Apollo Jewelry Surprise Box December 2018 Review
This month I received a holiday card with a hand-written note.
As well as sheets devoted to each item I received.
The box includes an invoice detailing the retail price of the items included and the discount you received by subscribing. For reference, I said that my style was glam, crystal/gemstone, and vintage.
Snowflake Cookie Necklace – Retail Value $31.50
This necklace is handmade in California using polymer clay. It is on a 20-inch chain with a 2-inch extender and a lobster clasp I think it is cute for the season but I definitely don't think it is $31 cute- it definitely looks a bit too handmade for my taste, especially considering I marked “glam” as one of my styles.
Crystal Clover Bracelet – Retail Value $22.50
I find this bracelet to be quite charming- it is delicate but very dainty and beautiful. The bracelet is a 5.5-inch chain with a 2-inch extender, and it didn't snag on anything while I was wearing it. I wish there was more information about the metal used, however – I would hate if this will turn green with contact with water.
Jingle Bell Bag Charm – Listed Value $6.99
This jingle bell charm is cute- it actually jingles! This was listed as a box exclusive item, and while it would be cute on your purse or keys I also think it would be really cute attached to a wrapped present to add some extra charm (see what I did there?).
The Verdict: This wasn’t a great box for me considering over half of the value goes to the homemade snowflake charm. I think this could be a good box for you if you really appreciate the homemade jewelry look, and to get the most out of your subscription I recommend being as specific as possible in your notes when you sign up. Value-wise this month’s box had a total value of $60.99, which is above the promised retail value of $50.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The items you will receive are based on your preferences, so you aren’t likely to get the same things I did. When you sign up, you can choose your delivery date window as well.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $30 + free shipping, which means that each of the 3 pieces included this month have an average price of $10.
