Loved + Blessed “Purpose” December 2018 Review
Each box includes a theme card on the inside of the front lid of the box. This month’s theme is “Community” and is all about creating, being connected to and leaning on a group of family and friends who listen to, love, support and celebrate each other through life’s ups and downs. I’m blessed to have such a community and recognize the importance of having people who are in your corner at all times. This card describes the theme in detail and is intended to be a keepsake and serve as a visual reminder of the importance of community.
The information card describes the items in this month’s box and their intended purpose. It also encourages you to read more on the Loved + Blessed blog. The back of the card invites you to fellowship with Loved + Blessed in their private Facebook group. It also highlights the charitable cause supported this month.
Mini Poster – Find Your Tribe
In line with the theme of the box, this mini poster encourages you to find your tribe and love them hard! It’s about deepening existing and fostering new friendships to build a community of people who are “your kind of crazy”. My tribe is certainly my kind of crazy and I love them dearly!
Reminder Sticker – Go Together
This month sticker reads "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." This African proverb is a reminder of the benefits of working together and partnering toward a greater goal. This concept is carried forward in many aspects of our lives. In business, it’s called “relational thinking”. What’s the good of accomplishing a goal when in the end, all you feel is disconnected and on your own?
Reminder Gift & Encouragement Kit – 2 Pen Pal Sets
At Loved + Blessed, reminders gifts are intended for you to remind and reinforce the month's topic. Encouragement kits are meant to be shared to pass along encouragement to others. This month, 2 Pen Pal Sets are included in the Loved + Blessed box - one to keep and one to send to someone else. Each set has four white cards with matching envelopes, four blue cards with matching envelopes, and a pen.
The idea is that you would choose someone to exchange cards with. Love + Blessed offers some suggestion on how you might go about this. You can send a card and they respond until all cards are used, you can set specific dates to mail each other cards or the cards can be sent at random so receiving a card is a surprise. I like the random option best. I also think these cards can be used to send handwritten notes to people in your tribe - to love on them, uplift them in times of need and celebrate their special occasions.

This verse is about fellowship, coming together and really valuing the friendships you have. I liken it to going to a party. The location is perfect, the atmosphere is nice and the food looks delicious. All of this you enjoy and appreciate but what you're really waiting for is for your friends to arrive. You want to see them, chat about life, get and give advice and spend quality time together. This is the real joy of the situation. This is why you went to the party in the first place.
Monthly Blog Post and Workbook
Each box includes a card (not pictured) that contains the information and password for accessing the monthly blog and workbook. This members-only content includes access to a library of resources, special events, and private sales. The blog further delves into the month’s theme and the workbook is truly impressive. There is a lesson along with journaling prompts and activities for each week. I find a lot of value in this member exclusive content.
Private Facebook Group – Loved and Blessed Ladies
The private Facebook group offers a space to connect with other Loved + Blessed subscribers for fellowship and discussion. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch one of the live sessions in the upcoming weeks.
Verdict: I love it! I really appreciate the thought and vision that goes into each box. I love how the focus of the month is carried throughout all the items included in the box, especially the scripture. The cards in the Pen Pal Sets are beautifully designed. I would love the option to purchase more! They are my favorite items in this month's box. The online workbook is awesome and really valuable. And, I’ve already found inspiration through some of the posts on the private Facebook page. This box cost $19.99 with free shipping making it a fairly inexpensive box. I definitely think Loved + Blessed is worth the price and more.
