Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Print Chart Front

Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Print Chart Review Front

Exclusive Signed Artist Print – Listed Value $13.01(£9.99)

This artist-signed print features various Potterverse creatures in a medley of colors against a charcoal grey background. I like the artistic take and the way the colors were used in this print, and I think it would garner a lot of attention wherever this was hung up.

Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Niffer Keychain Open Review Front

Exclusive Fantastic Beasts Niffler Keychain - Listed Value $6.50 (£4.99)

Keychains are pretty common with this subscription, and this little niffler (the false gold and real gold sniffing friends) is a good size to help you be able to find your keys without being too bulky.

Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Head Box Side FrontGeek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Head Open Front

Exclusive Wizardry Shrunken Head – Listed Value $13.01 (£9.99)

This is quite a unique inclusion. I think devoted Potter fans will love this Knights Bus character and anyone who doesn't know the reference is going to be very concerned with your hobbies if they walk in and see this on your dresser.

Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Poster

Exclusive Love Potion Print – Listed Value $6.50 (£4.99)

I am not quite sure why this is called a love potion print when it looks like the kind of flyer that would have been hanging around Hogwarts during the Tri-Wizard Tournament, but I think anyone who is a major fan of the fourth year at Hogwarts will find this neat.

Exclusive Noble Wand – Listed Value $26.04 (£19.99)

This is different! I think all the really devoted Harry Potter fans would love to have a wand of their very own, but some of those officially licensed ones can be pretty expensive. I think this is a great alternative (and this is officially licensed, too, just not one you’re going to find for sale at the Wizarding World). This is plastic carved with wooden details and according to the tag my wand is made with English Oak, Unicorn Hair, and is 13 ½ inches long.

We also received an insert about the Noble Wands company.

Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Shirt Close Up

Geek Gear World of Wizardry December 2018 - Gear Shirt Fornt

Exclusive Wizardry T-Shirt – Listed Value $13.01 (£9.99)

I think my favorite part about this subscription is knowing that every month I am going to get a new Harry Potter-themed t-shirt that is officially licensed. I will never turn down a black t-shirt, either, so I am happy with this month's selection. The design is screen printed onto a 100% cotton Gildan soft-style shirt.

Verdict: This was an interesting box- if you are big into Harry Potter I imagine this is right up your alley. I am especially happy with my T-shirt and the artist print included this month, and I think I will pass along the shrunken head to someone a little more hardcore in the fandom then I. Value-wise, I think you’re getting a great assortment of officially licensed gear- I just wonder if you really have enough storage and wall space to consistently subscribe to this box based on the number of knick-knacks and prints sent.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, order by 02/20 to receive the February box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $31.81 per month + $7.63 US shipping cost, which means that each of the 6 items (not counting the recipe cards) in the box has an average cost of $6.57.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
