What Is Le Tote?
If you don't know about Le Tote, they're a clothing rental service that allows you to wear and hang on to clothing and accessories as long as you'd like with no commitment to buy them (although you will be charged each month, regardless of if you send your tote back to get a new one or not). If you do happen to fall in love with something, you can purchase it at a discounted rate (and I'll mention that they also have further "tote sales" at times). They offer regular and maternity subscriptions in several levels from 8-15 pieces at a time. You don't have a stylist, but their system will suggest items based on a series of questions when you first sign up and you'll also have full control to swap out anything you don't like before it ships. I usually choose ALL of my items, but Le Tote has made a few good suggestions that I've kept in the tote.

How Le Tote Works
If you're curious as to how the signup process works, I wrote a more in-depth article in October when I received my first delivery and walked through every step of the way. If you're new to Le Tote, that's a great place to start! I also wrote some tips on how to get the sizing right.

Inside, it goes over what's in your tote and all of the prices. There's often an additional tote sale price marked in red.
The back has their hashtag and email address.

This Month's Le Tote Clothing & Accessories
Last month I ended up with some stand-alone outfits from my Le Tote order, but this time I got many items I'd have to mix and match with what is already in my closet. This got me excited to flex a little bit of my imagination when shooting to pair it with things that would go well together.
The tote package I have includes three accessories. If you choose jewelry pieces, they'll come in their own baggies, inside a bubble pouch that you'll also use to return them in.
Noir Luxe Art Deco Necklace - Retail Value $36.00 (Le Tote Price $28.00)
While browsing in my tote swap (where you can swap out what Le Tote auto-picked for you), this necklace caught my eye. I originally envisioned wearing it shorter with a collared shirt because I like that look, but I didn't end up getting anything collared this month so I thought it'd be perfect to give a little sparkle to the LBD I got. This has a very vintage/art deco feel for me which normally isn't my style, but when paired with something more minimal, it balances out. The pink and black stones really pop against the antiqued brass metal.
Jessica Simpson Antique Metal Bracelet - Retail Value $28.00 (Le Tote Price $22.00)
This bracelet is unlike anything else I already own and reminds me of some cool chainmail. It has an antique look like the necklace, but not as much sparkle. Silver chains hold together hammered antique gold pieces that end up resembling a fishbone of sorts! This one is super lightweight, but ended up being sort of big and loose, so I'm not sure I'll end up wearing it all that much before sending it back.
Hayes Lashes Cuff - Retail Value $24.00 (Le Tote Price $18.00)
I immediately loved this when I saw it and tossed it into my tote. I am a big fan of the lashes pattern that has been popping up everywhere on stationery, mugs, and clothing. I'm not sure where it originated, but I like its simple design. This cuff is really thin and fits against my wrist tightly due to the flexible material it's made of. The soft metal can be pulled apart to slide on, and then pushed back together to give it the best fit. Really cute and I've already worn it a bunch.
Free People Skinny Ankle Overall, size 29- Retail Value $128.00 (Le Tote Price $110.00)
Splendid Striped Turtleneck Top, size large - Retail Value $58.00 (Le Tote Price $42.00/Tote Sale Price $21.00)
Hello and welcome to my favorite outfit the month! Both of these items are from Le Tote, and I actually ended up stealing this straight from their model who wore the same turtleneck with the overalls. I feel as snug as a bug in a rug in these overalls. They fit like a gosh darn glove and are soft and comfy. I was worried the size 29 they suggested would be too small, but they're JUST RIGHT. I love the front pocket as it's a great place to shove my phone when I'm wandering around the office, or carrying my cats to bed. I have been loving overalls a lot lately and appreciate that you can wear just about anything under them to suit the weather. The super soft turtleneck from Splendid is perfect for Winter and is actually quite long, so it's suitable for my long-torsoed ladies out there and won't pop out of the sides of the overalls.
The back of the overalls has a small triangle that the straps connect to, and there are two jeans-style back pockets. There are also belt loops on these, but I haven't worn a belt with denim in years, so I won't be using them. My favorite part is that they are skinny-legged/tapered, unlike the other pair I own that are more straight-legged.
There are two buttons on each side so you can slide them on easily but fasten them to get a nice slim fit.
The turtleneck is quite high so I can wear it up over my face when that negative wind chill temperature hits! Once I'm inside, I can fold it down so I may more easily speak to others. 😉
Here's my next outfit! I'm feeling very profesh in this one even though I don't have to dress this nice to the MSA office. I paired the black top from Le Tote with olive green J. Crew Mercantile pants I am obsessed with (and also own in black) and some suede heels.
Juicy Couture Sheer Panel Mock Blouse, size medium - Retail Value $98.00 (Le Tote Price $58.00)
I didn't notice this was Juicy Couture when I ordered it but am surprised since they are known more for their casual velour. I think this medium is actually a little bog on me and I would have liked to try a small instead. I think it would have fit a bit better. The sleeves are meant to puff out a little, but I think they're too long on me.
The back has a sheer panel that I think it really cool! Such a nice detail.
The ruffled collar is my favorite part though. I am more casual in my everyday wear but thought this has a nice professional flare to it. Kind of romantic goth, which is one of my friend Kelly's favorite styles. I think this could also be dressed down with jeans or have a blazer popped over it.
The sleeves are ruched at the cuff to give it that puff, but also feature three buttons that I luckily did not have to undo to get my hand through.
Noir Racerback Dress, size medium - Retail Value $70.00 (Le Tote Price $58.00/Tote Sale Price $21.00)
I normally try to throw at least one dress in my tote and really liked the simplicity of this LBD. I like shorter lengths on dresses but was happy to see that this one has long sleeves for the cold weather. Not much is needed here besides the sparkle of the necklace to make things more interesting and some grey suede pumps to break up the black. Alternately, I could pop on tights if this is just too short for Winter.
Boom! The back though! Not only does it have a long zipper, but it has a racer-back cut out as well. Unfortunately, I think the top of the dress overall is a little baggy and it shows from the back. I either need a bigger bust to fill it out or would need to size down which means it'd probably be too tight across my hips. Oh, the small top/big bottom woes. Instead, I'll probably just wear this with a cardigan or light jacket and no one will be the wiser!
My next outfit is seated nicely in my neutral palette safe zone. The color block cardigan is perfect to throw on over black washed jeans and a cream camisole with some black flats which can be office appropriate or comfortable enough to run errands in.
Noir Color Block Cardigan, size medium - Retail Value $82.00 (Le Tote Price $68.00/Tote Sale Price $32.00)
Honestly, this is the first item I've gotten from Le Tote that made me remember that these clothes have been worn before. Most items I get seem crisp and new even though there aren't tags attached, but this one definitely felt like it's been washed one too many times. There is some slight pilling and just has that dense feel like it was shrunk in the wash. Its drapey look is a cute take on a cardigan but seems like it should be looser and flowier. It has a starchy and stiff feel to it.
The back continues the color block look with a triangular panel in the center and darker grey sleeves. It seems a little too cropped for a size medium, if you ask me.
Another really simple outfit, using blue skinny jeans and black flat from my closet paired with the velour top from Le Tote.
Juicy Couture Smocked Velour Pullover, size medium - Retail Value $108.00 (Le Tote Price $58.00)
This was an item Le Tote picked for me, and I decided to just stick with it instead of replacing it. Sometimes I'm not very tuned into detail, and this is one of those times. I noticed the bell sleeves which I don't love, but I thought I'd give them a try since I love a good sweatshirt and thought the velour fabric made it a little less casual than cotton.
When it arrived is when I noticed the "smocking" that is clearly stated in the name. Ugh. I just don't like it at all, especially coupled with the bell sleeve. I feel like it's a weird clash of peasant-tops with activewear. Health-Boho? Blech. I can't bring myself to wear this out of the photo studio.
This is my most casual outfit! I wore my new Nike's fresh from Poshmark and my super comfy UNHhhhhh shirt from World of Drag with the Le Tote sweats. This is basically the type of thing I wear when I'm at home cleaning or binge-watching television (sans shoes).
AXS Striped Knit Sweatpant, size large - Retail Value $64.00 (Le Tote Price $54.00)
These heather grey sweats ended up being a little high on me so the drawstring waist ends up being a little bulky to have under a shirt. This means tucking in is the only way to go. If I wear a sweatshirt over this, it ends up looking not-so-flattering around my mid-section. The inside of each leg has a contrasting light grey stripe which I would normally expect on the outside of a leg. I've worn them a decent bit around the house though, which you'd probably guess if you saw the cat hair on them up close. 😉 There are no pockets though, so I probably won't wear these out of the house much. I need to put my hands somewhere!
There are zippers on the outside of the bottom of each leg to give them that sportier vibe, but sadly it makes these a little less comfy if you have your legs tucked under you on the couch and they dig into your leg.
Verdict: So there you have it. I did some casual, office friendly, dressy, and loungewear looks for you using my 10 items from Le Tote paired with what I already own. It's pretty remarkable how wide the range of clothes they have is which means there is something for everyone. As always, I liked trying a few new styles, but love that I can feel safe in my preferred neutral color palette.
To Wrap Up:
