Check out all of my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus reviews!

This box also comes with a card detailing the items included:

Now, on to the items!

Vasanti Cosmetics Matte Crush in Berry First Kiss - Retail Value $23

This lip crayon is highly pigmented with a matte finish. I didn't find it to be too drying, and it wears down nicely. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner - Retail Value $22

I know a lot of readers are feeling Eyeko eyeliner overload in subscription boxes, so I'm guessing this wasn't super popular. I personally prefer a felt tip liquid liner over a pencil liner, and I'm always happy to get more, so I was fine with this inclusion.

The pigment is great, and it goes on smoothly. (Swatched in lower photo.)

Violet Voss Fun Sized Eyeshadow Palette HG - Retail Value $18

LOVE this palette! The mini size is still more than enough colors, the pigment is great, the shades blend well, and it's a good mix of shimmers and mattes!

Here is the palette swatched beneath the lip color and the eyeliner:

Hanalei Sugar Lip Scrub - Retail Value $25

This is a lovely formula - it's gentle sugar scrub, lightly scented, and super moisturizing.

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara - Retail Value $24

I really like this mascara! It's more of a natural look than a high-drama mascara, but it gave my lashes a lot of length and separation - I love it for an everyday look that could feasibly pass as no-makeup.

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum - Retail Value $45

This serum is light, absorbs quickly, and can double as a makeup primer. I've been using it in the morning as my serum/primer, and I love it. The scent is light and lovely, and it feels great on my skin, too. (Plus I appreciate that they Hey Honey brand is ingredient conscious.)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $157. I think that's great for a $25 box! I discovered a few new favorites (mascara, serum, palette), and I appreciate that we got a bonus 6th item this month!

I really want this bag. So I actually emailed ipsy yesterday asking about why people I know who are new to Ipsy get it, and those of us who are longer term customers don’t. They emailed me back and were nice but said I wasnt even on the waiting list, because I had a yearly subscription. I would have thought longer time customers and yearly subscribers would be first, anyway. I did get an email about it before it launched and I thought I was on list, but apparently not. So I wanted to let people who yearly sub know that, because that isn’t said on their website FAQs. It only says “you need to have an active glam bag membership.”

Box twins! I was really, really happy this month. I love and prefer felt tipped pen liners- All I use aside from on my water line. I love and will use everything in this box aside from the hey honey, and I have a good friend who loves all the fancy skin care that I don’t!

I wanted to try that so bad and was supposed to get it.they finally answered my email after a week and 2 emails to them, just to find the hey honey is oos.they said they would credit my dc $10.and send me 2 free gifts.i appreciated this, but still wanted my hello honey!.

This was probably my favorite month so far (I thought last months was). I received the palette , hey honey serum, murad moisturizer, lip crayon, ofra highlite and the hair product. Every single item impressed me.

I received the VV palette, Ofra – Rodeo Drive, Murad Oil, Hey Honey Serum, Briogeo leave in spray and the Vasanti lip in Mauve.
I traded the Briogeo spray for the Tokyo Milk perfume and now I have the perfect (for me) box! I’m very happy with GBP, so far each month! (I was able to get their first in Oct, and all since)
Keep it up Ipsy! It’s been so nice to get different products (and brands) than what I was getting in Boxy. Great value too, especially getting items I will actually use!

I’m thrilled with Ipsy Plus 🙂 I’m using everything in this box too. I got the Murad Oil, Hey Honey, Ofra Highlighter, Briogeo Conditioner, Vasanti in Mauve & the Violet Voss palette. It’s my first time trying Hey Honey, Briogeo, Violet Voss and Vasanti products. I’m loving them and will be purchasing. I’m more than happy to be getting a 6th product instead of the bag.

Box twins! I put my Muraf and Hey Honey up for sale though. Too many irrataing ingredients to put on my face.

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

The only thing i would’ve changed would be the eyeliner for the perfume lol. Otherwise i got the darker lip, the palette, briogeo, murad moisturizer, hey honey serum so I’m decently impressed.

Box twins!

Oh, man! I signed up for GBP via the MSA waitlist, & got the first (non-influencer) bag that went out in October. In late September, I signed up for another Ipsy account, since I also wanted to keep the regular glam bag.

I’ve been enjoying the regular glam bag a LOT more (I even skipped the January GBP, & I’m still happy with that decision), so I’ve been thinking about canceling GBP, & I just got the ability to receive the regular glam bag in addition to GBP on my original, years-old account, so I’ve been thinking about canceling the new, months-old account, too!

… I just got the invite to try Glam Bag Plus on the new account.

(They’re still using products that have never been in GBP to advertise it, which is irritating.)

So frustrating!
I agree with you 100%.
They sent influencers a different box then us, I also got the first box which wasn’t bad. Deceiving yes, but not horrible products. So I said ok, let’s see the next box, that box was ok, then this box came and I was completely disappointed.
Here I’ve signed up to get full sized products, but was sent a “Fun sized” eyeshadow palette.
Okay, THEN the nice, bigger/ better bag was promised THEN they snatched that away…
so for $25 I got a cheap lip scrub.
A horrible mascara, an Ofra Highlighter (that I was excited for) but it arrived crumbled all over the place. Completely not usable. A disgusting nail polish bottle sized perfume, and a dollar tree looking lip crayon on a color no one would wa t. Haha
This box had me wanting a refund, even products I don’t love I’m like mehhh it’s a subscription box, win some you lose some. But this box, I genuinely felt ripped off. I wanted a refund, to cancel my subscription and get a 3rd Boxycharm.
After speaking to customer service, they offered to replace my highlighter and offer an extra item. I don’t know that it makes up for this horrible/ overpriced disappointment.
But I think I’ll give it one last month.
I went on here to see others opinions.

Totally agree! I cancelled after the initial bait and switch. I had to file a claim with my credit card after Ipsy refused to admit their shady business tactics and cut off all communication. I won the claim and was fully refunded.

I got the palette ,dead sexy perfume ,eyeliner, hey honey and the vasanti lip crayon in its your mauve. Pretty happy with the box . The perfume is a bit heavy for me but not awful

I dont know why, but my IGBP just shipped last night. Why does mine ship so late? Seems everyone else already has there bags and mine is barely shipping.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

I am in the same boat! I am still waiting for my glam bag to start moving.

Reply ButtonReply

Natalia

I had that issue for several months, coupled with delays in customer service response time. I love the bag, i think it’s the best beauty subscription out there, but it definitely teaches me patience lol. I guess the trick is to manage your expectations and expect it by the end of the month if not later (i got my November bag in December 😳🙄). The explanation i received was that when you redeem products for points it automatically bumps you to the end of the shipping list. Not fun but what can you do.

Joy

Same. But i signed up at the end of the month. I just thought it coincided with my sign up date. Who knows but im always happy to see it.

I got the same box except the Murad moisturizer instead of the lip scrub. I had been hoping for the lip scrub as soon as I saw the spoiler last month. The moisturizer is a nice one, but I have so many. I have never tried VV before, but after trying this palette, I want it all! The liner was the only miss for me this month. I know the October one was a different Eyeko liner, but I don’t use black liner enough to need a new one 3 months later.

Emmy Lou

I got the same box but with the Murad too. I thought it was exceptional! Quality items, incredible value. Thank you Ipsy for doing a much better job of tailoring the boxes to our preferences.

I didn’t mean to get this month’s box. I signed up last month, thiking I would get it. (Silly me.) I went to cancel but saw that I had already been charged for it.

Turns out I’m glad I got it! I LOVE the palette. I was a little concerned since some of the reviews of the Fun Size palettes said that they thought VV used a different formulation for the Fun Size. Well I’d be shocked if they did because that formulation is fantastic! And I am seriously picky when it comes to eye shadow formulas.

I received the same products as Liz except a Murad moisturizer instead of the lip scrub, which – yay since I have a ton of lip scrubs and I’m excited to try this Murad product. I was surprisingly impressed by the Vasanti lippie – really smooth application, not drying at all, and pretty long lasting (I do wish the sharpener was attached though. It’s going to go missing at some point, I’m sure.) And the color (I got Mauve) is really nice on me! I, too, am bored by the eye liner, although I do much prefer liquid liners to pencils and the mascara flaked on me (most do – sigh.)

To sum up: Yay!

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon Paige

Hey! I’m kinda late seeing this, but the sharpener was in the bottom of the box. Hope you found it.

Reply ButtonReply

Alisha

I have the original palette and received the fun size one . For me the formula seems exactly the same. I love that the fun size is my tip favorites from the full size palette.

Reply ButtonReply

Janae

Got the same bag as Liz, really wish I would have gotten the Murad.

Marla

I received the Hey Honey serum and my bottle is empty. No serum inside I emailed ipsy so hopefully I will hear back from them. Bummer

My box didn’t have the liquid liner that I do have several of, at the moment, or mascara, but instead, Ofra’s Rodeo Drive (which I already have) and Briogeo Leave-In Conditioner Spray.

Pretty happy with my box, as always. The palette was great to work with last night, and lots of compliments.

I LOVED this month’s GBP! I’m so glad I was able to reverse my pause at the last minute. I got the murad oil, Hey Honey serum, Ofra highlight, the VV palette, the Vasanti lip pencil in berry first kiss and the Wander mascara (which I could live without but was #6 so I’m happy to gift it.) This was SUCH a homerun box.

Has anyone with tan/brown skin tried the VV palette yet? Not sure if I should bother. I just got the Huda new nudes and James Charles x morphe palettes so I think I have these shades covered. But if they’re super pigmented I might keep it. Advice greatly appreciated!

Box twins! I would’ve LOVED to get the lip scrub instead of the highlighter, VV palette, or lip pencil. I’ve tried tons of lip scrubs and it’s the best but too pricey to buy regularly. I would also have been super happy to get the perfume. I really didn’t appreciate the highlighter given that it’s the second one I’ve received in 3 months, I always rate them low, and my profile shows in every way that I don’t like highlighters. Plus I imagine it won’t be easy to swap since so many people have gotten these same highlighters and many didn’t want them. And I can’t sell or gift it because it came without a box, which was rather odd for a brand new high end product.

But overall I was satisfied. I REALLY appreciated receiving the two skincare items. Those alone more than justify the cost of the sub. I already have the full size VV palette from BoxyLuxe, but I will probably just use the mini and sell or swap the FS since I haven’t tried it yet.

Michelle

This was the first month of the no buy and not getting this box but honestly I only really would have wanted the palette. Nice box for $25. but nothing earth shattering. No regrets thankfully.

Really wish I would get an invitation to upgrade. Very frustrating there isn’t a way for current subscribers to get on a wait list.

Reply ButtonReply

Vicki

If you email them you can get on the wait list.

Reply ButtonReply

Julie B

How long have you been waiting? I got regular Ipsy beginning of this month, requested an upgrade to Plus, and was told last week I’ve been upgraded.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

Agree! I’d love to get Ipsy plus, this month’s looks awesome.

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

I would love the Glam Bag Plus sub but I’m tired of all the small things in regular subscription that I would have to sit through before I would get an invite.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan Marie Ferry

I used the link from mysubscriptionaddiction, signed up for the monthly $10 box, got it the first month then next month got the Glam Bag Plus. Have you tried going through the app? Customer service is lacking a little right now but it’s worth sending an inquiry..
I was supposed to get the Smith and Cult Eyeshadow palette in my December box but it was missing and I’m still waiting on it.
The Ofra highlighter in my January box came damaged or, in my opinion used, and I haven’t received a tracking number on the replacement yet. It didn’t have any type of box, there are stains on the outside of it, the inside didn’t have a plastic cover over the product and it was all over the place…. The swirls you see on a new item weren’t there…
I still think it’s by far the best monthly sub though. Much better than Boxycharm..

Reply ButtonReply

Melanie Fagan

Still no invite for me to the plus. Ridiculous. And how no quarterly bag anymore. I was ready to cancel my other subs to upgrade this one but this has gotten to the point that I may just cancel Ipsy all together for another box.

Reply ButtonReply

NikitaMarie

I’ve gotten ipsy for years now, and no invite either!! I should just cancel, and stick with Boxy and Allure…

Reply ButtonReply

Nikkim

I got the perfume, murad facial oil which is 70 dollars! Wow And the hey honey, lip pencil, palette, and highlighter. That put the value over 200 and I couldn’t be happier

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Box twins! If I didn’t already have the highlighter and the full version of the palette, I would be over the moon. But they’ll make nice gifts.

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

So jealous lol. I wanted the perfume baaaaad.

Reply ButtonReply

Bonny

Same here! I was pleased!

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha Audrey

I got the same box and very happy.

Reply ButtonReply

KimberlyB

I’m really happy to try Violet Voss eyeshadows, although I would’ve liked something with more color, but I know that’s not going to happen all that much with sub boxes. It is what it is. I wish there was a box with all colorful and/or shimmery/glittery products, like Color Curate and Medusa’s Make-Up, but with all kinds of brands. As it is, not only do I not have to buy skin care or … well, just about any beauty products! … for a couple years, but neither do a few of my friends.

Also: the bright pink boxes! I LOVE them and they’ve all been repurposed as storage boxes. My ipsy love continues.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

Did anyone else almost throw away the sharpener for the Vasanti Lip Crayon?

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

This box didn’t do anything for me even before I knew about the Eyeko, but to include a (widely detested) repeat so soon after subscription launch is just… unprofessional.

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

There are alot of new ppl to the glam bag plus for who it is not a repeat and also those of us who don’t mind it. On top of the fact that there was 6 items instead of 5 who are we to complain?

Reply ButtonReply

Twyla

I am one that actually loves getting black felt tip eyeliner, so no complaints here. I did laugh at getting liner in both my IGB and IGBP, but the travel size is perfect for my purse. I understand a sub box can’t please everyone, luckily i was happy with all but the Vasanti. It was too purple for me to wear well, but it will look great on my daughter.

So far Ipsy has had far more hits than misses for me personally. Wish i could say the same for Boxy!
