Monthly Box of Food and Snacks is a new monthly snack box from thatdailydeal.com:
Get an assortment of delicious, brand name snacks and food delivered to straight to your doorstep every month for one low price! Almost everything you receive will be full sized items with well know brand names. Includes a variety of snacks from granola bars, chips, cereals, etc. A lot will even be organic! Please note, this box is an insanely good deal, so some best by dates could be just passed or about to pass or they could even have a year left on them. If you are a frugal shopper you understand that best by dates are arbitrary and the packaged foods we will be sending are perfectly fine after the best by dates. Items that could potentially melt will only be included in the cooler months. You may receive multiples of some items, but we will always send a good variety each month.
Some things to consider: Have a big family to feed? Feel free to order multiples, but keep in mind that it might result in doubling up on the exact same products or you could get completely different products. It will vary from month to month. Received something you aren’t interested in? Give back to your community by donating the unwanted items. Have someone you want to send a care package to like a student in college or a grandparent? Let us do the work for you by shipping this box directly to them!
Each box has a huge variety for all sorts of snack preference: sweet, salty (or both), spicy or healthy.

Monthly Box of Food and Snacks December 2018 Review
Boom Chicka Pop Cheddar Cheese Popcorn, 4.5 oz – Buy a 3-pack for $7.95
150 Calories │ 10 g Fat│ 14g Carbs │ 3g Protein (per ¼ cup) – Expires Jan 20, 2019
I got this in my last box from Monthly Food and Snack and wouldn’t mind if it came in every box – it’s a hit in this house and my favorite cheddar popcorn out there.
Annie’s White Cheddar Bunny Tail Puffs, 4.3 oz - Retail Value $3.22
160 Calories │ 10 g Fat│ 17g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 1 cup) – Expires Dec 8, 2018
These were not a favorite in our household. They were like Cheetohs Puffs but in white cheese. The kids have a bunch of sleepovers, I am sure they will not go to waste!
Whoppers Vanilla Milkshake, 10 oz
200 Calories │ 7g Fat│ 32g Carbs │ <1g Protein (per 18 pieces) – Best By November 2018
While I have never personally really loved whoppers due to their super-rich flavor, my kids do and they loved these! I think I will put these with pretzels and Chex-mix and make some sort of trail mix. I was unable to find these online.
Jack Link’s Beef Sticks, .35 oz 10 Count – Retail Value $2.98
130 Calories │ 11g Fat│ 2g Carbs │ 6g Protein– Best By February 4, 2019
These are a really great, quick sack with a punch of protein. I like to grab one of these for a quick snack occasionally and love that the ones I received this month are individually wrapped.
Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch (Caramel), 1.4 oz – Buy 6.3 oz for $2.98
190 Calories │ 11g Fat│ 24g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Best By January 2019
I’ve seen these and have always wanted to try them but never reached for them, so I was pretty excited to get them in this month’s box. I love Hershey’s chocolate bars, plain or with almonds, so I figured I would really like these. They were good, but not a favorite. Caramel is just so, so sweet!.
Larabar in Peanut Butter Cookie, 1.7 oz – Buy a Box of 5 for $5.29 (found here for $5.00)
220 Calories │ 12g Fat│ 23g Carbs │ 6g Protein – Best By Nov 27, 2018
I REALLY wanted to love these, I just didn’t. I have never had dates before, they’ve always intimated me, but the thought of a bar with just three ingredients (dates, peanuts and sea salt) really appealed to me, as did the 6g of protein. As soon as I bit into the bar, I knew we weren’t a fit. My husband really liked it though so they are still a household win!
Ritz Crisp & Thins Salt & Vinegar, 1.7 oz – Get 7.1 oz for $2.98 or a 2 pack for $5.78
210 Calories │ 7g Fat│ 34g Carbs │ 3g Protein – Best By December 11, 2018
I got a different flavor of these in my last box so I was pleasantly surprised to get these in salt & vinegar. I’ve not yet broken into these, but I am excited to try them.
Jalapeno Cheddar Combos, 6.3 oz – Exclusive Flavor Unknown Value
140 Calories │ 7g Fat│ 18g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Best Before April 2019
As soon as I saw these, I knew my son would love them. He loves anything jalapeno & convenient. One bag has already been consumed – its been 2 days – and the other one is on borrowed time. These are a definite win!
Epic Performance Bars in Peanut Butter Chocolate, (4) 1.87 oz bars – Buy a Box of 9 for $18.99
210 Calories │ 8g Fat│ 25g Carbs │ 12g Protein – Best Before December 31, 2018
Man, these bars pack protein at 12 grams a bar! Another one I really wanted to love--- but those dates. The bar is also insanely sticky and stuck to my teeth with just one bite. While I didn’t love them as much as I hoped, my husband did, so they won't be wasted.
Reese’s Popped Snack Mix, 4 oz – Buy an 8 oz bag for $3.99
130 Calories │ 4.5g Fat│ 22g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Best By November 2018
It's funny, I was literally just talking to my husband about Reese’s peanut butter cups hours before this arrived. I used to have an obsession with Reese’s and think I burnt myself out on them, so when I got this I kinda thought ‘aw, man.’ But when I opened them up, I really enjoyed them, especially the popcorn and pretzels with the Reese’s.
Strawberry Cheesecake, 1.4 oz – Buy 24 Bars for $22.57
210 Calories │ 14g Fat│ 20g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Expires March 31, 2019
I love strawberry cheesecake. I love chocolate. I did not like this candy though! Same with my daughter and husband. But my son loved it and devoured it so I am glad that someone ate it and it didn’t go to waste!
Salted Caramel, 1.4 oz – Buy a Box of 24 $28.64
190 Calories │ 11g Fat│ 24g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Expires May 31, 2019
This one was super filled with caramel. As soon as I took a bite, it even tasted a little like butterscotch, but I was the only one who got that flavor. No one really liked this flavor so it did, unfortunately, go to waste. I am happy that we were sent these in multiple flavors to really try.
Fiber One in Strawberry Cheesecake (5) 1.35 oz bars – Buy a 10-pack Value Pack for $4.98
150 Calories │ 6g Fat│ 24g Carbs │ 2g Protein – Expires December 13, 2018
I have never invested in Fiber One bars before despite the many times passing them in the store, so when I saw this I was pretty excited to try it. As soon as I opened it and saw its pretty presentation, I got more excited. It was pretty delicious and I will be buying more.
Pixy Stix Filled Cherry Candy Cans (9) – Starting Retail Price - $11.99
60 Calories │ 0g Fat│ 15g Carbs │ 0g Protein – Expires December 13, 2018
Candy Canes! It is a Christmas tradition to get a box each of candy canes to put on the tree and these are the ones I grab. I love the flavor and the pixy candy within. I am also so happy that we didn’t get traditional style candy canes. I was unable to find this candy cane online at major stores (just wholesale stores), but Amazon had some from numerous sellers, which I linked. I did visit Wal-Mart and they had some in store, just not online.
Googly Eye Bag Chip – Retail Value $4.99
This was the first non-food item I have received (although it is only my second box) but it is associated with food and I think it is adorable. They are the perfect eye clip for goodies. I have mastered the art of folding chip bags to where they don’t open and go stale but the idea of having a chip clip makes it so much easier to seal and save.
Verdict: Monthly Box of Food and Snack is such a cool box for those who love to snack and seek new snacks. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially to those who really don’t favor grocery shopping. I personally hate grocery shopping and only get what I need and always neglect to get some snacks, so this box is a good fit for me! This month’s box had a fair share of sweets and some high protein snacks. I do hope to see some sour candies in the future though.
To Wrap Up:
