Geek Gear World of Wizardry November 2018 Review
In each box from Geek Gear, you’ll find a handy booklet listing all of the products inside! In addition to the products, you will also find a clue for an item in next month’s box and a “Subscriber Spotlight” featuring a community member.
You also receive new Potterverse-themed recipes in every box. This month features Gingerbread wizards and Kreacher’s French onion soup.
Exclusive Wizardry Coin - Listed Value $12.72 (£9.99)
Subscribers could receive the silver coin I received or a limited edition gold coin that is fancier because it’s numbered. That doesn’t really matter to me, but you may feel differently. This coin features the Ravenclaw raven on one side and the Geek Gear logo on the other.
Exclusive Greeting Cards – Listed Value $6.35 (£4.99)
These greeting cards feature quirky Harry Potter-themed art designed by Scottish artist Kevin Cantwell. The inside of each card features a patterned side and a blank space to write a message, and each card comes with an envelope. My favorite is definitely Santa pulling away from Hogwarts!
Exclusive Licensed Harry Potter Hogwarts Key Ring – Listed Value $6.35 (£4.99)
This key ring features the Hogwarts crest on a sturdy rubber backing, and the yellow is quite vivid- you should have no trouble finding your keys with this attached!
Exclusive House Festive Stocking – Listed Value $12.72 (£9.99)
This is a felt stocking that was sent in your chosen house colors with the letter for your house on top. The felt is pretty thin, and I don’t think it is worth the listed value.
Exclusive Magical Creature Egg - Listed Value $12.72 (£9.99)
This item is a miss for me, as the description alludes to the recent Fantastic Beasts film which I haven't seen. Unfortunately, I can't tell what magical creature is poking out- any ideas?
Exclusive Hogwarts House Print - Listed Value $6.35 (£4.99)
This print features the Slytherin house mascot designed in a constellation style. I have a friend who is a die-hard Slytherin fan, so this will be going to her.
Exclusive Potions Master Pin - Listed Value $7.63 (£5.99)
This is a pretty big pin that says “potions master” in black on a green background. I think this would look pretty nifty on a backpack, and the grips attaching to the pin’s points are nice and sturdy.
Exclusive Festive House T-Shirt – Listed Value $15.26 (£11.99)
Every monthly box includes a house t-shirt, and I like the festive vibes of this Gryffindor Lion one. It is an exclusive design printed on a Gildan shirt, and other than the UK sizing being different from the US sizing, I like it.
Verdict: This was a decent box but nothing really wowed me. This is a great box due to all of the exclusive merchandise you can get, so if you’re a big Harry Potter fan I recommended checking this out. While I didn’t agree with all of the listed values for the items, I feel like you get your monies worth for the price of the box.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, order by 01/20 to receive the January box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $31.81 per month + $7.63 US shipping cost, which means that each of the 8 items (not counting the recipe cards) in the box has an average cost of $4.93.
