Luna Nectar Jade Roller - Retail Value $25

Jade rollers are everywhere this year, and I'm excited to finally try one! These are great for facial massage - specifically lymphatic drainage. (Check out Marne + Anna's AMAZING tutorial on jade rollers.)

This is my new habit when I'm doing a phone call. Speakerphone + facial massage = my new favorite life hack 🙂

Matr Boomie Necklace - Retail Value $33

(Subscribers will either receive this necklace or earrings. Annual subscribers get to choose their jewelry preference.)

This necklace features a silver-toned hammered disc, with a gold-toned disc behind it.

The necklace has a toggle clasp, but at 30 inches in length, I could easily slide it over my head. (Though this could be useful if you want to wrap the necklace around twice.)

Here it is on:

It's a pretty impressive statement piece considering how simple and lightweight it is - now I just need some ideas on how to style it! I'm thinking of leaning into the metal trend and trying this with a gold top or dress. Let me know what you suggest!

SiiZU Poncho Wrap - Retail Value $115

This poncho wrap is available in 3 colors. Annual subscribers get to pick the color of their choice.

The warm tones of this cranberry version are a welcome addition to my closet. (I need a little push out of my all black everything comfort zone!)

The fabric is super soft and cozy. It's a tight weave, so it gives you warm without adding bulk.

Here it is on:

The poncho definitely is the main focus in just about any outfit that features a poncho, so I'm happy to report that this also can be worn as a scarf if you want a different look:

It's also just so cozy that I'll be wearing this around the house all the time as a wrap. (I'm always cold in the winter!)

KLEI Detox Spearmint + Floral Facial Steam - Retail Value $22

This all-natural facial steam is made with Chamomile, Lavender, Rose Petals, Rosemary, Juniper, and Spearmint. It smells lovely to me (I tend to love natural beauty product scents). To use it, you boil water, pour it over a capful of this blend in a bowl, and let it cool for a min or two. Then drape a towel over your head and lean over close to the bowl for a few minutes. It's supposed to help open your pores and hydrate skin. It feels great, but if that's for you, there are other great uses for this blend, too. (I'll be adding some to a muslin bag and throwing it my next bath!)

LSTN The Crescent Bluetooth Earbuds - Retail Value $99.99

These Bluetooth earbuds are super lightweight and easy to use.

They come with a charging USB cable and 3 different size sets of ear tips for the perfect fit.

They also have a microphone, and play/pause button with volume control.

My favorite part of the design?

Thanks to the additional ear grips, these are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn!

UPDATE: I realize I forgot to talk about sound quality! For music, it's decent/good, but not great. For podcasts, (which is what I'm primarily using it for) it's perfect.

And LSTN uses proceeds from every purchase to give hearing aids across the globe!

Idlewild Co 2019 Planner - Retail Value $32

I LOVE this planner! The black and white grid design is classic, the gold metal accents are chic, and the pale pink pages and tabs are just enough color.

Each tab offers a month view and a page for every week:

This is my ideal format for setting my 3 to-dos per day!

And there's a pocket in the back for any notes, stickers, etc.

Wrapping Paper by Claire Ritchie

Every season CAUSEBOX collaborates with an artist for the box design, and this quarter they extended that design to wrapping paper, too!

The box includes 3 sheets (one in each color).

And lastly, we get a matching postcard:

Verdict: This CAUSEBOX has a value of about $327 - not counting the wrapping paper and postcard designs! As usual, I am so impressed with CAUSEBOX. I love their mission of working with brands + companies that give back, support fair trade, etc., and the box curation is equally amazing. I'm a fan of every item in this box, and I think the value is great for $54.95!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! But hurry—they go fast!

What are the care instructions for the black and gray plaid poncho from 2018 Winter Causebox? Mine is shedding all over my white blouse. Would a rinse in vinegar water help?
Love the look and feel of it.

I got this box for the first time. I got the earrings (I was hoping for the necklace) but I decided to send them to my mom. If she doesn’t like them, I’ll make us matching necklaces (so dorky). I got the white poncho, which was my least favorite of the three in the picture but I really like it fine. I love how soft and warm it is – I took it out of the box when it came Saturday morning, and I wore it around all weekend long. However, I did NOT appreciate the way it sheds and pills all over my black cotton shirt! Yuck! As for the rest of the box, the earbuds are comfortable enough to fall asleep to audiobooks with, and the planner is beautiful, but the cover gets stuck a little – I’m not sure it will last a year being carried around, so I’ll probably have to have it be my work schedule that lives open on my desk. The facial steam has an ingredient I’m allergic to, but I knew that going in, so I had a gifting plan in place. I enjoy the jade roller and I have a plan for using the paper in my decorating scheme next fall (since it looks much more fall than winter to me). I still think it’s a great value for the cost and am toying with ordering a year’s subscription before they run out, and cancelling my pay one-at-a-time box.

I am now REALLY bummed out that I selected the jade roller in my FFF box. I was anxious to try it but certainly don’t need 2! Also bummed about the earbuds and planner, neither will I use. Other than the cranberry poncho, this box is a big miss for me ☹️

I got my first box with the black Friday deal. I didn’t pick the bonus box with the Swell bottle because I have a bunch of Swell bottles. I got the box with the bigger value and I love it. It has a gorgeous gold and cream knit cap with a pom pom on the end and its handmade and hand signed on the inside of the cap on a tag which is super cool, I got an Honest Miracle Balm (full size), a beautiful thin and heavy geometric bracelet in a gift able box (but I love it so much I am keeping it), and a beautiful table runner that can also be hung as decorative art. For the Winter box I got the cream poncho which I love (its warm and soft) and the earrings, which I also love because they are very lightweight and gorgeous. I have long dark hair and these are a beautiful contrast. I am very impressed with the quality and care of each item. I am not a fan of the planner, only because I don’t use them and can’t even give them away. But I am considering making the switch from FF. I really like the conscientiousness of each item and how they are sourced in addition to the quality.

MinnePuffin

I got my box today and I’m thrilled! I got my least favorite color of poncho, but the quality is so nice that it’ll still get use! The Jade roller is nice and I’m looking forward to making use of it when I get headaches. The earrings are really cute!

The only thing that I don’t love is the earbuds. They are insanely overvalued. My FFF ones have way better sound. These are kind of echoey/tinny. Even for podcasts, they aren’t ideal, though I agree with Liz that they are much more usable for podcasts than music. They’re like the $10 Bluetooth earbuds you can get at Target. Usable, but nothing impressive. They even have the same inner ear hook thing and control bar as my Target ones.

Does anyone know what the three mystery items are for the Black Friday deal?

Reply ButtonReply

Geanna

I got a candle, table runner and hand cream

Reply ButtonReply

Geanna

Also I got a necklace. If anyone wants to trade I want the earrings lol. Let me know 🙂

Jeanne G

I got four mystery items, they seem to be from the winter box a year ago. I got the table runner, the balm, the bracelet, and the copper beanie cap. I’m thrilled by all but the bracelet, which is a little small. But I have someone in mind to regift it to, so even that’s not terrible.

Just wanted to come on and add my two sense. I received my box last week and in the hustle of the season really just sat down to look at the items. I am always a lot more impressed with the quality of Causebox items than I was with FFF. This is my third box, and without fail, when the items reach my house and I can actually see and feel them, I am always happy. I had the opposite reaction to FFF….I would like the spoilers and then when the items arrived, they seemed cheap to me. The poncho received is so much bigger and warmer than the one I got from FFF last year. I like the earrings more than I thought I would as they are well made, light and very wearable. The planner is really nice and heavy….good quality! The facial steam smells heavenly and the jade roller also seems of good quality. I am still happy with my decision to convert!

I received my box yesterday and I am an annual member. I received the wrong color poncho (I ordered the rust colored one and received the white one) and I received the earrings and ordered the necklace. Now I see that I am receiving a SECOND box that I never ordered. What the heck is up with this box? VERY disappointed. Is this normal for them? I have only ever received one prior box and was pretty pleased with it. I tried to contact Customer Service, but I’ve heard that they are not very responsive. I am not sure what I should do (and BTW, I was charged for BOTH boxes)!

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

Debra,
This happened to me when I switched from a monthly subscriber to an annual. They sent (and billed me) for 2 boxes. First one didn’t have the items I selected but the second one did. I had no issues with customer service. They responded quickly, issued a refund immediately and sent me a return label for the extra box. Good luck!

My box was delivered today, and stolen off my porch right before I came home from work, along with a FFF Style box. *Cry* I was really looking forward to both.

Reply ButtonReply

Molly

Awww. I’m sorry that happened to you. Some people are scumbags. That’s awful. Hang in there.

Reply ButtonReply

BeccaA

One of my brothers suggested rigging up a system that sprays long-lasting green dye on holiday package thieves, thereby marking them as Grinches. It made me feel a little better just thinking about it!

LisaFalana

NOOO! OMG! I’m so sorry. We have a Ring doorbell so it notifies me of movement on my porch. And I have every app to every delivery service and incessantly track my deliveries. Luckily I work close to home and can run home to throw packages into the garage and go back to work because of this exact reason. All that, just so I can keep what’s mine on my own darn porch! We live in a very nice neighborhood, but every year at holiday time it turns into the Hunger Package Games! Its a shame.

Reply ButtonReply

BeccaA

We have cameras and everything, but a very brazen man pulled his car into our driveway, loaded up the packages, and took off, all in just over a minute. I am now having packages delivered to a pickup location. At least my local police and consignment stores have been helpful, restoring my faith in humanity. 🙂

Jamie Zimmett

If have the cream poncho if anyone wants to trade!

Reply ButtonReply

Lori A Davis

I ordered on the 9th hoping to give as a Christmas gift. It hasn’t shipped yet. Does anyone have experience with the shipping. Should I start shopping elsewhere so I have a gift to give my daughter in law? 😕

Reply ButtonReply

LisaFalana

I wouldn’t let this last weekend go by with a solid gift for your DIL. These popular boxes all have shipping issues.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

My box came yesterday. I got the cream poncho, the one I wanted. But then I got the earrings, when I wanted the necklace. However, I’m going to follow someone’s suggestion and turn them into necklaces.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauralee

The comment about turning the earrings into a necklace is the only reason I’m considering getting the winter box. 😂

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I’m actually a little torn now. I tried them on, and I actually kind of like them. I have a short bob, ending just below my earlobes. Between the short cut, and my glasses, I have always stuck to studs, since anything more just seemed like too much. But these are actually kinda cute, especially paired with the poncho. Was not expecting that.

Stacy

Hi! I received the cream poncho, would anyone want to trade for a different color? Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

PudgeKat

I got the gray poncho and earrings- looking to swap for necklace and a different color poncho. Love the other items!

Reply ButtonReply

Geanna

I got the necklace and want the earrings. I would love to trade. I posted the necklace in the swap section.

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie Zimmett

If you’re interested in the cream poncho, I’d love to trade!

Reply ButtonReply

ek

I’ve got the cream poncho if you want to trade.

Reply ButtonReply

Becca S

I know this means little, but FedEx shows my box as weighing 2 lbs. Anyone else?

Reply ButtonReply

Alyce

1.9 lbs 🎄

Reply ButtonReply

Gigi

how does the jade roller feel and look? Does it seem cheapy? I got one in my fff winterbox it was awful.

Reply ButtonReply

Sonia

The roller is cheap! It broke the moment I took it out of the box!! I am upset. I gave my FFF one to my daughter because I though this was going to be better. Now I have none ! The earplugs are a disaster. The planner is ok. This is just not the box for me. Already unsubscribed.

Reply ButtonReply

Daniela

I think the whole point is for the planner cover lines to not be pin straight. I enjoy this much better. And I like the wrapping paper as well. I think I might order!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Any ideas on when it is going to ship? Looks like they are having shipping issues. I’d like the wrapping paper about right now.

Reply ButtonReply

Alyce

I’ve never had shipping issues in two years. Live in Colorado. CS has also been responsive. Due to receive my box today. Happy Unboxing to all! 🎄

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

Mine is already on its way. I’m stunned.

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I’ve been subscribed to Causebox for a few years and never had any issues with shipping, sounds like I’m lucky!

Lauralee

I just got an email from Causebox with spoilers that included Luna Nectar eyeshadow palette and cream blush. Anyone see that in their box?

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

Hmmm. Would be nice if paying subscribers got their boxes first. Just saying….

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle

I love the idea of using the facial steam in the bath. I know with other facial steams, I’ve read that you can bottle up the water afterwards and use it as a facial toner/refresher. Knowing that there are other uses makes me feel better about this product. I like my skin care routine to be quick and simple. The steam idea just seems to cumbersome to use regularly.

Reply ButtonReply

Becca S

How is the quality of the earbuds?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Totally forgot to talk about quality! Thank you for the reminder. Just updated the post. The sound is good, not great, for music. I’m using them for listening to podcasts while I do errands, and they are perfect for that. Hope that helps!

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

Oh these are the same selections I made for my box- cranberry poncho and necklace. I’m so excited to get mine! The shipper has been created but it’s still in pending status.

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

I can’t wait to get my box! Hope I get the same poncho. I’m not sure about the detox stuff. If it smells good I might set it out as potpourri. Can’t see myself steaming my face. Everything else is a win win!

Reply ButtonReply

lex

I love the curation, but the planner…
It may be just me, but that grid on the cover not being aligned is driving me crazy! It would have been awesome if it were some asymmetric pattern.

Reply ButtonReply

DawnS

Hahahaha! I was just thinking….was that hand drawn, it doesn’t look even! It would drive me insane to look at daily 🙂
I do find it funny how there is no real comment on the wrapping paper, very diplomatic since it is not very attractive in my personal opinion lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Molly

It’s supposed to look freehand as a stylish pattern. I love the planner. It’s my favorite item in the box!

Noelle

Oh that was already ripped apart previously. I forget if it was here or on Instagram, but now I can’t not see Mr. Hanky in that pattern.

Pamela

Lol, you probably just drove a whole bunch of other people crazy by pointing that out. 😂
