November 2018 POP In A Box Review
My November shipment featured 5 different franchises (6 if you count Jurassic World apart from Jurassic Park).
Treebeard - Lord Of The Rings
This is new to the POP line, but it's a real throwback to those epic movie moments from the early 2000s LOTR trilogy.
Treebeard had one of the best cameo appearances in the trilogy - don't you wish there was a variant with a hobbit on top?
Owen Grady - Jurassic World
I received two pops from the Jurassic-universe. From Jurassic World, we get Owen - while this is a pretty basic POP sculpt, the heroes of this line are most definitely the dinosaurs - especially that Indoraptor POP.
Dr. Ian Malcon - Jurassic World
How don't I have this POP yet? Well, at least now I do - and it give me an excuse to include the ian Malcom laugh video:
With Jeff Goldblum being a Pittsburgh native, naturally we pulled this POP out of the group to displya around the office.
I watched a little bit of Pee-Wee's Playhouse when I was a kid, but I was much more into the movies - either way, I'm excited to get my first Pee-Wee POP. Any type I think of the movies, I can't escape seeing Large Marge!
X-Men Colossus
One of my favorite X-Men characters since I was little was Colussus. I used to try and draw him all the time (never succesfully), so I have a little spot in my heart for the character and own a few Colossus statues, too. This POP line is kind of cool - it's the characters from Deadpool 2, but in their comic form.
Davos Seaworth - Game Of Thrones
My final POP is Davos from Game of Thrones. Finally - with 2019 just around the corner - we will get the final season of Game of Thornes that will hopefully answer all of the fan theories.
Verdict: I've been receiving a really good mixture of POPs over the past few months, so I've been happy with this subscription. I haven't done a great job of keeping up with updating my collection on their site, though I haven't received a duplicate just yet. One wish for this - I wish they'd auto update the POPs they send, or that I buy from their site, as 'owned' in my collection automatically.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? There are no monthly themes and the POPs are a mystery, so your box will be different than what I receive. Your subscription also starts at the time of order.
