This review is of the Wantable Style Edit, $20 a month, box.
This box was sent to us at no cost to review (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
When you sign up, you fill out an extensive style profile. They ask what kind of items you would like to receive along with size, color, style, and price point preferences. Each category is ranked with a like, dislike, or love. There is also a space to leave notes for your stylist. By the end, your stylist should have a very good idea of what you like and don’t like.
Each edit includes 5-6 clothing and accessories items picked for you by your stylist using your style profile. You have 5 days to try everything on and to send what you don’t want to purchase back in the included prepaid envelope. My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Wantable Style Edit may be completely different!

Wantable Style Edit October 2018 Review
I can tell that this month is going to be full of cozy, warm layering pieces made of luxurious fabrics. Let’s check it out!
Each edit includes a booklet with a note from your stylist and an invoice. This month, Christina sent me 7 clothing items. There’s also an info card about exchanges.
And here’s my invoice. If I were to keep the entire box, the $493 total would be discounted $118.60 (20% off + $20 styling fee deducted) for a total of $374.40. With this discount, each item would cost an average of $53.49.
Wantable also includes a prepaid return envelope to send back any items I don’t want to keep.
Reese V-Neck Sweater in Ivory by Trim & Tailor, L - Cost to Keep $88 (Return)
I had the hardest time letting go of this sweater! The 60% wool, 30% nylon, 10% cashmere mix was just so plush and comfortable. It was also surprisingly breathable for the hefty weight. I tend to shy away from wool since it makes me itchy, but there was no scratchiness or loose fuzzies here. I really like the oversized feel, especially with the olive skinnies my stylist sent, but the large was just a bit too big. I tried to exchange it for a medium, but it was no longer available. Sigh.
Ankle Biter Skinny in Juniper with Destruction by Kensie, 8 - Cost to Keep $68 (Return)
Aren't these just perfect for the ivory sweater?! I was sure I'd keep them, but after a few minutes of trying them on, I noticed they kept sliding down my hips. I think the waist was about a size too big and a belt could have helped. But the likelihood that I'd wear a belt with this style of pant is low, so I sent them back. I hope Wantable sends me another pair similar to this to try later. Maybe a higher-waist cut would stay put better.
Cutout V-Neck Dress in Black by Z Supply, M - Cost to Keep $48 (Return)
Another good item! I love the feel of Z Supply's knit material – it's so cool and soft on the skin. The cutouts at the neck are very on trend too. I felt like this is definitely an item I'd love to have in the spring or summer but feels a little too lightweight for the winter months. Now, if it had long sleeves, I'd be all over it!
Braided Faux Suede Drape Jacket in Black Crackle by Vigoss, M - Cost to Keep $88 (Keep)
Ding, Ding, Ding! This is an item that I requested from the Stream and I'm so glad my stylist included it this month. I love jackets and this crackle suede drape jacket is amazing! I love that it can be worn down and drapey, or zipped-up for a more asymmetrical structured look. The lace-up details on the shoulder and band along the back add some sass. I'm going to get lots of use out of this piece.
Glam Turtle Neck in Black by Free People, L - Cost to Keep $68 (Return)
In my style note, I mentioned that I was looking for a sleek black turtleneck. While Wantable didn't have a "sleek" one, they did have this one. The fabric is a black knit with gold metallic fleck throughout. I'm pleased that I can't feel the flecks against my skin. My problem is that this is a size too large and that only exaggerates the shapelessness on me. I sized up to a large in tops to try and curb my "tightness around the bust" issues. That didn't pan out so it looks like I'll be switching back to a medium.
Crushed Velour V-Neck Tee in Midnight Berry by Z Supply, L - Cost to Keep $45 (Keep)
Yes! I now own something in the velvet category! This berry color is gorgeous – the way the light hits the crushed velvet makes it look so rich. I love that it's cut like a casual tee yet is made from what I consider a dress fabric. I can pair it with jeans for a casual look or tuck it into a black skirt for date night. With the holidays coming up, I think this is a super cute addition to my closet.
High Waisted Super Skinny Cuffed Ankle in Medford Wash by Meritage, 29 - Cost to Keep $88 (Return)
I love the high button waist and raw hemmed cuffs on these ankle jeans. Downsides were that these felt a touch too big and the cuffs were permanent. Even though I like them, I have a pair similar in color and style that I bought a while back, so I skipped these for now.
The Verdict: This was a great Wantable Style Edit for me! I liked all of the styles and only returned items due to them being too big or me already owning something similar. That's great for my stylist to have gotten a 7 out of 7 for picking items that are my style! The Stream requests seem to be working out for me so I went ahead and requested several things I like for future edits. I think I'll also go in and update my sizes to see if I can give Wantable a better idea of what I need. Since I’m keeping 2 items, I don’t receive the 20% discount, but my $20 styling fee will be applied to my purchase. So the total for the 2 items is $113. For $20 a month (which also includes free shipping and returns), Wantable Style Edit is a low-risk way of shopping for clothes in the comfort of your home.
