Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. Each month they include themed collectibles and shirts that are exclusive items/variants at the time of shipment.
December's theme was Scavenge.
Please Note: This arrived a bit late – we received ours toward early January, which is only about a week late - and with the holidays, probably pretty on time. They now have this handy-dandy shipping status page to help track down what's happening across crates.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

December 2018 Loot Crate Review – Scavenge
December's “Scavenge” theme features items from Fallout, Escape from New York, Lost in Space, Bumblebee, and more.
The box is pretty darn fun this month. Pop out pieces and build Bumblebee.
I love the underside here.
It comes with a booklet that will detail the items in the box.
Part of the fun for me with Loot Crate is redeeming the digital comics since I love me some Comixology!
This month's comic is an original - which is pretty interesting. I haven't got around to reading this one just yet as I am deep into a few Batman series.
Alright - let's start with the bad. One of the Escape from New York items (the Cosplay eye patch) is totally missing from this box. It seems to be "seriously" delayed, and at the tie of this review, we have not received it.
Lost in Space Pin – Value $5?
Each month comes with a pin that is a brand, franchise, of item that revolves around the theme - this month featured Lost in Space.
Dungeons & Dragons T-shirt - Value $15?
This month's exclusive shirt is a real throwback for 80's kids like me. It features Dungeons & Dragons, but immediately reminded me of getting Donatello's weapons with the TMNT action figure - this is how it'd arrive, and you twist/snap off the weapons.
While I'm not a big D&D fan, this was fun enough as a throwback for me.
Bumblebee Pin Set - Value $15-20?
If you're into enamel pins then this month is probably speaking to you. You'll get this 3-piece Transformers pin set - I think the bug is my favorite variation.
Fallout Screen Shot Figure - Value $15-20?
This month is almost a crossover with the Fallout Crate and features a 'Fortune Finder' perk vinyl figure. There are definitely a lot of Vault Boy figures out there, but I like that this one has a more detailed base - it's fun.
Escape from New York Print - Value $10?
Lastly, you'll get an Escape from New York print (which would have gone nicely with the eyepatch!). I can remember being super excited for the Escape from LA follow up movie - but I honestly can't even remember it now.
Verdict: The shipping issues with Loot Crate have been a big downer across all of their crates. At the very least, at least now you can keep track of all of the delays and shipment schedules. If you're not worried about delays, then the box can definitely have value if it's hitting some of your favorite franchises.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, You’ll see the current them on the landing page – theme cutoffs are the 19th of each month at midnight EST.
COUPON – Save 10% off any length subscription, or $3 off month-to-month with coupon code ADDICTION or SAVE3
