Wantable Style Edit October 2018 Review
When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Scott. It explains why he chose the items he picked for me.
This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $417. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $103.40. That's a deep discount!
Jacquard Elbow Sleeve Dress by Michel Studio - Cost to Keep $79
Despite the short sleeves, this is pretty much the ideal dress for fall here in Georgia. I love the print! It's very retro professional, and on a dress with a modern cut, I think it's a very cool overall effect. The dress is a poly spandex blend, but with a bit of a woolen feel to it. It's also a good length, and it would look great with a cardigan. I really like this dress!
Hacci Elbow Sleeve Top by W. by Wantable - Cost to Keep $59
The color of this top got a little washed out in this photo - it is actually a really cool heather hunter green. I love the color! I actually really like many things about this top - it has a chic dolman cut, the sleeves are a good length, and it's a super soft hacci knit in a nice medium weight. Unfortunately, dolman is just the wrong shape for my body. This would look amazing on someone with more of an apple shape.
Wide Leg Ponte Pants by Lysse - Cost to Keep $84
I love Lysse pants, they are truly miraculous. They're made of a proprietary synthetic blend, and they have this amazing compression without being uncomfortable at all. They are so supportive! As such, I already have this exact same pair of pants. Otherwise, I would be completely psyched! The only thing I don't like about this particular pair is that they are way too long, and I think most women would need to hem them. Totally worth it, though.
Paityn Washed V-Neck Tee by Dear John - Cost to Keep $32
Wantable pretty consistently sends me this type of highly-used-looking tee, and I'm not a huge fan. Maybe I'm too old school, but I kind of want to wear out my own tees, is that weird? I did keep one like this over the summer, though, because like this one, it was super soft, had a good cut, and was a fun discoloration. I just don't feel like I need this one right now.
Fooler Top by Love & Legend - Cost to Keep $68
I do love a plaid in the fall, but when I look at this picture of myself wearing this top, it just looks like something is wrong. I am not sure really what they were going for. The bottom is cotton and the top is a stretchy sweater blend. It almost looks like a twofer type sweater, but the plaid hem is just way, way too long! I guess it's supposed to be like one of those midriff twofers? Except then why does the "under" shirt billow so much? It's just confusing to me.
Patchwork Tee by DEX - Cost to Keep $45
I really, really wish I had received this top is July or August. This is my favorite piece in the box! But it's so unseasonal! I think I have to keep it, but then be sad because I can't wear it for six months. The front is a crisp poly blend and the back in cotton tee knit. I love the stylish details in the back! And the lace trim at the shoulders! And the print!
Ruffle Sleeve Tunic Blouse by Michel Studio - Cost to Keep $59
This chiffon top has the most adorable winter floral print! I love it! The flouncy ruffle sleeves are also really fun. It's a bit long, but otherwise, I really like it.
The Verdict: I really love my Wantable Style Edit! This month was a mixture of hits and misses, which is to be expected, but I feel like I definitely got more hits this month than usual. I love the Dex tee and the dress. I feel like, in terms of cost and value, Wantable sends a good mix of inexpensive and pricier pieces. I also love that they send seven pieces! It's so fun!

The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount.
