Welcome to our monthly post highlighting our favorite discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite items from the past month:
Liz's Favorite:
The Item: Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch
The Cost: $95
From: POPSUGAR Must Have x Neiman Marcus Box
Why I love it: This sparkly clutch just feels so special! I tend to wear mostly black dresses/outfits, so this has been the perfect amount of pop for my holiday outfits! It's large enough to fit all my essentials, and there is no glitter fall out!

The Item: KaÏa Collective Sheer Sparkle Fitted Top, size large
The Cost: Retail Value $58.00 (Le Tote Price $48.00)
From: You Voted, Now She Has To Wear It: Marne’s Le Tote Review
Why I love it: I ended up wearing this top so much all month! I found it to be the perfect glimmer of holiday spirit with the metallic gold threading. The long sleeves made it somewhat appropriate for the colder weather even though the thin see-thru material made it a little sexy and fun. My favorite way to style this was under my black overalls! I paired it with the socks I got from the Nov/Dec Norlii box as well!

Haley's Favorite:
The Item: MPG Sport Valencia 3.0 Hoodie in Heather Charcoal
The Cost: $60
From: Wantable Fitness Edit
Why I love it: This hoodie is my new favorite thing! In November, I got a wine-colored one which I also kept. It has a really nice weight to it and is quite warm. You can tell that the construction is solid and well-made, too. I like this shade of grey and the design is flattering, with some soft structure to it. Though it does run a little snug, it still fits me fine. This will get lots of wear, especially when running into the gym from my car.

Abby's Favorite:
The Item: Uniful Beauty Creamy Concealer
The Cost: $24
From: Goodbeing
Why I love it: I was really impressed with the formula of this concealer. It has a thick consistency and just melts right into the skin. It is perfect to brighten discoloration under the eye, and it is also perfect to use over dry, healing blemishes. I just warm the surface of this concealer up with my finger, and then apply directly and tap to blend--so easy! After setting this concealer with powder, it lasts all day long, no touch-ups required!

Jessica's Favorite:
The Item: Make P:rem Soothing Layering Double Mask
The Cost: $7
From: Glow Recipe Black Friday Mystery Box
Why I love it: I review a LOT of sheet masks, but this is probably the best sheet mask (of all time, in my life) that I have ever used. It is a two-layer mask with the second layer being a thicker material with two sets of ear loops that hug your jawline (and thus, the first mask) close to your face, and it is super comfortable to wear. This had amazing ingredients like tea tree, Centella Asiatica (tiger grass), aloe vera, bamboo extract, allantoin, and hyaluronic acid. I used this to heal a MASSIVE angry cystic pimple, and I was amazed by how soothed it was- it seriously diminished in size considerably, and the next day was almost gone. I want to stock up and buy fifty of these sheet masks to have on hand for when I get my next break-out because this seriously was that impressive.

Laine's Favorite:
The Item: Marv Pin with Chain
The Cost: Listed Value $16
From: Laserbrain Patch Co. (Coupon: Use code SUBADDICT to save $2 off your first month!)
Why I love it: Seriously - just look at that screaming face! This insanely clever pin of Marv from “Home Alone” being hit with an iron is both an amazing concept and execution of design. It really resembles actor Daniel Stern, and the imprint of the iron has me just cracking up every time I look at it. I can’t wait to put this on a jacket and see if it gives anyone a chuckle when I’m out and about!

The Item: Vidalana Ember Sport Yarn by KnitCrate in Honey & Jam
The Cost: $24.00
From: KnitCrate Sock Yarn Box (Coupon: Use code MSA20 to save 20% off your first KnitCrate when you sign up here!)
Why I love it: This self-striping yarn was such a fun twist on holiday colors! I appreciated that there were so many options of how you could use this yarn, and so many different projects that it would work for. I love the look of Nordic Fair Isle, which is very popular right now, and love the Nordic-inspired socks that I was able to create with this yarn!

Ragan's Favorite:
The Item: Cat Lady Zip Jacket
The Cost: $32.99
From: Cat Lady Box
Why I love it: As I looked back through all the items I received in subscription boxes in December, this is the one I have actually used the most often. My husband keeps the house pretty cold in the winter and I always need extra layers. I even wear it doing yoga in my basement exercise room. If you are interested in getting one, I’d suggest sizing up so it works as outerwear (mine is size S, but I wear an XS top, and this is perfect over a t-shirt).

Megan's Favorite:
The Item: Rosewater Balancing Mist
The Cost: $38.00
From: Jurlique x SkinStore Limited Edition Beauty Box
Why I love it: Toners are admittedly the one skin care step that I often neglect unless it is the height of summer and I have been storing them in my fridge to beat the heat. They are important because they add hydration and therefore allow you to use less product after application, which saves mad $$$. Toners are the unspoken all-stars of your routine! This one is pure roses and moisture. It is super refreshing and you can fake a super dewy look by lightly spraying it on top of your finished makeup look.

Nich's Favorite:
The Item: Michael W.Smith Presents Strings of Christmas
The Cost: $15
From: Faithbox
Why I love it: This instrumental CD has been my favorite holiday music this season. I have had it on repeat the majority of December. The string quartet played a lovely selection of my holiday favorites, such as Joy To The World, Deck The Halls, We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Oh, Holy Night. The Strings of Christmas made for festive background music while visiting my mother.

The item: Save Money or YOLO Oversized Tote Bag
The Cost: Retail Value $18? (based on a similarly sized bag in their shop)
From: Smartass & Sass (Coupon: Use code MSA10 to save 10% off your first box!)
Why I love it: While bags with sayings on them are not usually my thing, I absolutely love how huge this bag is! The dimensions are 17 1/2” x 20”x7” and I found it incredibly useful for lugging around presents from house to house over the holidays! This bag holds so much and since it is a nice canvas bag, it stands up to a good amount of weight. I definitely think this will come in handy a lot when I need to lug stuff around for the kids!

The Item: DIY Yarn Christmas Tree Gift Packages
The Cost: $28.95
From: Confetti Grace DIY Subscription
Why I love it: Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, and I love anything Christmas related! I was so excited to get a Christmas craft kit to share with my son. He is also big into crafts and loves creating gifts for others. The Christmas trees were beautiful, and the snowglobe cards we made were the cutest cards ever! We had a great bonding experience and also had 2 awesome gifts to share when we were done. Perfect to give to great-grandmas!

The Item: Kumamoto Tonkotsu Ramen
The Cost: $5 for 2 servings
From: Umai Crate (Coupon: Use code MSA3 to save $3 off your first Japan Crate Premium, Doki Doki Crate, Umai Crate, or Kira Kira Crate)
Why I love it: I knew right away that this ramen was going to be a hit, because I can’t get enough of a good tonkotsu broth. It certainly didn’t disappoint! This pack came with two servings, and was made extra savory with the addition of mayu black garlic oil, which is garlic burned in sesame oil for a unique depth of flavor. I mixed in sliced mushrooms, kale leaves, some frozen corn, and topped it with an egg for a delicious and satisfying meal. I’ll definitely be ordering more soon. It far exceeds what I’ve come to expect from instant noodles.
