Elevita November 2018 Review

Elevita November 2018 - Bag

Once again, everything arrived in this lovely cotton drawstring bag! Such a nice bonus!

Elevita November 2018 - Booklet

This is the letter I received in my package this month, detailing the contents. I especially appreciate the detail it provides about the artisans who created this month's handicrafts. It gives it such a special, personal touch!

Elevita November 2018 - Trivet

Elevita November 2018 - Trivet 2

Trivet, Philippines

What a unique trivet! It's made of seed pods! Wow! This was made in the Philippines by an elderly couple. The husband is new to this handicraft, but he joined his wife after he became too old for the tough physical labor of construction work. They slice the seed pods and then weave them together. It's so cool looking!

Elevita November 2018 - Ornament

Ornament, Peru

It's a dried gourd! Another really unusual inclusion in this month's box! It's beautiful, though. It was hand painted by artisans in Peru.

Elevita November 2018 - Necklace

Elevita November 2018 - Necklace 2

Elevita November 2018 - Necklace 3

Elevita November 2018 - Necklace 4

Necklace, Phillippines

Elevita usually features beadwork from one particular artisan from the Philippines every month, so I was surprised to see a different artisan featured this month! I am glad they are sharing the wealth. I love the combination of gunmetal and pearl on this necklace! It's really pretty!

The Verdict: Elevita is awesome! I really appreciate everything they do to help global artisans, and I love feeling like I'm a part of that. This month's items were all great! I can't often find values for the items Elevita sends, but I always feel like the value far outstrips the cost of the box. $30 for these lovely items is a steal!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, Sign up by the 18th to get the current month's box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $30 with free shipping, which means that each of the 3 items in the box has an average cost of $10.

I loved this month’s box! I would have paid $30 for that gourd ornament alone, it’s so beautiful! And I love the seed trivet too. The cotton bags are also great – I’m using the ones I’ve saved from previous months to wrap my Christmas gifts this year.

Great idea for the bags. They’re beautiful! I’m using lots of my sub boxes to wrap gifts but I still have to wrap them.
