Succulents Box January 2019
I received a care instructions card for healthy plants.
I also received an invoice for my order.
I also received this insert advertising Once Upon A Book Club – which we review!
Blue Fairy Echeveria
The first succulent I received is this gorgeous blue plant. It is exactly what I think of when I hear succulent. It is a pretty plant and came in a pretty good size.
Little Warty Gasteria
The next succulent I received in this month’s box is this pretty green little plant. I love the vividness of the green and, what seems to be, polka dots on the leaves. The plant also looks like it's got a couple of them in there, so I cannot wait to see what it does once it blooms!
Moonglow Graptoveria
The third succulent I received is another beautiful plant with a slight pink tinge on each of the leaves. It is probably one of my favorite succulents I have received.
Debbie Graptoveria
The final succulent I received is this reddish-purplish plant. At first glance, I wasn’t too thrilled with its appearance. But when I looked up how it will bloom, I got excited again. It blooms to be a really pretty succulent, staying reddish-purple in the center and will bloom green leaves around it. I am very anxious about how this one will change over time.
Update: A lot of readers have asked what I do with the plants. I did start leaving them in windows around my home, but sunlight never hit them just perfectly right. Due to my porch, I get no sunlight in the front yard and the back is owned by my sweet but nosey pup. When I lost 2 plants, I knew I had to rehome them. They are cared for by my sister in her countryside home. I visit often to see how they are doing. Since I started this subscription, its been mostly winter months, and my plants haven’t had their most favorable environment. But they have been recently potted altogether. I will continue to update as they bloom!
Verdict: I really like the mix of succulents I got this month. For the past couple of month’s I have received a variety of different looking succulents, so I was pretty thrilled to get more plants which I would consider traditional. Like all of my reviews, I am so excited to see these guys bloom!
