Wantable Fitness Edit October 2018 Review
When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. This is a note from my stylist. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $479. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $115.80. That's a deep discount!
Cut Out Draped Back Tank by Shape Active - Cost to Keep $54
This thin cotton knit tank is super stylish! I love the braided neckline, it is such a gorgeous detail! Unfortunately, I think it's just a wee bit small on me. Also, it has really open armholes and just an overall general summer vibe. I think this is a piece I might like to see in a box next summer.
Divine Capri by Shape Active - Cost to Keep $68
These leggings are super cool! I love the print. They have good compression, plus they have one of those handy slits in the back of waistband for a key or other small item. I also like the length a lot, too.
Thermalite Hooded Sweater by Activezone - Cost to Keep $58
Hooray! It's thumbhole season! Finally! I like the color of this sweater a lot. I wouldn't have really thought of a sweater as a workout garment, but this is a tightly woven cotton blend, and I think it would really work as a piece to wear into a workout and then back out once you have cooled down. It seems like it would clean easily and well, as opposed to some types of sweaters. Oh, and by the way, it is not hooded at all, so I'm not sure what the booklet is talking about.
G Force Tee by Shape Active - Cost to Keep $58
This tee is an unflattering cut for me, unfortunately. I think the mesh detail on the back of the shoulders is really cool, and the color is awesome! My son said he really liked it on me, which was almost enough to make me want to keep it, haha. But I am also not crazy about this synthetic "moisture-wicking" blend. I prefer natural fibers on my tops, even when I am working out.
City Jogger by Shape Active - Cost to Keep $68
These cotton knit sweatpants are pretty standard. Thy might be a little boring for my tastes. The booklet says they are black, but they really seem to be a dark charcoal color. I don't know, they're fine but they just don't really appeal to me. I think $68 is a little high for standard issue sweatpants.
Lola Fitted All in One Tank by Lola Getts - Cost to Keep $65
Oh my! I'm not sure if this is the most unflattering top I have ever worn for MSA, but it is definitely up there. It's got this weird compression all over, and it just looks horrid on me! The color is ok, but the fabric is also thick and kind of rough. This is just a big no for me.
Releve Lounge Pant by Marika Curves - Cost to Keep $60
These lounge pants are also not super flattering, but they are super comfortable. They don't look bad, I think I might just have shell shock from that tank. These pants are a cotton knit, but they are kind of thin and slinky. I like them a lot as lounge pants. I just don't know if I need to spend $60 on another pair of black lounge pants.
Essential Hooded Jacket by Activezone - Cost to Keep $48
Yay! More thumb holes! I love the color on this hoodie, too. It is a super soft cotton knit blend, and it is perfect for the season. I had one like this when I was a little girl, and I loved it. Now I can have another one! This is an easy win.
The Verdict: This was another great box from Wantable Fitness Edit! This month was a mix of hits and misses, as expected, but I was excited to discover the concept of the workout sweater! I also really like the hoodie and the leggings. Wantable Fitness Edit is a fun subscription. I am really enjoying building a solid workout wardrobe!
