Busy Bee Stationery is a monthly subscription box that offers stationery items that are themed. This month, I did not receive the card insert that introduced the August theme, however, it reminds me of last months theme, Succulent Love.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.

Busy Bee Stationery December 2018 Review
Each month we are presented with a card that introduces the months theme. December’s Busy Bee theme is Winter Wonderland!
Holographic Pencil Pouch – Retail Value $9.99
As soon as I opened my box, this item stood out the most – it is so pretty!
It has blues, purple and a bit of pink and a colorful tassel on the zipper.
Here’s a picture of the inside; it looks exactly like the outside. This zipper pouch measures 8.3 inches by 3.1 inches and is the perfect size for pens or makeup.
Masking Sticker Set in Solid Colors – Retail Value $6.59
This was an item I have never seen before and had no idea what purpose it served, so I went to a trusted source: YouTube. Its just decorative tape in different colors (there are also different pattern pouches too). The tape has different sizes on the sheet so they can be used for different purposes; there are even circle stickers on the bottom of each sheet. One YouTuber used these in their planner, I thought that was a pretty cool idea.
Snow and Cocoa Washi Tape – Discontinued Product
I loved this set of washi tapes from American Crafts. The set has 8 of different sizes and patterns. I genuinely cannot even pick a favorite because they are all super cute. I also really love how they aren’t the traditional Christmas green & red. Each spool has 5 yards of tape so there is 40 yards total of holiday washi tape.
This set came with 5 pens – black, blue, red, green and pink.
American Crafts Candy Shop Gel Pens – Retail Value $7.08
They wrote like your average gel pen; as you can see above, my red kinda skipped a bit, but overall they are great pens and I am pretty happy with them. And yay for getting a blue pen! I need more of these!
Squirrel Stamp – Retail Value $5.99 (Currently out of stock)
I have never seen these before and when I looked it up it seems really cool; it is not your standard stamp and really picks up more detail in the stamp. I need to get another tool though to really be able to use it.
The one I received in this box is a little squirrel with a scarf. Its cute and I am excited to try it. I don’t know if I have much use for this specific design, but it’s a good tester stamp to see if I like this style of stamps.
Pleather Bows – Unknown Retail Value (Discontinued & Out of Stock)
I really liked this item; these bows are so cute and are perfect for scrapbooking or even invitations (I genuinely enjoy making my kids birthday party invitations.)
Each one has a small adhesive strip on the back for placement.
Winter Wonderland Paper Pad – Retail Value $15.72 (Found for $12.00 here!)
I really liked this pad! It has 36 pages and 18 different paper designs. Below are a few of my most favorite:
I liked this paper for making my own gift tags for presents this year. They were original and got so many compliments.
Verdict: I like Busy Bee as it introduces me to crafting item’s I have never thought of buying. This month it was the masking sticker set that was new to me. One thing I disliked though is a lot of the items are sold out or discontinued, so if I really love an item, I can no longer get it. That being said, Busy Bee is one of the boxes I look forward to opening every month.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will get the January box.

Value Breakdown: I received 7 items this month and could only find the value of 5 items, which totaled $45.37 which exceeds the cost of the box ($39.90) even without counting the tape or the bows.
