When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Scott. It explains why he chose the items he picked for me.

This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $488. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $117.60. That's a deep discount!

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Review November 2018 - Mixed Media Sweater FrontWantable Style Edit Subscription Review November 2018 - Mixed Media Sweater Side Closer

Mixed Media Sweater by Design History - Cost to Keep $88

I really like the color of this sweater, it's such a beautiful, deep green! It is also a nice quality sweater, comprised of a cotton knit blend on the top and a crisp cotton faux under layer at the hem. Otherwise, though, this sweater is not for me. I have an aversion to things you might label "preppy" - it's just not my personal style. I also prefer more of an open neckline.

Compression Jegging by Curve Appeal - Cost to Keep $68

Compression is understating it! I'm not gonna lie, I could barely breathe in these! I guess they run small? With jeggings, I expect them to be a little less giving than leggings, but they should still have lots of stretch. These do not really have much stretch, which I guess is what makes them compression. It's cool, though, I am not really in the market for green jeggings anyway.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Review November 2018 - Crew Neck Dolman Top Front

Crew Neck Dolman Top by W. by Wantable - Cost to Keep $59

I guess I need to contact my stylist and tell him to make a note to stop sending me dolman style tops. This one is a really pretty color of deep teal, made of a super soft cotton jersey knit. But, dolman tops are just the wrong shape for me. The area from my waist to my thighs is my most problematic, so having a top that fits tightly there does not work for me. I love the way a dolman looks on a person who has the right shape for it, but unfortunately, I am just not one of those people.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Review November 2018 - Alissa Denim Jacket Front

Alissa Denim Jacket by Dear John - Cost to Keep $78

This is a nice quality denim jacket! Especially for the price! It is a great color and cut, too. I already have about four denim jackets, though, so I don't really need another one right now.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Review November 2018 - Knit Top With Stripe Ribbing Front

Knit Top With Stripe Ribbing by Love & Legend - Cost to Keep $59

I always try to stay positive about my reviews and to understand why something might have been chosen for me, and I always try everything whether I think it will work or not. Having said that, this might be my least favorite garment I have ever received in a subscription box! The style (again, "preppy") with the red and white stripes is not my thing at all. It is too long also, and although I am short and have short legs, I am long waisted, so tops that are too long are not okay. It's also ribbed, so it's not so much that it's too tight, it's just too clingy. Additionally, the sleeves are too long and the overall cut is just really wrong for me. Let's move on.

Raglan Sleeve Color Block Pullover by Fate - Cost to Keep $68

Now, THIS I Like! The cut is flattering, and the neutral colors will go with anything. And it's not too preppy, even for colorblocked. It's a super soft acrylic blend, and it has that warm and fuzzy feeling. It is also really comfortable.

These are the exact same jeggings as above except in a different color. Oddly, these fit a little better, but they are still not ideal.

The Verdict: I really usually love my Wantable Style Edit! Having said that, this was not my favorite month. in fact, it was maybe my least favorite package from Wantable Style Edit. The only thing I am keeping is the gray sweater. Everything else was a miss for me. So, I went to the website and made extensive notes on why I am returning everything else, along with some notes to my stylist about what I would like to see in future packages. Next month's review will speak to how well those notes were received because I feel like the stylist's ability to interpret the subscriber's wishes/needs is a huge part of a styling service. Here's hoping next month is better!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $488.00. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $370.40 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s a savings of about 24%. The average price per piece is $69.71.

I got the same Green Mixed Media Sweater by Design History and loved it. I added it from the stream. Even though the high neckline is not my favorite either with large bust. It paired well with girlfriend Jean’s and some booties. But everything else in my box was kind of a bust. I’m 36, size 16 and I felt some of the items they sent me were matronly. I actually asked for some nice compression leggings for travel and they completely ignored.

Honestly, the whole box should’ve went back. That gray sweater is not worth tge retail price.

The sleeves on the Love & Legend top are just……. strange.

I usually like what you get from Wantable, but this was a complete miss. The clothes just didn’t do anything for you, and I’ve seen so much that you wear so well. I’m glad you found something to keep!
