Monthly XIO Bag "Cosmic Chic" Review
The theme of this month’s box is “Cosmic Chic,” presenting subscribers with a range of newly released, celestial accessories.
On the back of the info card, XIO listed each item featured as well as what each piece is made of and its retail value.
Large Crescent Moon Necklace - Retail Value $70
Simply put? I am obsessed with this necklace. The moon design is so sleek, and when the light hits it just right, the gems light right up. Normally larger charms like this one are found on long chains, but I am so happy they went with a 16-inch chain (not including the 2-inch extender), so the 2.5-inch moon is displayed front and center! The metal that makes up this beauty is gold plated 925 sterling silver, and the closure is a delicate spring ring.
Mini Stars Choker - Retail Value $55
My necklace collection consists of mostly gold plated chokers, so this necklace will fit in seamlessly. These petite stars are so cute, and the chain measures 15 inches, sitting perfectly at the base of my neck. Each dainty star contains 6 cubic zirconia gems which makes it a great match for layering with the Crescent Moon necklace. This necklace is also made of gold-plated 925 sterling silver, sporting a delicate spring ring closure.
Evil Eye Bangle - Retail Value $35
This gold-plated brass bracelet is a chic piece I wouldn’t have chosen for myself, but it is growing on me. The thin, pliable metal allows you to fit the bangle to your wrist. The turquoise evil eye adds a little pop of color and is met at the other end with another gleaming gem. I liked the fit of this bracelet on my own wrist, but I feel anyone with a slightly bigger wrist would not get the intended look for this style.
The two necklaces compliment each other and were easy to wear layered; this is my favorite necklace combination right now!
The Verdict: I love the “Cosmic Chic” theme of this month’s Monthly XI0 Bag. The moon and stars necklaces swept me off my feet, and I received a few compliments when I wore them layered together. The jewelry by XIO seems to be quality-made, and I am very fond of the three designs that were featured this month. The total value of this box comes to $160; that is awesome for a $70 box ($60 a month plus $9.98 shipping)! I really like what I’ve seen so far from this new box, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for December.
