Dolly Wink Eyeliner - Estimated Value $11.74?

This is a pretty standard black liquid felt-tipped eyeliner. The brand is designed by Tsubasa Masuwaka, one of Japan's most famous supermodels. It was waterproof, super black, didn't come off with extensive rubbing, and passed a wet test. It did come off easily with my makeup remover wipes though, which is always appreciated. I am not someone who generally wears eyeliner but I could tell this one would be very easy to apply due to its flexible felt tip and high pigmentation. While I couldn't find this product with the exact same packaging, I did find something that is likely the same product with a different look here.

Sakura Lovely Rose Toner

I always have a wide assortment of tones in my arsenal because they are great for giving your finished makeup a dewy look when used sparingly. They are also super refreshing in the summer if you store one in the fridge. This one is made from Japanese hot spring water and has rose and rosemary essences which give it a pleasant and very light scent. It was very hydrating and felt great under my daily moisturizer.

Lucky Wink Cat Paw Face Massagers - Retail Value $10.95

I cannot handle this product. I have never in my life seen anything like this and I started giggling as soon as I saw them in the box. These silicone cat paws are meant to be used as face massagers, and each fits over two fingers. The booklet suggests massaging for one minute per day in upward motions from your chip up to your cheekbones. While I will never use these, they absolutely brought me joy and I plan on gifting them to a cat crazy friend who will appreciate them even more.

No Make No Life December 2018 honey sheetmask No Make No Life December 2018 honey sheetmask back

Yuzu Honey Facemask

I am a sheet mask addict and I have used masks from so many different brands and with so many scents and flavors. This one was a total dud for me. It could have used about double the amount of serum and the mask itself was too thick and did not contour to my face. I actually removed it within about 2 minutes and threw it away because I was really frustrated with it. The honey would have been great for my skin, but sadly the delivery was sub-par.

No Make No Life December 2018 blotting paper No Make No Life December 2018 blotting paper back No Make No Life December 2018 blotting paper detail

Flower Petal Rain Blotting Paper

I can never have enough blotting paper. Even though my skin is dry, by about mid-day I always have at least some shine in my t-zone and since I prefer a matte look these little sheets come in handy! This booklet has about 50 sheets and fits easily into my purse. The cherry blossom illustration on the front is very pretty!

Verdict: One of the things I love about the No Make No Life Box is that it always includes products that are only found in Japanese or Korean beauty. Even if I don't adore the item, I view it as a way to learn more about products I would never ever encounter here in the States. I absolutely loved the toner this month and already have stashed the blotting sheets in my purse. The cat paws will go to a dear friend who will be over the moon for them. While I don't generally use eyeliner, I found this one to be a good quality and even if the sheet mask was (in my opinion) terrible, the rest of the box was really enjoyable and well curated.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Wonder if the silicone paw massagers could be used as molds for glycerin soap, LOL.

Or, use them to massage a cat!

I checked inside and sadly the little paws wouldn’t allow for a mold. It would have been so cute though!

Those are definitely some gorgeous blotting papers, but bummer about the sheet mask not working.
