Our Review
Common Labs Vitamin C Real Jel Mask Facial Treatment - Retail Value $4.50
This is a two-step mask, with step one being a peel pad that you massage into your skin to clear dead skin cells and step two being a traditional sheet mask infused with Vitamin C to brighten and hydrate your skin. This was my favorite find from the box! The peel pad was very gentle but at the same time made my skin feel super clean and prepped for the mask. The mask itself had a very thick serum on it and was very comfortable to wear. I wore it for about 30 minutes, and there was still a thick layer of serum on my face after I removed the mask. I didn’t wash the serum off, just let it soak in for the next couple of hours, and my skin looked so incredibly glowing and soft! I couldn’t believe how great this worked - without any makeup at all, my skin looked almost airbrushed the next morning!
Make Prem Comfort Air Sheet Mask - Retail Value $4.50
This sheet mask is designed to be super light on your skin and contains calming and nourishing ingredients to soothe dry skin. Among the ingredients listed are chamomile, oxygen, and Nordic berry extract. This was a great everyday type of mask, as it was very light and refreshing. My skin felt hydrated and soft after using it, but I didn’t notice any significant results like I did with the first mask.
Package Every Day Bouncy Sheet Mask - Retail Value $3.50
This sheet mask is made to be ultra-hydrating and contains honey extract, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid. The serum on the mask had a thin consistency, and I felt like it pressed into my skin easily. The mask was comfortable to wear and fit my face well. I felt a little bit dried out after using the mask, but after I applied my favorite moisturizer my skin felt extra hydrated and bouncy.
Package Melt Me Softly Nose Strip - Retail Value $1.00 (found here for $0.95)
This is a nose strip that contains lemon and herb essence that is designed to melt away blackheads, instead of adhering to them and pull them out like most nose strips are designed to do. In full disclosure, I made my husband try this mask, as he has much more significant blackheads on his nose than I do! He left the mask on for about 30 minutes and said it had a tingly feeling throughout. After using the mask it made his skin feel softer, but neither of us noticed a big difference in his blackheads.
Wish Formula Panda Eye Mask - Retail Value $3.00 (get 10 for $24.00 here)
These eye patches are designed to brighten and hydrate the under eye area by the use of Vitamin C and Vitamin E. The patches are quite large and have a unique shape - they extend up the outer edges of your eye further than I’ve seen in an eye mask before. The product is very saturated onto the patches, and they stuck to my skin without any issue. They stayed in place for the 20 minutes I had the patches on and didn’t ever feel like they were drying out. After using the mask, the skin under my eyes definitely looked very hydrated and smooth, but I didn’t notice much of a brightening effect.
The Verdict: The total value for this box is $16.50, which is just slightly higher than the $14.99 price tag. The front of the box advertises that the value is “over $21,” but based on my research I don’t know how Target reached that amount. The real value of this kit is that most of these products aren’t easily found in drugstores - the only one that I was able to find for sale on its own at Target was the Common Labs Vitamin C Mask. This would be a great way to try out a few different Korean beauty lines, or it would make a thoughtful gift for just about anyone! I love that this box feels very curated, in that all the masks are purported to give you hydrated, glowing skin. And that’s something we are all looking for at this time of year!
