Lovers Tea
This tea was a delicious blend of rooibos tea, rose petals, marigold flowers, and hibiscus. The color was so rich when brewed, like amber. I love rooibos and I also adore any tea that is floral, so this was a winner for me. I tried it with and without almond milk and both were good. I added raw sugar to each cup because I find that a little sweetness enhanced any floral elements in a tea.
Cape Lookout Mocha Tea
This is a BOOM in your face black tea! The mocha was actually really subtle. I don't love chocolate teas, so I was thankful for that! This tea brews up super strong and very fast, making it a great alternative to your morning coffee. Great black or with all the fixings, it is a solid tea for a black tea enthusiast like myself.
Honeysuckle Rose Tea
Yay! More flowers. This very mild blend is filled with green tea and rose petals. It is very much a spring leaning tea. The flavors are very delicate, and I had to use more tea to brew a flavorful cup, which means that your bag will be empty sooner than most others, but the flavor profile is so soft and demure that it is worth the extra effort and tea leaves. I added honey to this and enjoyed it before bed. Like most greens, beware of brewing too long or too hot, as they love to go bitter.
Earl Grey Grapefruit Tea
This is my favorite of the lot! I adore Earl Grey teas before any other, and this blend of tea, bergamot, dried lemon rinds, flowers, and pink peppercorns (!!!) was delightful. You need not add anything to this tea to enjoy it, but as is my custom, I added in a slice of lemon and honey. Perfection.
Verdict: Amoda Tea sent so many flower teas this month, which made me so happy! From the delicate green to the bold Earl Grey, I loved every tea this month. Even the mocha was really enjoyable, though I would normally avoid chocolate tea. One thing I love about this subscription is that the tea itself is always gorgeous to look at. You can see each and every ingredient, from rose petals to lemon rinds. This makes for a tasty as well as beautiful tea sipping experience that I really enjoy.
