Is anyone else nervous that first Luxor Box offered crazy cheap subscription prices on Gilt a couple months ago and now they seem to be liquidating their entire inventory?
Fingers crossed this isn’t another box to bite the dust in the new year…ughhh.

It’s not a huge sale, and Popsugar’s sale is much more massive, with really huge savings.

Right, I wasn’t thinking about Popsugar so much – that sale was AMAZING, by the way if you were lucky enough to nab something 🙂 – I was thinking more about boxes like LLB and other boxes where the entire company is long gone now. They often seemed to follow a pattern…they were rolling along seemingly fine, then they offered super discounted subscriptions or even created a new, supplemental sub box (in the case of LLB it was Serendipity) presumably in an attempt to attract a bunch of new subscribers and get some fast cash, then they sold off a bunch of inventory to raise even more fast cash, and then they abruptly shut down. When LLB did it they didn’t even send the inventory people purchased, they just vanished. But let’s just hope Luxor is just cleaning house and there’s nothing more to it. I know people were concerned about that happening with Oui Please but so far so good on that one too…they actually seem to be improving lately! I think I’m just paranoid after having been burned a few too many times and then trying to battle with the credit card companies to get refunds of the unfulfilled subscriptions.

Shouldn’t a sub company want to liquidate everything it can between seasons?

I hope that’s all it is. But they’ve never had a sale like this before and this is the sort of thing that a number of subs did to raise cash right before they shut down.
But I like your optimism so I’ll run with that theory too! Fingers crossed!

The code works on the mystery box too.

CAREFUL of buying the Champagne “Flutes” on their store black friday page. IT may look like you are buying 2- but really it is only one if you read the fine print! Maybe its obvious to everyone– but just posting this bc the pic makes it look like a set.

Great catch! Thank you. I also noticed that they referred to the flute as a “cup” and said it was made out of porcelain and gold so I’m assuming they have the wrong description on their website. But it’s too big of a gamble to buy one and hope they include two champagne flutes included. oh well.
thank you again!

Thank you for pointing that out! Kind of deceiving…
Only item I would be interested in out of the marketplace sale is the plush pumpkin but it already sold out:(

Hi! I’m pretty sure you linked a really old box review to the “my review of the latest Luxor Box” link. The link takes us to a post from Nov 12, 2015.
