Monthly Box of Food and Snacks is a new monthly snack box from thatdailydeal.com:
Get an assortment of delicious, brand name snacks and food delivered to straight to your doorstep every month for one low price! Almost everything you receive will be full sized items with well know brand names. Includes a variety of snacks from granola bars, chips, cereals, etc. A lot will even be organic! Please note, this box is an insanely good deal, so some best by dates could be just passed or about to pass or they could even have a year left on them. If you are a frugal shopper you understand that best by dates are arbitrary and the packaged foods we will be sending are perfectly fine after the best by dates. Items that could potentially melt will only be included in the cooler months. You may receive multiples of some items, but we will always send a good variety each month.
Some things to consider: Have a big family to feed? Feel free to order multiples, but keep in mind that it might result in doubling up on the exact same products or you could get completely different products. It will vary from month to month. Received something you aren’t interested in? Give back to your community by donating the unwanted items. Have someone you want to send a care package to like a student in college or a grandparent? Let us do the work for you by shipping this box directly to them!
Each box has a huge variety for all sorts of snack preference: sweet, salty (or both), spicy or healthy.

Our January 2019 Review
This month my box included this insert. It is nice to get a message from them!
Annie’s Homegrown Cinnabunnies , 10 oz – Retail Value $3.39
110 Calories │ 1 g Fat│ 24g Carbs │ 1g Protein (per ¾ cup) – Expires January 7, 2019
The first item we got was some Cinnabunnies cereal. My kids have never tried this specific brand cereal, but when they did they loved them! They were pretty yummy with a hint of cinnamon to each bite.
These are also great to put inside a trail mix for an after-school snack.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Blasted Shreds Cereal 23.2 oz – Retail Value $2.98
230 Calories │ 5g Fat│ 41g Carbs │ 6g Protein (per 2/3 cup) – Expires February 7, 2019
This was the first time I have ever seen a cereal like this. It is pretty high in protein and low in sugars at 12g.
As soon as I opened the box, I was hit with peanut butter. I don’t like shredded wheat cereal and didn’t favor this cereal (too much peanut butter for my liking), but my son liked it so at least I know it will be consumed!
Variety Pack Fruit Flavored Snacks 8 count – Buy 2 packs of 24 for $7.98
50-80 Calories │ 1-1.5g Fat│ 11-21g Carbs │ 0g Protein (per pouch) – Expires June 23, 2019
These are a hit in my home! And it's not just the kids who love them! Each snack is fruity and pretty chewy. Each box has two packs of Gushers, 2 Fruit by the Foot and 4 Fruit Roll-Ups.
Limited Edition Pumpkin Fiber One Baked Bards, 12 Count – Unknown Retail Value
90 Calories │ 2.5g Fat│ 18g Carbs │ <1g Protein (per bar) – Expires February 10, 2019
Since our first snack box, my son has been wanting more Fiber One bars and was pretty stoked to get another box.
The flavor, though, none of us were really wild about. No one in my home (or close family) eats pumpkin anything, so this was foreign to us. He tried it and liked it though, so it is still a snack win! I was unable to find these online, probably because of the limited edition flavor.
Annie’s Organic White Cheddar Popcorn, 4.4 oz – Retail Value $3.22
180 Calories │ 13g Fat│ 12g Carbs │ 3g Protein (per 2 ¼ cups) – Expires February 8, 2019
I have received cheddar popcorn of a different brand in my last two boxes (a favorite snack of mine) and was pleasantly surprised to receive white cheddar in another brand. I love popcorn, all kinds, so this is a great inclusion in this month’s box.
TGI Fridays Potato Skins, 5.5 oz – Buy 50, 1 oz snack size for $9.88
140 Calories │ 8g Fat│ 16g Carbs │ 1g Protein (per 1 oz) – Expires October 31, 2019
Yumm! We love this kind of snack here and my husband was pretty happy to receive a favorite of his since we are usually getting favorites of ours. These are crispy and full of flavor (although they do not taste like bacon or cheddar); they will not last long!
TGI Fridays Mozzarella Sticks Snack, 2.5 oz – Buy a pack of 6 here for $25.94
140 Calories │ 8g Fat│ 16g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 1 oz) – Expires November 1, 2019
These were a new snack and everyone was pretty excited to try them.
They were shaped like Cheetoh puffs and tasted similar but with parmesan cheese. They were pretty good, I would reach for a handful here and there but I do not think I will go out buy them because I am craving them.
Brach’s Milk & Dark Chocolate Bridge Mix, 11 oz – Buy a two pack here for $19.95
140 Calories │ 8g Fat│ 18g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 1/6 cup) – Expires December 1, 2018
At initial glance, I was excited for these, but when I opened them, I was less excited and more anxious. There are a variety of chocolate covered goodies in this bag: peanuts, almonds, raisins, caramels, toffee pieces, malt balls, and vanilla crème. Out of all those, I only like, and appreciate, chocolate covered peanuts or almonds, so reaching in here is like reaching into a Valentines box of chocolates – you never know what you will pull out.
Combos Sweet & Salty Caramel Pretzel, 6 oz – Retail Value $1.99
130 Calories │ 5g Fat│ 20g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 1 oz) – Expires April 2019
One thing I think I can expect in this subscription is receiving some sort of Combos flavor. Seeing a Sweet & Salty combo was a first. While I don’t like caramel too much, I was shocked that I really liked these. They didn’t have a lot of caramel taste which I appreciated. The pretzels seemed to really balance out the sweetness.
Combos Honey Sriracha, 6.3 oz – Buy a pack of 12 for $28.47
130 Calories │ 5g Fat│ 20g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per 1 oz) – Expires January 2019
This is right up my son's alley! A spicy snack and in the form of combos. When he bit into these, he seemed to like them okay. He described the middle of the snack as sweet and spicy, which hit him at once. When asked if he would pick these over his favorite hot chips at the store he said he would! I would consider these a win!
Hershey’s Cookies N Crème Popped Snack Mix, 8 oz – Buy a 3-pack for $29.54
120 Calories │ 4g Fat│ 20g Carbs │ 1g Protein (per ½ cup) – Expired December 2018
Last month, I received Reese’s version of these and loved them. While I don’t favor Hershey’s Cookies and Crème candy, I loved all the other items in this mix, especially the popcorn with a drizzle of chocolate. I also like the little chocolate cookies they included. These are definitely yummy!
Cheddar Chex Mix – Buy 15 oz for $2.98
130 Calories │ 3.5g Fat│ 22g Carbs │ 2g Protein (per ½ cup) – Expires January 26, 2019
I was so happy to see these; Cheddar Chex Mix has always been a favorite snack of mine. I used to buy these things in middle school every day. I don’t buy them as often now, but I still love them as much. I love the Chex mix and the cheddar crackers. These will not last long at all (and I am not sharing!).
Betty Crocker Mug Treats – Cinnamon Roll – Retail Value $2.99
340 Calories │ 8g Fat│ 65g Carbs │ 3g Protein (per ½ cup) – Expires March 21, 2019
I have seen the chocolate cake version of these but have never ventured out to try them. We eat cinnamon rolls here a lot, so this flavor was a definite win for us. These are definitely not healthy, at all, with high calories, carbs, and sugar but they are really, really delicious. I am glad there are only 4 to a box.
Verdict: This month’s box was filled with a lot of sweets but I am not complaining! As I keep receiving more and more boxes, I am seeing a pattern on what to expect like Combo snacks and some sort of candy in each box. I would like to see more cookies, or even something sour. Either way, this is a favorite subscription in the Castaneda household.
