can be a hero item, so that means a person may not like an item…or two or even three lol, and that’s ok too. The value is there, but we don’t have to love everything in the box. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad box. I just stated that if the spoilers came in the opposite order, I probably would not have bought the box.
I don’t understand why people get upset when someone doesn’t like something in a box. Apparently some people aren’t liking the card, but I don’t think they are saying they wanted another $100 item, just NOT the card, lol.

Robyn

I don’t know perhaps countries are censored. I have said numerous times over hours and my comment is a no-show.

Th artist is J apanese. Perhaps, no assumptions, she is not Christian?

Reply ButtonReply

Vinnie

What does that have to do with anything? I have a friend who is a fantastic artist. She’s created beautiful works of religious art that she has been commissioned for. She’s atheist.

Reply ButtonReply

Robyn

I have tried to make this innocuous comment two times in reply to those complaining about the lack of Merry Christmas. Perhaps a stand alone comment will post?

The artist is Japanese. No assumptions but most Japanese are not Christian.

Reply ButtonReply

HeatherG

I think it’s a fabulous idea and makes perfect sense! The theme is “give & get” so they’re including everything (except maybe wrapping paper) you need if you choose to gift any part of the box.

Reply ButtonReply

azdesertgrl

I like the cards. I think they are a sweet nod to the holidays and fit within the box theme. It’s perfect for adding to a gift for a BFF or loved one or even for framing.

I selected the Warm Wishes and plan on framing it and adding to my holiday decor. I have a spot for it in my home office.

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

That is exactly the one I picked with the same intent. I think it will look gorgeous in a frame!

Reply ButtonReply

Lindsey

Does anyone actually know a way to get a new box added to the swap site? I’ve been trying to get the Elemis 2018 Advent Calendar added for weeks. I have emailed the address listed on the swap website for new boxes multiple times, and I have emailed Liz as well. Thanks for any suggestions 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

Good luck I sent an email about a swap lifter and haven’t heard back. Sadly this user has 4 swaps active and out themselves on vacation after receiving items from others.

Reply ButtonReply

hjp

I was swap-napped recently too, and I wasn’t even sure what to do about it without the forum. Sorry that it happened to you too.

Bella01

The Kiko Purses are 30 percent off on their website. Their adorable designs. I just purchased the Snazzy Bag original 195.00 and I got it for 135.00. If you like your Kiko purse I recommend their other bags too.

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

So cute, very artistic and unique and quite Edgy. I picked the Holiday boxes. I looked at the picture and I was wearing my new AE Beanie and boots and drinking coffee while reading. I thought how right on is this? This is me….lol

Reply ButtonReply

Robyn

I chose the same one! Looks just like my almost 17 y/o daughter 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

Sweet….exactly what I got out of it, they reminded me so something close to the heart…like your daughter 😊. I can’t wait to get them. Maybe we will keep them since they all ready mean something to us and we haven’t even recieved it yet. That’s a great box when that happens. ❤️

Christy

I’ve gotta defend Happy Rebel here.

I’m curious as to what people were expecting for a fourth spoiler. Personally, I’m wildly impressed with this box! There’s a legit leather purse PLUS two other high value, high demand type items, PLUS we got to customize the whole shebang!

In my mind (and also on paper) the value of this box FAR exceeds the price and I’m super stoked about it.

Reply ButtonReply

Bethany

Me too! Such an awesome box. I just purchased a second one…I’d been trying to resist, but decided I really wanted the second bag and candle! So, so, so excited!

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I know! It’s incredible. I’ve contemplated getting a second for the additional candle and perfume. I just don’t know what I’d do with a second bag.

Reply ButtonReply

Lenya

Counterpoint to another person’s comment, I’m glad that they chose card designs that will hopefully appeal to lots of folks, and aren’t limited to any one religion (or worse, representing one mainstream religion and ignoring all other religions and atheists – that wouldn’t exactly fit with the name “Happy Rebel”). I like the first card the best, but they’re all stylish.

Reply ButtonReply

LB

LOL. Excellent point about being a “happy rebel.”

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

Honestly, I don’t like them at all. And I really wish one of them would say Merry Christmas. Tired of that not being an option. In all honesty, if these spoilers came in the opposite order, I would not have taken the plunge. The purse is totally worth it (let’s hope we all love them when we actually get them in our hands) and I’m pretty sure the purfume is going to be a miss for me. The candle is the tipping point, if I love it then the box would be worth it, if not, well then…

Reply ButtonReply

Robyn

Also, she is Japanese. No assumptions but She might not be Christian.

Apologies if this repeats, I tried this post hours ago.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

🙄….Not everyone celebrates Christmas. Christmas is not the only holiday in December, nor should it be the blanket holiday statement either.

As a Jew, I appreciate that it’s not Merry Christmas. The box isn’t Christmas themed. It’s a winter box, Christmas happens to be in the winter. As does Hannukah. And Kwanza. And New Years. And probably a bunch of other things as well. I’m not offended by Merry Christmas and I don’t think people should get offended by Happy Holidays as an alternative.

I would have preferred thank you cards over a holiday theme personally, but I do like that these are not holiday specific.

Reply ButtonReply

Danelle

I think I have to agree. While I love the candle brand and purse, I am concerned about the perfume being an issue for me since I have asthma. Some I can wear and some
I can’t. And this last spoiler. Huge miss. One card? Really? Stop with the paper and card items. I’m on the fence now about skipping this box or FOMO.

Reply ButtonReply

Robyn

She is Japanese, so no assumptions but maybe she isn’t Christian.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Thank you! It’s so frustrating that “Merry Christmas” is SO offensive to some people. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Ake

I celebrate Christmas, but I still say “Happy Holidays” more than I say “Merry Christmas.” I love this time of year (late November through the New Year) because there are so many holidays, and so much to celebrate and enjoy and appreciate! I’d feel pretty silly wishing people “Merry Christmas” when we haven’t even had Thanksgiving yet, but I want to wish all the people all the happiness for all of their celebrations.

Why choose anger when you could choose joy? Happy Holidays, everyone!

AmyM

It’s not offensive. But, the simple fact is, not everyone celebrates Christmas, either as a religious OR secular holiday. I like respecting other’s traditions and wishes, along with my own.

Lena

It’s not always meant as a political statement. The fact that people choose to say happy holidays is not a diss on Christmas. No one is saying you can’t celebrate Christmas! Happy holidays is just a more inclusive statement – it includes Christmas!!

AmyN

I went with Warm Wishes! That completes my box with the black candle, black foldover, and London (but Istanbul keeps calling??). I wish I could afford a second box like some others. This would be the one time I’d double up.

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

Same pucks as me, except with Amsterdam!

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

I kind of wish we just received one of each card, they’re all pretty cute – BUT, I’m in love with that merry + bright card so that’s what I’ll be going for! (and honestly, the first 3 spoilers were so fantastic I couldn’t care less what the last item is)

Reply ButtonReply
