Panda Pals January 2019 Review
This month's socktivity is all about aviation! We received a cute little styrofoam airplane kit, instructions to build the said airplane, and instructions to fold your very own paper airplane on the other side! This was an absolute hit in our house! For how simple these activities were, we spent at least an hour racing our planes, as well as creating customized new ones!
Our first sock of the month features the Sock Panda mascot wearing a flight cap and goggles floating on a background of clouds. The logo “Panda Pals” is printed on the top of the feet, with yellow heels and toes for an added pop of color. Charlie was extremely excited to wear these socks, and even kept them on longer than 5 seconds!
Note: Charlie wears a size 11 shoe for reference.
Our next pair of socks is grey in color, with a light blue heel and toe. They also feature the “Panda Pals” logo across the top, but this pair has 2 folded paper airplanes gliding to the ankle and to the toe with blue “contrails” behind. Charlie loved this pattern, and had to make a customized paper airplane to match the ones on these socks! They were a definite hit!
Verdict: Panda Pals really impressed us! This was my first month reviewing this subscription and I have to say I’m very pleased. My 3-year-old Charlie was so excited to receive these in the mail. He had the hardest time deciding which pair to wear first! Not only are the designs adorable, but the socks themselves are made from high-quality Peruvian cotton. They aren’t a heavy sock, but they are definitely much higher quality than a lot of the character socks we currently have. I am excited to see how they hold up and keep their shape! I also like they are a higher sock that stays up my son's legs. These socks do have some stretch to them, so I’m betting my 6-year-old will be borrowing these! We also really enjoyed the airplane activities that were included. It really tied this box together and made getting socks to feel more like Christmas morning!
