Stitch Fix is a monthly clothing and styling subscription service. When you initially sign up, you take an in-depth survey that asks you about your clothing size, personal style, and price preferences. Your stylist handpicks five items based on your preferences within the survey. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping as well as free returns. If you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing October 2018 Review
This is the invoice that was included. It shows in detail the items selected for me and the brands, sizes, and cost of each piece. The total comes up to $224.50 after all the discounts if I opt to keep everything—which is a $101.50 total savings! That covers most of the cost of the DM Collection dress!
As always, this handy sheet with a sweet note from my stylist, Candace, was included. I always appreciate the styling tips: they are so useful and inspiring! Candace is consistently thoughtful in her selections and even referred to my feedback last time requesting mock turtleneck tops and jumpsuits. I feel heard and seen by my stylist, and for that I am appreciative!
Alonsa Knit Dress by DM Collection Size 20W—Retail Value $118
I gasped when I unboxed this month’s Stitch Fix and saw this gem! My stylist, Candace, totally understands my love of retro prints and orange/yellow/red combinations. I love the touches of neon oranges and bright baby pinks in this floral dress. They print pops due to the dark, contrasting jewel toned navy! The fit on this dress is a smidge roomy, but that is fine because it allows you to layer tops under the dress! I can see wearing this with a mustard yellow button down and red shoes to bring out the gorgeous colors in this number. The material is thick enough for our chilly fall weather but is still wearable and comfortable enough to be worn in the spring and early summer months. I styled this on a warmer day with my favorite Wild Fable black platform sandals and red faux leather biker jacket. This look is ideal for the office and a date post work!
Medea Cut Out Sleeve Cotton Pullover by Skies Are Blue Size 2x—Retail Value $68
This beautiful blue sweater has a lattice-like open crisscross design that shows skin but also manages to keep you cozy. The sweater itself is made from a thin, yet warm knit. I paired this stunner with the black faux leather moto leggings included in my Stitch Fix, but this can easily be paired with a cute graphic skirt, tights, and booties at the office or with jeans and sneakers for a more relaxed, casual look.
Glynn Faux Leather Detail Moto Legging by Rune Size 2x—Retail Value $58
Anyone that knows me is aware of my love of leggings, so you bet your dupa I was pleased to see these in this in Candace’s selections for me! These leggings are serving up a Suzi Quatro meets Peg Bundy aesthetic--and I am here for it! These pants have great stretch and fit rather well at the waist. The faux leather section on each leg and diagonal ribbed design at the knee definitely make these look rather unique and high end. I styled them with the sweater included in this month’s Stitch Fix, but I can see wearing these pants with open toed platform heels, a long button-down tunic, and a cropped biker jacket for a saucy Saturday night look!
Oleksandra Crew Neck Blouse by West Kei Size 2x—Retail Value $38
It’s funny that Candace, my stylist, sent me this copper brown polka dot blouse because I’ve been making a bit of a conscious effort to be more open to shades of brown. I generally avoid neutral browns and tans because I find them to be a bit too tame for me. However, this past year I have added different camel and rust colors into my wardrobe. Baby steps, right? This top has limited stretch, but still fit me well. I paired it with the incredibly fall appropriate accessories from my latest Pinup in a Pack, dark denim jeans, and mustard yellow mules! I can see this top looking fantastic with a denim jumper or a mustard corduroy mini skirt and knee socks—how adorable, right?
Hayleigh Keyhole Blouse by Papermoon Size 2x—Retail Value $44
My stylist, Candace, is also well aware of my love for shades of yellow and included this floral blouse. The top’s fabric is light with limited stretch, but is a versatile piece that can be worn all year—just add layers in the cooler months! I styled the sleeveless blouse with dark denim jeans and my go-to mustard yellow mules, but this would look great with a cardigan, pencil skirt, and flats at the office as well.
The Verdict: This month’s selections were decent, but had some killer standouts as well! My favorite of the bunch definitely was the fantastically retro Alonsa knit dress! My boyfriend even said upon seeing it, ”Wow! Your stylist REALLY gets you!” That is the beauty of Stitch Fix - having a stylist like Candace that truly puts the time and energy into finding pieces that speak to you! I also loved the Moto Leggings and Skies Are Blue Sweater! I applaud Candace for being so thoughtful in consulting my feedback and Pinterest for inspiration for my monthly boxes. Her efforts always make me feel so valued! I am always eager to see what I get each month for my Stitch Fix due to this attentive customer service!
